Friend, one thing I would do in the case of the Columbine [Aquilegia], is take the plant home, plant it, and let atleast 2 or 3 stems go to seed...Columbine are some of the biggest reseeders there are, PERIOD. LOADS OF FREE PLANTS. ❤

I did notice they have a lot of seed pods on them. I planted 2 bare roots from Tulip World earlier on. I think I’m going to go back to Lowe’s and grab one just in case the bare roots do nothing next year. I will thank myself next year . You are “bad” influence!!! You always make me think! Thank you!🥰😃

Dianthus is one of the toughest and most drought tolerant plants (once established). Once you buy a clearance plant you will likely need to care for it and baby it 13:35 back to stronger health. In the heat of summer, plant in the evening, NOT IN THE MORNING, this way the plant has more time to settle in to it's new home. I have seen that people who do plant in the morning/afternoon sometimes shade the plant with an umbrella for several days to let it recover.

Great points!! Thank you for sharing!I take care of my clearance plants late evening when the sun has gone down. Put them in water to soak overnight if needed and I plant late evening the following day. I think I’m going to do a Clearance plant garden tour and share all my clearance plants. Probably 90% of my garden. Hahaha

I've Grown Salvia for years just give it a huge haircut and it will flush out new round of blooms in about 3 weeks so it could bloom 2 rounds in Spring, Summer, and Fall so it's like everblooming, with some help from you...same for Scabiosa, Veronica, Coreopsis.

I do that to my Salvia after blooming. I don't like to because it’s “unsightly” but I know the plant needs it!🥰
