1:51 When u cant find the next track 😂
LOL!!!!
LMAO.... 😂 😂 😂
😂😂😂
You're such a legend Andrew. You give unconditionally! Love it.
Your timing is impeccable. Just startet working and im planing on getting a new sound system with my newly saved money.
And keep it up! I love your Videos and your
contagious joy.
I am glad you suggested the KRKs because that's what I want for my home. Thank you.
i just purchase an Electro-Voice Evolve 50 column PA system just one in my place is enough to blow the roof off and keep the neighbours tea cups rattling down the stair walk. seriously impressive set of kit. extremely happy. the second one will work perfect for my first small outdoor mini festival
so helpful man! Binged your videos and learnt more in a week than I ever have before :)
Just as I’m looking at buying new speakers! Your videos are the best man, keep up the good work.
I have DM-40 in my home studio. It does look small, but when you hear the sound of it, it takes you away!! I play it only with the half volume up, cause I tried to go higher and put 3/4 of the whole volume and after few minutes I was hearing knocking to my doors from the neighbours :DD
Nice one the hole Weekend i spend searching in the Web for Monitor test and i will buy a pair today and now i have another insight. Thanks a lot.
Good point around the Behringer - I have the B112D for a similar purpose when the DM40s are too small for playing out at small house parties. But only got it on a display stock deal at 30-40% off. JBL, RCF, Mackie and QSC seem to get the best wraps on most groups I am on.
I recently purchased the pioneer sdj 80x after 15 years away from DJing.Absolutely love them. Using them for the home. Really good sound quality and packs plenty of punch. Thanks for the content, enjoying your videos 👍🏻
So these do the job for house parties?
@@cipher8851 Yes. There not super loud but the quality is really good. Good bass and highs.
QSC 8.2 - 12.2 are a phenomenal speaker range. The 8.2's can even be used for parties and home monitors. A little pricey but the sound is so worth it.
Recently purchased the KRK 7 & wow just amazing sound!
I recently bought a pair of Electro Voice ZLX 15p and these are completely amazing for the price as well, 100% recommend those from my experience
I started with the DM-40 and they are truly a great value for the money. Still I got the S-DJ60X later, which I love. The crisp sound and strong bass at both lower and high volumes...
I experienced playing outdoor and attended several outdoor events equipped with DB Technologies 2 x PAs, 2x subs and 2x monitors... Simply amazing, the subs were ripping my guts... Although I have no precise idea about the model or price of the outdoor set. I think it is about 10k €.
I use pioneer dj speakers and they work perfectly great video
Old school jamo d365 these are old but still kick arse. I've had mine for 20 years and still sound great and the bass punch is awesome I use these for everything no subwoofers needed
I’ve got the Logitech z623 speakers and they work a treat, and with the subwoofer being included I get plenty of bass.
I'd also recommend the Yamaha HS series for home monitors!
This is extremely helpful thank you heaps !
I do mobile gigs and have used alto ts215 for about a year now with no problem, got a new pair for $400 so it was a steal.
Im using my bose companion 50 with a dedicated bass module! They rock pretty hard for a medium party and act as my home theatre too! For under 400$ I think it’s the best combo for someone how does only small to medium house parties! I’ve never pushed it to his max
taken 2 days off work to watch your vids, spending time on my controller, learning so much tx, would be great to see hyperlinks of your courses and stuff at bottom of vids as only has website on some but no hyperlinks of fb page etc. tx again, as u make it very easy to understand
Machie thump 15” are my go too for small events
Too stuff dude! Thanks for the help
rcf is really good brand, i have one that is 20+ years old rcf speaker i was using it everyday for a years for home djing, and it still work so xdd
I use Jbl Partybox 100 for Djing and partys maybe not the best precise sound but the bass is amazing
Yahama HS7s when mixing alone. And a pair of the box pro DSP 110 when having house parties. Very, very happy with both pairs. A sub would be nice, but then my neighbours would definitely come knocking.
I have got the KRK rokit 5 for home and it is sublime. Despite having a mildly neighbour-free environment (for central London) I barely use them at 25% of their maximum volume. And if for some events, you want this chest feeling, just pump up the subwoofer.
How is it the bass of the KRK 5? I used to have the pioneer M40 and they be on t have much of a bass reason why I don t really like them. Thanks !
thats is a home skeaker no?
