Finally, he answers questions about how recruiters hire at b-school and what qualities are finance students valued at. He shares how even a smart JEE topper and rank holder may not be able to bag the best jobs. He talks about the relevance of doing an MBA and the method of finding one’s passion.

Key Takeaways
1. Macro & microeconomics are very useful subjects for future market aspirants.”
2. Accounting practices are super important in life and in a career.
3. IIMs are not philosophical schools; They are not supposed to teach you how to lead a life, they’re supposed to make you better at your job.
4. The business taxation course is designed to help students manage their personal finance better when they start earning money.
5. It may be difficult to relate to certain courses at b-school, but do pay attention to them because you never know when these courses will come in handy.
6. Recruiters don’t mind losing out on good candidates; they avoid hiring the bad ones.
7. Developing a hobby can help you with that coveted work-life balance.

This guy is really a pro in whatever he does. The way he linked Type A and Type B errors of statistics with the recruitment process shows that. Thanks Inside IIM for bringing such a great guest.

Are BS and MS students from IIT considered engineers during the CAT by IIMs? If no, how much of a difference does it make in selection?
The most important subject that is given the least importance at a b-school is organisational behaviour u realise its importance when u come in working life.....at the end of the day u have to deal with people then and there they struggle be it anyone.

Waiting for the same
this guy reminded me of my ssb varanasi centre president when he had said that he had selected only one candidate ..i was the one...he had said to crowd that they make sure we dont hire a bad one..so there are many good ones getting rejected today and we selected only the one who we think fits into the army role as an officer..recommended!
Thanks for sharing this anecdote,
Stay tuned for more valuable content in future.
Ankit sir
Anchit is your brother

Are online MBAs good ?
I don't know whether the title goes with the content of the video
He is too good
What is Kevin Jonas doing in the background photo?😂
U say companies leave 5 good but don't want to hire 1 bad . How will u find out is the person bad😀
So first they dig into the candidate's acads which means they want a person who consistently scores above 90 throughout their career. Here a lot of crows gets disbursed.
Next you spike matters a lot. Lets say you were a university topper or some youtuber. Lastly they look for curiosity in you to learn and this mostly happens in your interview.
Everything went fine until he talked about how he was embarrassed because his sister was faster than him 🙄
You compare a fifth class pass Thomas Edison and the engineering graduate in India Thomas Edison invented bulb and engineering students in India is keep on doing research what's the use of engineering in India better do commerce management course we have done engineering just for the sake of will of the parents we are not having that much of knowledge and concept clearity about engineering so that we can invent or build something new we can't repair even simple LED bulb forget about invention.Commerce students out there in India you have to be considered yourself as more valuable person than this sirf naam ka type engineer.A fifth class pass Edison have more value than this sirf naam ka engineer
But commerce students can't crack these exams
@@kbshrivastav8539 It's not about exam it's about taking the course which you are genuinely interested
@@kbshrivastav8539 Eh?
I respect his position but man this dude is so bad at talking, my mind got uncomfortable listening to him.
Why do you think so, would you explain?
Never mind.. not everyone is good at everything, he has his own strengths and he knows how to capitalise on his strengths.
And his communication skills are not that bad as you have made it look like. It was preety understandable.
@@InsideIIMKonversations On the contrary, I want to listen him for hours. I think a day spent with him would be equal to 4 years of my engineering life.
The host is so bad. Please change your host.
