This is a neighborhood in San Antonio, Texas where my Father grew up called "The West Village". Pete my father is having reflections of his childhood which he took a very high interest in music with his community.

1951-1964 The year I was born and the year I left San Antonio to L.A. As a child I use to live in the Alazan Courts at 813 S, San Marcos between Guadalupe and El Paso Street in 1958. Went to J.T. Breckenridge Elementery. I remember going to the Guadalupe theatre on weekends. They would show 2 or 3 movies and one in spanish. Just like today there were alot of gangs.
