I'm sucked in...for real this time....
I keep trying to explain why I like Grimes so much and the only explanation I can come up with is how every song is layered. The melody, the vocals, the beats are intertwined in a way I have never experienced with other artists much. It feels... Alive. Every time I listen I hear it differently, notice something new about it, as if it has physical volume and one can look inside.
Andromeda Kai yes, the replay value in these songs is there. I love the journey of catching every little fuzz, harmony, white noise etc
You guys need to listen some shoegaze... this layered sounds are not new at all. My Bloody Valentine is a good start.

Its really clever, I forgot the technical term for it but its where you make the word soundlike what it is eg: when singers sing the word high in a song and make their voice go higher

Grimes is the main reason I had the guts to write an album (my first) in quarantine. I had a dream I was at her wedding and she asked if she could see what I was "working on" and I woke up and songs just came out of me and onto the computer. Thanks Grimes!

1:02 - 1:09 is my favourite part and it never exactly repeats. You end up subconsciously waiting for something in the chorus that isn’t there, and it’s not until you listen to it again that you realise what was missing.
