- What do you do when your RV is just too big to take you to many of the beautiful camp sites our country has to offer. Come along with us and see how we are attempting to solve that exact problem.
Learning new things keeps you young. Good for you and have fun!! And happy birthday, Bob!
Fun video! I have never thought of Pearl as a sissy-lala although there have been times that label "might" have fit me! Pearl has always been an example of a brave and strong woman for me! Proud she is in my family! Have fun with the jeep.
Always excellent editing!
Nice new toy! Should bring a lot of joy and videos!
Cathy and I are intrigued with the Alaska adventure! I have driven it 5 times in my younger days. Have 2 daughters still in Anchorage.
Always enjoy the videos Bob.
Keep the wheels on the bottom!
Cathy, Kenny and Lewis.
Hey Ken, we're looking forward to driving on those PNW ocean beaches like you and Cathy took us on earlier this year. I'm trying to figure out just what kind of recovery equipment I might need just in case my confidence gets bigger than my skill set.
I make too many trips to the bathroom to use a ladder every trip. I'd skip the rooftop tent and be back at the RV at night.
Me too
Only time will tell on just how much fun it is climbing up and down that ladder during the night. But we are hoping there will be many Adventures to places we may never have been to reach previously to overcome the potty breaks. at least that is our hope
Hey guys, Laura and I will be spending this summer on the WA and OR coast and would love to meet up with you if you are going this summer. Love the Jeep. We miss our Wrangler when we see trails like these.
Hi Scott, I am thinking we will end up on the coast again this winter but the Jeep has changed things a bit. We will most likely follow the coast and use the jeep for day trips and hopefully some overnight camp outs in some sweet spots (assuming we can find some sweet spots)
Congrats on your new Jeep! Just remember there are always going to be places you can't get in it doesn't matter what you have. Have fun and stay safe.
I think you make a very good point, the best campsite is just up the road a bit further
Yes and not only that I have seen them stop people backpacking from getting in at a national park because there was no room. When they reach a certain level of visitors they close the gate. I have never not found a place to stay in the area I wanted to go driving a 45' DP. I park my mobile condo and use my toad to go explore. We are not full time but we are on our 3ed lower 48 map. @@JustPassingThru
Pearl does like her vehicles clean! Me thinks Bob will be sharpening his washing skills quite often.
Where will the hairdryer plug in on those overnights in the Jeep????
Hey There Joe! You are right on track but if it keeps her happy and willing to travel in the Jeep, I figure it is a good trade off. Love them free power stations to help keep Pearl's power grid operational.
Congrats on your new Jeep! Scott and I would love to join you guys to Alaska! It's been on our bucket list for years! 😀
Thanks Laura glad you enjoyed our fun day just jeeping around. I think Lenny and Angelia are simply putting together a loose caravan where folks connect ever few days or week but pretty much do their own routing. There will most likely be a number of folks that join in but it is all sort of a unofficial caravan. We will know more next winter as we get closer
I’m surprised that pearl would climb up and down a ladder with her condition but it doesn’t surprise me that she’s willing to try. good luck and happy trails. And as Roy use to sing happy trails to you until we meet again
I loved Roy and Dale as a kid and look forward to getting to meet up with you again Michael. You are correct on Pearl and her can do spirit. Time will tell on how well she does going up and down that ladder in the middle of the night to run to the restroom (I will probably need to escort her but that's just part of the deal). Great hearing from ya
Hi Bob and Pearl. Congratulations of the Gladiator. Sounds like your caravan is made but I would love to tag along to Alaska. Bob not sure you will like that pop up tent on the Jeep. Up and down a ladder during the night does not sound like fun to me. LOL It's not going to stop bears either. Bob you may have to change your channel name to Next Exit or Next Hill. LOL
Hey Don, we are looking forward to what the future is going to bring with the Jeep and Tent. The late night bathroom trips will be a challenge but we are really going to try and turn some of our Dreams into Memories with the Jeep, since our Camping and Traveling Adventures will most likely end well before we hit 80 and that is a short trip from where we are now at 75. Lok forward to seeing when you get back here on the West Coast
@@JustPassingThru Enjoy and I am looking forward to it myself.
That was a fun day. Ron & Ricki
We agree, thanks for leading the way and making it a fun adventure.
Super excited for you guys. Look forward to going out with you guys when you’re back in Oregon. Love you lots.
Hey Steve, we're really looking forward to exploring some of your roads and mountain trails with you and that awesome ride you have. Love Ya Son
Bob & Pearl congratulations Have fun on your new destination(Next Exit) Alaska.
We are really looking forward to this summer and finding some fun camping sites along with our RV travels. 2025 seems like so far away but I know it will be here in the blink of the eye. LOL
Looks like fun ! Robert from Ohio !
Happy anniversary !
Thanks Robert,
Sounds like fun Bob. When I had my 4 runner I used to 4 wheel all over AZ. Sedona has some amazing off road trails. I would find abandoned mines and all kinds of stuff. So happy for you guys but I don’t like hearing you talk about hanging it up after your Alaska trip. I know it’s inevitable but I just don’t like it. We sure have enjoyed our RV experiences with you guys. 😊
Hey Charles, hopefully we will have so much fun with the Overlanding to Alaska, we will not want to quit but in forecasting the future it is like you said "inevitable" that it will end sooner rather than later. We look forward to seeing you two many more times before our travels end.
