      Good to know! At least you have some details ahead of time so you can see what flowers you want to grow this year. Looking at them in the store can be overwhelming. So you can watch the videos at your own pace and make a note of what you like and where you going to put them in the garden, than randomly picking up seeds with no thought at the store. Thank you for watching Lisa!🩷

    Friend that tall yellow Helichrysum is a type of Strawflower.

    Marigolds also keep away white flies and aphids off of your roses if you plant them around their 'feet'.

      Thanks for sharing that tip. I did plant the Kilimanjaro Marigold next to my roses last year but they grew bigger than the roses.. I don’t like the yellow ones next to them. It depends on the colors of the roses. I'm on the hunt for the white Marigolds to plant around them. They are rare to find. Found at Walmart last year but much later in the season.

      Great tip. I started more Sweet William late Summer so will see. I love those from DT so I got more. The blooms are spectacular.

    Good video, really liked that you paused on each plant so that there was time to focus, pause the video and read. 😊 can I suggest some bookmarks even if just separating the veg from the flowers? Just an idea.

    Hey friend have you ever noticed that they have Alyssum in any other colour other than white at 💲🌳

    • @alexandrinavictoriagarden583
      @alexandrinavictoriagarden583  5 часов назад

      Dollar Store only carry the white. However, Target has them. Releasing the video tomorrow. I think they have the mixed colors, that gawgeous golden Alyssum and purple. I was surprised when I saw a lot of colors. If you can’t find them, let me know and I’ll send you some.

    Friend it's that time again. I have to.admit altho' not a really fancy selection....I always buy what seems like $15 worth of seeds from Dollar Tree....which is alot of packets while at most other seed carriers...that usually buys me maybe 4 packs....lol you gotta love💲🌳

      You’re right, I can’t go wrong with that, Dollar Tree has the best value! Great germination rate too!!!!💲🌳

    There are a lot of typos in the new packaging, the height of some of them and the picture of the helichrysum (strawflower) is wrong

    By the way Alexandria did your store get any bulbs in? I keep checking my store and other stores in the cities but I can’t find any dollar trees that have bulbs. Maybe I’m too early or dollar tree never carried bulbs this year. 😫😫😫 Liz in California

      Not as yet. Bulbs are later in January, early February along with Bare Root roses. Can’t wait for them.

    I have NEVER seen a marigold grow that tall before either!!! 😂😂😂 A lot of the packets are wrong about their heights. I wonder if they know?

      Hi Melissa, That’s crazy! I will call Customer Service later today. I feel bad for new gardeners who wouldn’t know the measurements are incorrect. Thank you for watching!🥰

    • @GardenHappy
      @GardenHappy 4 часа назад

      Perhaps on the back of the seeds, they list a generalized information because we all live in different garden zones. Maybe the marigolds do get that tall in warmer climates like Arizona, Texas, California. That’s the only thing I can think of why they would state those measurements. 🤔🤔🤔 Liz
