    I remember when I was a kid a neighbor had a sable collie. That lady was always brushing her dog. But the would go for walks after brushing and her hair looked just like a flag it was that well combed.. and the dog knew how gorgeous she was. She walked with her head up and just the best gait to show off!!! Love your dog and make them proud!!!

    Wow you can see the difference a good brushing does for a dog. I don't have one myself but it is something I want so this is really educational for me. If rather learn from a professional whilst I don't own an animal rather than be on the back foot.
    I initially came to your channel because of a matter cat video (poor moggie) and stayed for the dogs. I just can't understand how owners don't do this stuff for heir pets if you do it right it becomes a good regular treat for them because their fur works properly.

    I love watching your videos! I don’t have a dog right now, but I want one soooo bad. Every now and then I mistakenly watch another groomer. I automatically realize that you’ve got them beat hands down! I save every one of your videos. I watch them more than once also. You’re a Great explainer and fun to watch! Before I know it, 2 to 3 hours are gone before my eyes start crossing and I have to shut you down for the day. There are a couple of tools I’d like to get. But unfortunately I only get SSI. But in a couple of months, the 1st tool I would like to get is that big black brush you use a lot. I’d like to see a close up of how you use the long fork type attachments. I’m assuming you do it like the regular blades and use them by the tips. Great videos! Keep them coming please. Much better than Facebook any day!

      Mom and I have done a lot together with brushing. See the first 3 and skip one and then the one where he's on the bench. They used to come required every 2 weeks, we switched it up to every 30 days, but if matted higher rate. ruclips.net/user/myfavoritegroomersearch?view_as=subscriber&query=max

    I’m considering getting a Tulear and this video helped get a sense of what these dogs look like as adult with there hair fully grown and natural. Although I love their personalities, I think I’m going to pass. I’m a guy and I would be a little embarrassed walking around with breeds like this in public lol. But as far as personality and affection they are top dog;)

    Dede, I have a question. I have a 2 month old Coton de Tuléar, when would be the right time for me to brush her?

    • @TheDesiLiter
      @TheDesiLiter 6 лет назад +1

      Vanessa Anne Start as early as possible :) you want them to get used to the brush, so start with just getting them used to the feeling of something on their fur (maybe use the flat side of the brush the first times, then move on to actually brushing the fur). No point in waiting :) you want to work on their fur everyday so they get as used to it as possible. You have a dog with a high maintenance fur, you really should know how to take care of it before getting the dog :)

I dont plan to shave my girl down myself, but it'd be useful to know some grooming tips for her breed especially. She has those neck wrinkles Springers get, but incredibly long ears and feathering! She sheds like no tomorrow

Is this a dog that is only brushed every 2 weeks or do parents brush too?? this appears to be a very high maintain breed.. but he is being very good.. one more question... if you start grooming a puppy ... I’m sure you have steps use use to help them learn how to be good.. could you mention some of those.. in videos?? Thanks and I appreciate your videos so much!!!🌺🌺🌺🌺

      I obviously don't know for sure but if I had to guess I'd say the owners do a quick daily brush and the appointment every 2 weeks is for a good, thorough job with professional tools. I say this because I know that hair texture and it grabs debris (grass, sticks, etc.) like crazy, and I would think that if he only got brushed every 2 weeks then he'd come in with all sorts of junk stuck in his hair. That's just my best guess though.

      LorLor Slinger they probably do brush at home, but might not be able to be quite as thorough as Dede can get with her training and special tools. Now I don't know them, but I imagine a quick daily brush and a good thorough grooming every 2 weeks from Dede is what's going on here, seeing as he didn't have any debris in his fur (my cats collect outside debris like crazy and they're only medium-haired. Thank goodness they get it off themselves!)
