    I had something similar happen to me. I was on my roof at 2:00 a.m. servicing my a/c because it was freezing up from the fan motor going out. I had my garden hose up there with me and I pulled the hose to get more slack and when I did it knocked the ladder down. I have a two story house. Luckily I had my cell phone. My wife worked nights at the time so I couldn’t call her. Luckily my 12 year old son answered the phone, he was in the house sleeping. He came out and set the ladder up. If he didn’t not sure what plan B was. Long story short, I know the feeling. Enjoy all of your content and attention to detail. Good luck.

    • @ashleywoolnough4884
      @ashleywoolnough4884 3 года назад

      I stole this from online as I hadn’t heard the term Verge before, hopefully it makes sense.
      A Verge is the sloping EDGE of a pitched roof above a gable. It can be flush with the wall or it can have overhang including the canterleavering of roofing battens or purlins.
      A Barge or more correctly BARGE BOARD is a trim member which covers the intersection of a gable wall and the roof or is attached to the ends of the battens or purlins.
      A Barge Board is sometimes called a Verge Board.
      A VERGE is a descriptive LOCATION and a BARGE BOARD is a descriptive ITEM.
      A Barge Board is sometimes called a Verge Board.
      I’m a roofer in Australia and where I’m from, we would call what you are talking about either a barge or barge board

    How much does a package deal like that cost? I'm assuming the concrete is not included in the package price. I'm just down the interstate from you in Crestview and seriously considering building a house like that.

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  3 года назад

      Well the pole barn package was under 14k. That's roofing, poles, 2x6 purlins, trusses, mounting hardware and delivery. I upgraded the roofing, trusses and post length for this build. Everything else from concrete, studs and plywood I had to buy myself.