I have some the 5s and yep they kick ass but I'd be scared to bring em on the road and blow em.
I normally use some rockvilles and altos, a combination of passive and active powered boxes all 8s and 10s for the tops with a 12sub the rockville gbr12000series
I been using the Presonus Air 15" with 18m" subs and they work and sound great.
Just bought a pair of mk4 Art-315a’s 2nd hand but like new, stands and covers for £440 for the pair - yep they are loud, especially in my front living room!
Hey Andrew, as far as what I use with the advice of a friend many years ago.
One pair of RCF ART II - 312
One pair of RCF 705 AS II Subs
For Additional Bass a Behringer VA1800D
For DJ monitors KRK Rokit 5’s
All have performed well at reasonable use for at least for the past 7 years.
I’ll also add that this combination shakes our house when the wife is not at home.
Thanks for giving sound advice to people looking for honest answers.
It’s always a pleasure to watch your videos over here in the states. 🔉🔉🔉🔉
I'm trying to figure out what two two-way speaker 2 toppers I could pair with 2 subs that would sound good and almost kind of a Hi-Fi sound possibly lol. I would also like to get a monitor for the DJ booth. I kind of want to budget but I need a sound system that is versatile in a small venue or a large venue. A multi-purpose sound system. Even if the recommendations are kinda expensive I would like to hear your input. Maybe a poor man set up or a middle of the road set up. Thanks
Did you get set up?
If poor-man's set up, then 2nd hand good quality, and listen before buying
Awesome video!! Thank you!! Curious to know your thoughts about using Soundboks speakers for events??
For anyone needing home monitors I bought the m audio bx5 d3 with stands for £200 and they are brilliant worth a look if you on a budget.
Thank u for this
Legend!! sending regards from Spain! Love your vibe and kind generous soul!! I had a blast in Sydney and I enjoy so much your approach of DJing and teaching.
Thanks so much Carla, I have now moved up closer to Byron Bay - let me know if you are ever back in Australia!!!
@@ClubReadyDJSchool Oh that’s amazing!! I loved Byron!🖤 Well I’m not really into the jab so it will take some time for me to go back but I’m seriously waiting for it to happen! Big 🤗
@@ClubReadyDJSchool Oh btw, I’m living in Alicante! In the Mediterranean coast just in front of Ibiza :)
So if you come let me know!
I got the JBL partybox 710 and they are great for college house parties
I've been using Studio monitors Mackie 6inch for 4 years now and the sound is clean and got some punch but If I had to recommend or buy new speakers i think would go for the BOSE L1 Portable PA you can use at home and for party up to 100 people, easy to carry and the sound quality is unbelievable!! Check them out
Cheers
THIS CAME AT A PERFECT TIME! I'm literally in the process of getting at least 1 DJ speaker but not sure exactly what to get. I've been using my studio monitors but they don't have enough low end and I basically can't use my computer since the speakers are being used for the DJ setup - need a dedicated DJ speaker.. probably only one for now since I live in an apartment complex that I need to get out of ASAP.
I have used the Electro voice Zlx-12p for some events and the sound Is really good. And if you add a sub you have a serious sound system.
i currently use a fake JBL bluetooth speaker for my bedroom DJing but I’m looking to upgrade to some studio monitors and this video helped me a lot... thanks :)
M P Hvala sefe za savjet za monitore.... iz zagreba sam, a sto se partyja tice slabo dok je korona jos😢
🎉 100000 🍾 Congrats Mate !
Focal Alpha 65 out done the Krks when i was buying my speakers
i like qsc k12,2 and a qsc kw181 or qsc k8,2 can be used as a bedroom and you can add the subwoofer ,thanks for your advice ,
I use the kf850 eaw speaker it's a speakers the will do it all love them eaw is great
I use dsx 115(from the box pro).I dont have the money for rcf (Qq),but the box pro is very good for the money.
Under 200$ the best speakers on the market atm are the Tanoy Gold7 and the Presonus Eris! Not talking just about the great sound quality they have, but the construction and all the tunning features and line IN´s to plug other devices.
Nice video
Bought ave fusions and had problems instantly so had to send them back
Hey Andrew, what're your thoughts about pairing like a 10 inch sub with one of those pairs of bookshelf speakers?
