  • Welcome to Episode 4 of The Metacast Music Dudes!
    The Metacast Music Dudes is a monthly show where four friends get together and share music with one another. In each episode one person will introduce a musician or band they are a fan of but feel the rest of the group may have either overlooked. After presenting three songs to the group the other members will vote if they want to hear an ENCORE or if they have heard enough!

    Also heads up, Igorrr made a song called Chicken Sonata in which his chicken plays the piano. More specifically, his chicken played the piano and then he built an entire song around it. I'm not even joking, This is a real thing that happened.

      The chicken's name is Patrick. RIP!

      By the way, your french pronunciation is very acceptable for someone who (I assume) doesn't speak the language...
      That aside, your facts are all correct.

    It's important to note that while every album is very different from the last, the tracks within an album always follow a certain style. Even in the most out there of albums like Savage Sinusoid, you can tell what the direction and "guidelines" (if you can call them that) were and every track of the album fits together thematically.

    if you like their vocals then ieuD, tout petit moineau (live version for Laure's awesomeness) and downgrade desert are also really amazing!
    With their other bands corpo mente, RÏCÏNN and ÖXXÖ XÖÖX they have some stunningly beautiful vocals and sound design as well, that is less metal heavy but just as creative and beautiful.

    The dude behind igorrr is a musical genius. I love everything he does. Cheval and ieuD are absolute bangers of songs. Such heart in ieuD.
    Fun fact. The name igorrr also comes from his pet gerbil/hamster as a kid.

    You guys might want to check out Corpo-Mente, it's a more accessible project of Serre's where you get to hear more of Le Prunenec's vocals. Also Clown Core if you like bizarro jazz.

    • @maxmustsleep
      @maxmustsleep 3 года назад +1

      it's so funny and great that people automatically recommend igorrr or clown core if either of them are shown :D
      they are both very unique and i wouldn't expect to see them in the same corner but the comments never disappoint

    HOW was Tout Petit Moineau not one of the songs you showed them?! Dude you've gotta give them some decent exposure to Laure's voice and the incredible range she has, and that song perfectly encapsulates why she's such an integral part of Igorrr!

    • @TylaTV
      @TylaTV  3 года назад +4

      I can't answer for Distance, but I know narrowing the choices down to only 3 or 4 tracks is REALLY tough. I do agree though, Tout P3etit Moineau is a great song!

    Spirituality and Distortions opening is so dope, I'm surprised you didn't go with it, but I get that it's pretty tame as a track. Same goes for Parpaing

    • @distancetalksalot
      @distancetalksalot 3 года назад +1

      I love the entire Spirituality and Distortion album. Downgrade Desert is one of my favorites on there. I do agree that for Igorrr that is pretty tame. I also thought about Parpaing because I love Cannibal Corpse, but it’s a pretty standard death metal song. I had to bring the crazy sh*t to mess with my friends. Which seems to have backfired because they loved it. lol.

    Shout-out for Igorrr! RIP Patrick! Legend! Check out Chicken Sonata!!!
    Shout-out for Rubber Johnny!
    What you remember isn't a meme video btw, it was the official video for the namesake Aphex Twin track by Chris Cunningham.
    Edit: if you want to hear more of Laure Prunenec's vocal range, I strongly suggest listening to Corpo Mente songs. They have some great studio session recordings on youtube. "Ort" and "Arselain" are decent rabbit holes, I would say. Enjoy!

    Igorrr also toured alone with his Album Nostril.
    I saw him at "Maschinenfest", which was more a Rhythm and Noise / Industrial Festival in Germany.
    I loved his performance, bought the Album and think "Excessive Funeral" is still his best track.
