I'd say its the lyrics... because I could dig Love but I can't relate to the lyrics I think but the tune is nice... However I'm not in love with the lyrics or tune to LFL... :( Its the first time I've felt like this with a Lana song. Do you like the new stuff she's coming out with?

Yeah, I actually like them. It's more optimistic/major-key and reminds me of her unreleased demos that reference '60s girl bands, e.g. _Driving In Cars With Boys_ . Also, in her _Rolling Stone_ interview, she said: "Everything I'm going to do is going to have the opposite reaction of what I meant. So I should do the opposite if I want a good reaction." I guess that explains the *sonic shift* with this new material.
That interview was done a while ago right? She also makes reference to that in her song Gonna Love Me " Jerry says that anytime I think I have a good Idea, I should do the opposite of whatever it is I feel". So maybe your right with this new shift in music. I can see how it reminds you of those unreleased songs, but... its like the lyrics are more simple... I can't put my finger on it.... But like she said in another intervew about LFL that this album was meant for her younger listeners so I think that might be another thing thats coming into play and maybe Im not young enough LOL idk Im sure it has to do with me loving sad songs more.
