@@TheTransportRUclipsr it's simply illegal to keep a commercial vehicle on the road after it's statutory lifespan is up. You can keep them off the road in theory but the authorities do not believe in preservation as they aim to portray the country as modern. Therefore they rarely ever sell the bus to enthusiasts, in fact only 2 buses were ever preserved in running condition, both overseas. Several retired buses exist in Singapore as static displays for practical purposes like a classroom etc. Once they outlive their usefulness they will likely be disposed of. There's a bendy bus that's kept by a bus operator on private lane but its fate is unknown.
@@glitchFan2428 Do they not allow Enthusiats to buy and ship them off or is it more complicated than that? Unless Singapore doesnt like their old buses being on show in the rest of the world as it could negatively affect the portray of the country. Nice archive however :)
@@TheTransportRUclipsr thank you. From my personal experiences no, they do not allow people to ship them overseas. They do not understand the concept of being a bus enthusiast at all, and they most certainly do not want what they call "old scrap" on display for the world to see. It's been done twice though so it's not impossible.
Greetings from London! This is a pretty nice sounding bus. Quite enjoyed the unlocked pullaway at 2:13, but nothing beats a good locked ZF pullaway! I visited Singapore in November 2018 and it was mostly Voith Citaros and B9s - didn't hear a single kickdown anywhere! Anyway nice catch, thanks for sharing!
You clearly visited at the wrong time, these kinds of buses were already scrapped just a few years before your visit. There is still one bus here with ZF kickdowns, the Scania K230UB, the Euro 5 version is the best.
@Clement Siut No they dont, have u ever taken a bus before jeez.. this is insane musical redlining, the bus revs to the redline before it shifts up, unlike in most cases when it shifts up way before the redline.

This music sums up my childhood! I listen to this over and over again.
glad you enjoyed it!
thanks a lot
I REALLY REALLY LOVE IT please record the remaining B10s
The Piano Guy Potato the remaining B10Ms don't have this sound already though. But yes I'll be recording them
Yeah. They're a lot softer... try and record them when they rev up. You might get something
Damn the nostalgia... why does Singapore even ban the act of preserving buses like these
1969
1985
2614
2633
The 4 powerful striders that still have a punch in pick-up.
Never regretted driving these 4
1969 is still my all time favorite haha
All buses are coincidentally running services from Tampines.
This is my childhood favourite bus, nostalgic
Same! :)
Probably the best ZF Ecomat Bus
So much more pleasant than the typical ZF4HP500 before going past the red line.
This ZF is mega, shared.
Cheers mate. It's such a shame that all B10M Striders were scrapped
@@glitchFan2428 I heard that Singapore is anti-preservation, is that right?
Is planning permission stopping ppl from bus preservation centres?