Very happy with the Kali Audio LP6. Got the pair for 260€ and they sound great.
I play techno and the bass + response is very good, also mids are clear and highs don't sound harsh.
There is a typical D amp hiss, but it doesn't matter much if you don't produce/master very quiet music.
Also big sweet spot & alot of EQ options for different placements.
Room acoustics & placement matter alot, just in case. Get some foam pads, stands or whatever.
Comparing monitors in a store is a good advice, but you might still end up with a different sound in your room.
Can't go wrong with the usual suspects JBL 306, Rokit 7, Mackie MR624, Presonus E5 XT, Focal Alpha 65.
Adam T7V & Yamaha HS 7 sound too bright for my taste (I know people love both of these).
If you're tight on budget - I've heard the Hercules Monitor 5 are very good for their price!
Yess I got the kali lp 6 too. Loving them and I still need foam pads and to eq them for my room In spefic and further acoustics. Got a sub too and it booms
Best DJ teacher hands down
I appreciate this, thank you!
I’ve got KRK rokit 7s for DJing and producing and they work a treat
I’m wanting to buy them myself for the same reason , I was thinking 7 or 8 for mini house party’s of 15/20 people maybe 30 the odd time would the 7s be ok too use ?
Daire Mcguigan 7s would be fine, I have these in my room and the bass literally makes my whole house boom 😂
These were the comments I was looking for lol
I've had a Bose Companion Series 5 Multimedia System for close to a decade that have primarily been used as computer speakers. The system comes with 2 satellite speakers and a sub woofer, and for an older system, they still sound great in my opinion. Is it worth upgrading if all I'm using them for are personal use and small parties? Or does anyone have an experience/feedback with Bose systems and their DJ gear?
I use Logitech Z-906 at home. And i just bought 2 x JBL 310 BT speakers. They are to loud to be used at home, but i bought them at sale for private partys and i might rent a room for Djing. Lets se what the futures bring out of me. I might upload a video on here soon just for fun 😂 (new to the game)
I got qsc. But I will say rcf is definitely for dj that loves bass
After soo much high end Studio and Hifi speakers i am finally Happy with a pair of SP Acoustics SP1MA for mixing/mastering my Techno music and Graham Audio LS 5/5 If i need some more relaxation.
Good choice!
I have just bought some KRK G4 7" for home. Just have to wait for them to come in.
Good choice :)
I have a pair of krk rokit 5 in my bedroom and yesterday i play my first party, but for that I bought a pair of jbl eon 615
But my advice for first time buyers like myself, go to the store to try some different speakers
I had a budget of $1000 bucks, and surprisingly i had many options on the store with the price range of $500 a piece
The 615 in my opinion was the one that had an more clear sound and also a really good bass
Witch was a must have for me that plays techno
I’ll will be doing some upgrade in the future with maybe one more speaker and a subwoofer
But that’s in the future
For now I already know that just a pair of the eon 615 does the job just fine...
JBL 306 or 308 for some great priced awesome sounding Home Speakers.
They sound great not only for Thumping Electronic music but they create a great sound stage to boot so throwing on some Dark Side and kicking back they easily create that other world where you forget about the speakers even being there.
If you wan't to fill more than a House with sound though look elsewhere as they are not super loud.
bigger ranges. Funktion Ones baby ;)
Thanks man pioneer sdj50x it is 🙏 that was easy 😅
What's your thoughts on the numark mixtrack pro 3 ?
I cannot play so loud so i went for krk rockit 5´s they sound great.
I have them too...it sounds amazing
I have the same. Superb sound
Home monitors: ADAM T5V. Used presonus before this, but the Adam's are a step up for sure!! I like them v much.
ADAM's are fantastic speakers, i own a pair of A77X's, they make even low Bitrate RUclips sound Holographic.
@@bigdaz7272 I got the A77X’s too, love them but I put them a few meters away from me because they blow out so much wind that I’m scared that I’m getting a cold 😂😂. And I’m gonna buy a sub for some more punch. (Playing techno)
@@RC75 Sub for more punch? Damn dude i knocked -3db off the Low End Trim cause they Punch like a Mofo :)
Sound depends a great deal on your space and where you tend to listen from most of the time.
For me the Center of the Room has less Base but i can alter this simply by how Far my Speakers are from a wall they sit along or how close they are to the corners.
