  • Renting a car can be tricky in another country especially if the language spoken is not the same as your native language. Here are tips and tricks on how to rent a car in Mexico.

    North American credit cards only cover CDW / LDW but not third party liability. You'd have to purchase TPL irrespective of which card you use.

      not true, they cover tpl as standard

      @@MT-xy7fw looks like Avis Budget and other car rentals have been conning me throughout my 12+ trips to Mexico 🇲🇽

    Hello! What website did you go to get the bus schedule? I wen to the ADO website and it never works for me.

      Use the ADO website or type in google ADO schedule and another website should pop up.

    How much is the extra insurance they try to sale you ?

      It varies but it can be anywhere for $200 plus easily.

      @@YiNkZZ im going to Cancun. I’m renting a car on thrifty through Expedia. It is offering me coverage for a additional $11 per day. Would I need to buy more insurance once I get there ?

      You should not need to get any more insurance but they can find stuff to try to upsell you. Just tell them you have all the required insurance and don't need anything more. Once I did almost everything online but they said I still needed to pay way more. So I prefer dealing with them in person!