Congratulations on the Jeep. I have a 2003 Rubicon Tomb Raider limit edition I love it and I know you will love yours. Happy Anniversary and many, many more.
Thanks Greg, those Rubicon trucks sure look like a lot of fun going almost anywhere, we're sure looking forward to some new trails and campsites that we now might have access to.
Congratulations Pearl on your new jeep
Thanks
Awesome Video, make more, especially more Jeep adventures
We are looking forward to enjoying the Jeep and all the great places it may take us that we could not get to previously. Glad you enjoyed the video
We are so looking forward to the gang going to Alaska, we hope everyone can make it! Going to have so much fun on the Alaska adventure 😊
HI Guys, if we have as much fun going to Alaska as we did with the crew last week-end it will definitely be a blast.
Good for you two!! I can’t wait to see some of your new adventures. White is a good choice. It won’t show the Arizona pinstripes nearly as much. 😂
Hey Ted, I agree that it is a good thing Pearl chose white as she is definitely trying her hand out with Pin-Striping. I thought about you and the Jeep you had upgraded to when we last saw you in Oregon. I think it was a Rubicon and you were quite happy with the improved off road capabilities it has. We're not there yet but definitely looking forward to some off road adventures. We're putting the bed rack and tent on tomorrow and plan to go camping next week for a day or two just to see if we are actually up to the changes involved with some tent camping.
Best of luck and fun!
It is definitely going to be a change in our travel style but hopefully open up a whole new Adventure Style.
Nice job we had a great time. Tell Pearl, now that she got her 1st taste and feet dirty we'll try something a little more technical next time.
Hey Ron, you did a great job leading us and we can't wait till next time, I am guessing if we all actually make the Alaska trip we will put to good use all the experience we can fit into the next year. I spent almost an hour getting all that mud off the jeep yesterday. LOL
The Jeep RV tent can be Bob's man-cave!
I have to be careful and make sure Pearl enjoys the roughing it camping style or that could really turn out to be my Man-Cave (or doghouse 🙂)
Wow, first Happy Birthday Bob and Happy Anniversary. I've owned three Jeeps and my current rig is a two-door 2014 Rubicon which I've had for 8 years. I've installed a wench and bumper on the front and have taken it off road a few times but it's my everyday driver so so rock or hill climbing. Can't wait to see what you and Pearl add to your new Jeep!!!
I am planning to add a wench and front bumper next, but haven't decided on the wench yet (suggestions?) I am thinking I will put the Rockhard 4X4 Patriot aluminum full width bumper with the RoadMaster tow bar option (RH90245) it is a little spendy but it saves me the expense of adding a base plate for towing and only weighs 37 lbs.
Excellent start Bob!!!@@JustPassingThru
Awesome enjoy
Thanks Tammy, so far we like it pretty well. There is a reason all you guys are driving Jeeps 🙂
Congratulations you guys! looks like fun. I was always taught in water go slow and slower.. Back in the day we had a Distributor, Points and Etc to worry about , I don't think the new electronics are water proof yet. Least you guys were safe.. What are you doing with the car?
No doubt slow is the way to go, but just not as much fun. It took a while to get most of that mud off but it was well worth it. We traded the Lincoln in on the Jeep as we don't really need two vehicles (at least not often)
Ya'll are awesome adventurers. Looking forward to your overlanding videos. Keep having fun!
We are looking forward to our new Adventures with the Jeep, not sure how it will all work out but we will definitely be making new memories. Thanks for watching
sounds like another great adventure. Don & Tina
Hi Guys, we sure hope so, at least it keeps us moving and enjoying our Adventure. Hope you two are having fun as well
Looks like a great time. If you are going to buy a jeep, complain they are expensive maybe its because you started at the top model lol.
Hi Gary, to be honest we have owned a couple of jeeps and they were even more expensive (they were new), but I never had a drop of trouble with either one of them and hopefully this one will be the same. We will be headed up your general direction about this time next year.
Hi you guys. Happy Anniversary. Best wishes
Howdy rusty, tomorrow is our big day and I think we will take a short Jeep drive but no Mud.
Your car could have made it through all those puddles and trails. No need for a jeep😂🤣
You may have a point but that was just a fun day with friends. We have had a couple of jeeps previously as well as a number of other 4 wheel drive trucks and loved traveling around the back country with our horses and camping in some great locations. The horses are gone but the desire to find those same type campsites in still there and hopefully the Jeep will help us find some of them again. Our Lincoln couldn't come close to those sites even in our dreams.
Just kidding 😂 Enjoy your new toy. Alaska sounds exciting. Can't wait to see the videos ❤
Thanks Robert, we're having a lot of fun trying to get the jeep ready for some camping and try to get ready for our big trip up north. @@Robert-uq5ew
I'm putting my money on the two of you not sleeping in the Jeep for multiple days.
Sleep in the jeep? No way. Class A to a jeep......in your 70s......no thanks.
Hi John, you are correct in not many days in a row but hopefully many many single and double night camping trips with a week or two in-between recovering at home or the RV.
🎶 track? It’s *Even If the Sky Is Falling Down* by *Candelion feat. Cara Dee* - and yes we are THRILLED to be your trusted provider.
