Thank you Mr. Fujita! I think a great video topic would be the guitar comping in Fantasy by Meiko Nakahara. The rhythm is amazing and is hard to achieve. Perhaps its is a matter of practicing 16th notes with a metronome. Also, I believe he is leaving out the chord roots as well, and that this was common for the time

Very cool guitar! The front pickup sounds absolutely perfect in terms of tone in my ears for this style of playing and other styles as well. I would use that rear pickup if I wanted to add distortion or add layers with effects to thicken up the rear pick up. Put a Compression Sustainer and distortion pedal on for the rear pickup to make it breathe a little bit with a little more bite. I'd try setting the distortion pedal gain set to high, then use your volume knob and adjust how much distortion you want or little by using the volume pot on the guitar. There is one thing I'd like to see you do with this guitar. I don't have one of these guitars nor have I ever played on one of these but I'm curious what the strings sound like in between where the bridge and saddle are at. I incorporate using that area from time to time in my songs. I strum it as playing high keys like on a piano while I use my left hand for doing hammer on and pull offs, etc. I've got this old Gibson copy guitar called a Conrad that I use specifically for those moments. It was the the best $50.00 guitar I've ever spent! Lol! I'd be curious with your guitar with the front and rear pickup both on what it sounds like when trying this method. Would have to adjust volume and tone knobs to get it dialed in. Enjoy your content as always. Got to get back to work. Building a one off custom pinball machine.

In the past I tried to play Amaj7 in that shape( fret 4-5-6-7 at 1-2-3-4th string) before, but I struggled to change the finger to the position. I then realized that I could just play C#m over A and it still a n Amaj7. I came up with C#m shape at string 1-4 and put the thumb on the 6th string at 5th fret. That's easier to me as I already familliar with C#m.
But later I have to get back to that shape when I took courses. My teacher won't let me pass lol. It's nothing personal but he just have to comply with the school's teaching I guess. Anyway the different is quite subtle, it's just G# versus A on the 4th string.
It's actually more fun when you can play one chord in different position and different shape of fingering. Even at the same position I can choose to play wither that stair shape, the C#m shape, or the one with out the first string. Playing the same thing all the time can be quite boring. Of course the note behind those fingering is more important.
Oh and I don't have any cheating for that Emaj9 chord still lol. I really like that chord, still practicing hard to perfect it.
PS. sometime I even just play Amaj7 only the top 3 strings with thumb on the 6th string. It's still a perfect Amaj7 effectively :D

Hey Tomo, this is a little bit of a personal comment, but I figured I wasn't the only one who has felt this way. I've hit the guitarist burn out stage, but I feel like instead of just not wanting to play guitar, I just can't seem to find the time or motivation to put time into the music I really enjoy. I've always dreamt of making my own music, or gathering up some friends and making my own band, but the band I've been in for a while has burnt me out from playing the same old classic rock covers. I live in a rural part of the country, and the people here don't have an ear for the jazz, funk, and fusion stuff. I've been debating on dropping the cover band stuff and actually look at making my own group. I don't really know what I'm aiming for in this comment. However, I hope that you have some guitar wisdom to give me on the topic of my issue. Even if you don't, thank you for what you do, you'll always be the best and will continue to always inspire me. Thank you Tomo.
