- This extended trailer was released as the final unlockable reward from Blizzard Entertainment's Join the Dominion! promotional site. As people took the Dominion army entrance exam, submitted propaganda in an art contest, and shared the site and content with their friends on Facebook, over 20 rewards were unlocked.

I was so hyped by sc2. Used to download all the trailers, all the battle report videos, it was such a joy to me. The very first game installed in my very first pc. Had such wonderful times playing the campaign, vs ai and making maps. Although I no longer play it, it will always be my first love. Sc, sc bw and sc2 WoL.

blizzard, I love your video games, but I think I speak for everyone when I say... when are you guys going to start making full length movies?
TheYthy The cost (both in time and money) would be far too much to produce a feature-length cinematic of this quality without outsourcing it (which would likely cause the "Blizzard" artistic quality to disappear).

This trailer cannot be beaten, HotS and LotV are great too, but this one is a masterpiece.

+riordian2 LotV dont even have a real trailer. Blizzard went so much out of budget that their LotV trailer is a compilation from other Blizzard games Trailers

+riordian2 It depends how you look at it. Each trailer has it's own emotion tied to it. This trailer reeks of nostalgia (in a good way). HotS makes you feel helpless, because it perfectly demonstrates the overwhelming power of the zerg. LotV has a strong feeling of hope. Personally, I prefer the HotS trailer, because I felt it was the most effective.
Gameplay wise HotS/LotV were a thousand times better, at least they involved more than spamming 2-3 units each mission over and over again

A good story is miles away from a good movie. It takes a lot of effort to make the former into the latter
@Gareth Stott Warcraft was even complicated of it's story. They should start Starcraft as coming from earth introuducing each race in the beginning. Then the battle starts where they must kill the Overmind. That would've been cool.

Blizzard has always been about throwing as many cliches as possible. And ever since they realized many players ignore the story to go straight to multiplayer, even more.

This is a masterpiece of ALL game trailers.
Nearly 7 years later and this is still my favorite trailer of all time.
While watching this, honestly, I got teary. I realized how much I love the Starcraft II universe with all my heart. For some reason I have a deep passion that makes me implode with happiness every time I hear Jimmy's voice. Only now do I realize how incredibly good Starcraft is, it deserves 5000/10.
P.S. I have the strange feeling Zeratul might die, but he's my favourite character of the Protoss, alongside Artanis. I hope he doesn't die :D

Nine years later and it is still one of the greatest game trailers ever created. At this point, Blizzard should just become a film company, because their game quality has been suffering ever since the herpes of gaming (Activision) infected the company. Let us hope that WoW Classic restores the public faith.

I just got done watching the SC2:HOTS cinematic intro again and this video again as well. There's a degree of epicness that will always survive in videos like these. It's awe inspiring.

No it has a quantilion Warcrafts ,3 diablos , a magic the gadering knock off and 2 starcrafts(not county ng the millions upon thousands of expansions) and they are all good
***** WoW is the only MMORPG that made the genre mainstream , made people play nonstop for hours, have more awards than you can count, check the reviews, only game to have that much people playing 12m sub isn't just 12m active users cause there's atleast 4m ppl on private servers, i can keep going for days.
D3 was a disaster @ start, check it now & stop hating for nothing & if you're going to hate on something u should start with Hots cause thats the worst game Blizzard made.

I've played this game. I still watch this trailer when I feel down about the game, reminds me how epic it is.
oh my god, i just love epic trailers such as this, especially the music, adds SO MUCH to the entire video, i love starcraft, been playing since like 2003 (i was 8 then) my brother introduced me to it (i just wish i had a computer that could run SC2 on at least medium shaders, lol)

for me best part of this trailer was the last 10 seconds or so, when the choir rises in crescendo and the Hydralisk just charges at you. Epic.

So im watching all these trailers to get hyped for Tuesday and... this is STILL one of the best trailers ever made. Like, it just feels like its a movie. more so then almost any other video game trailer ever made (with respects to the deus ex human revolution trailer, and the mass effect 2 trailer)
