Being in Hawaii, with the shortest flight covering 2,500 miles, the fact that Alaska awards miles on actual miles flown rather than dollars spent makes it a no-contest IMO. I’m eagerly waiting for AS to avail all the One World partners though. Unfortunately that’s significantly lacking.

Great stuff. How long can the stopover be on the open jaw Alaskan flights?
Does the variability in AA awards pricing change by the hour or day or even with different browsers? Ty!

In terms of earning points with subs, you can churn AS cards quite frequently but AA cards only once in 4 years. So it makes their earning potential quite comparable actually.

Other than Etihad I don't use AA for partner anymore. For 10-15k more pts I would rather use chase/amex and others transferred to avios for Qatar

What’s more valuable, 2x Alaska Airlines or 3x Chase UR? It seems like Alaska has a better earning business card than American - broader categories.

Dinging AA for a potential partner devaluation seems too speculative to me. All programs devalue at some point. You should just compare the programs as they currently are unless you have actual info that an AA partner devaluation is incoming.

I love your guys show...but the joke about AA is the worst joke that I have heard in at least a year. Maybe in my entire lifetime. SHAME!
