I use an Overdrive (budget Tube Screamer-clone) as boost in front of the amp and an equalizer in the loop and the tone is fantastic now, no need of an expensive mod. sound nearly like the supercharge mod of Jens Kruse, of course the Kruse mod is much more professionell alone because of the Fender cleans on the clean-channel and the Marshall sound of the crunch-channel. But you can get a boutique tone out of the lead-channel below 100 bucks!

There is a really bad low frequency coming through that sounds like a bass is playing behind you. I am guessing you are not mic'ing the amp this time and using your video recorders mic?
That’s how I mic all my “In the Room” videos with a RØDE shotgun condenser. This is a new cab with cheaper Celestions kinda has a harsher low end but not terrible just more scooped. Probably swapping for some vintage 30’s next! Thank you for watching much appreciated. 🤘
Shit man,when you reviewed the Diezel mini it sounded perfect. I bought one from that video and it lived up to your review using a V30. I think the speakers in that Randall cab are not on par then. Thank you for showing what is available and doing it in the most tasteful of manners possible. I try to use as few pedals possible in my rig to shine. The pedal in this video is definitely not needed in my setup. Looking forward to your future videos.

I see you have both the randall 20h and the peavy 6505 mh. I'm currently in market for my first tube amp head. A video of them both against each other would be awesome. Which would you pick for drop tunings?
I’d actually recommend either of them! I play in drop C# or drop Bb so if you want a brighter amp with lots of tight low end go Peavey 6505MH it’s definitely got lots of aggression! The Randall is one of my personal favorites as well, however it’s a darker tone with warmer vibes similar to a dual rectifier so it performs best with a high gain boost or an overdrive and has a mean snarl in the midrange that I just love too! Hope that helps. 🤘