Even altering the inclination of the the Speaker by a few Degrees can effect the sound a lot for example sit a spirit level on them and raise the front so the 'bubbe' is just touching the line. Or try the reverse ect.
More Wubs? I can get behind getting a Sub for more Wubs. You can never have too many Wubs xD
@@bigdaz7272 More punch is the wrong word, just some more bass at a lower volume and when I play louder I wan’t to feel it in my body. I am a old guy (45), it’s what keeps me alive 😂😂😂
@@RC75 I hear you man, older guy too. There new 15 inch Sub looks sweet but Two and Half Grand not sure i can justify that one to myself :)
I have old-school pioneer speakers and mid range soltons hooked up to pioneer AMP.. for now nobody was complaining but we know this year it's a bad season for partying...
Which Pioneer do u have? May look to get the same.
Hands down Yamaha HS8 for studio. Nothing against KRK but my preference...HS8
Can't go wrong with Rokits
I use one KRK rockit5 for my bedroom and it’s good for the Drum & Bass 💀
can you connect these speakers to say a TV unit? if so what would you recommend for home use budget is $1000 - 2000. cheers mate
p.s mostly uses for EDM
Anyone knows the equipment he’s using in the video? looks pretty slick
I use the jbl clip 2 😭😭 i'm broke... 😂😂
What type of USB are you using?
I use Mackie BST and a mackie 18 s Sub
2 JBL EON615 or 2 Atlto Truesonic TS215 $400 per speaker or less great sound on a budget.
whats ur views on the mackie speakers specially the THUMP 212 and 215(XT)? planning to get 2 of them and looking for loud, clear and nice bass. i dont use SUB and i Dj mostly for families i.e around 100 pax max.
See I’m trying to blast absolutely blast dub step so what would you recommend for that?
RCF's!!! and a SUB!!!!
I've got presonus ERIS E8. great for bigger rooms (>30 square meters) and little house parties. They are very clear and really nice for Djing :)
For Home use: M-audio & Yamaha are really good also but the Yam are expensive...
I had Yamaha Stagepas for a while that also had the integrated mixing board, good for small bars etc. But yeah - definitely expensive.
Hey Andrew will the sound card in the pioneer 400 controller work well with RCF speakers ?
Reasonably well, but depends how hard you want to push it - it'll hold for a small house party but maybe not to good if you are also pushing the RCF's super loud. The DDJ1000 on the other hand - wow!!!!!!!
not taking away anything from what you've said Andrew but speakers, studio wise at least, is a personal choice for trained ears. those who's ears are not trained it matters little. people choose speakers to how coloured (bass heavy and high bright) they are cause untrained ear prefers coloured to natural sound. natural is boring to say the least. who remembers talking to their grandfather and slowly falling asleep hearing his history stories? natural sound does that, coloured sound doesn't, coloured sound excites the body/stimulates the senses/fatigues the ears.
Best sound set up for 100 people?
What do you think to add a subwoofer? I got a pair of krk 5 g4 and im not really impressed about low frequency. Do you think is a good idea? And which sub i should to look for? I djing in my room and then I'm going to the production.
100% this sounds wicked
I got the krk 10" sub and I use that at a house party it was shaking the room
What's better mixing with EQ or Isolator?
I may do a whole video on this and break it down as I have been asked about this a lot - both have their time and place but generally I like mixing with EQ.
Just get 2 BOSE S1 Pro and you are ready to go.
Update (July 2023): I sold my 2 Bose S1 and bought 2 RCF 708 and a Bose Sub. Think I just fund my holly grial.
Kali Audio with their 12" sub!
oooo yeah!!!!
Got some Kali LP6s and they're great!
+1 for the RCF‘s being amazing. My local Rave collective switched from rented Art 745s to buying some Yamahas and it‘s a massive downgrade😅 The RCF‘s have this low distortion in the highs approaching Funktion One levels that is just sex for your ears
I'm thinking of upgrading to KRK Rokits but I noticed they don't have an RCA input, only XLR inputs. My DDJ 400 only has an RCA output does that rule out the Rokits for me?
Would appreciate any help with this , thanks
I am pretty sure you could buy online RCA to XLR cables just google RCA to XLR and see what comes up :)
@@ClubReadyDJSchool thank you! I'll look into that
Do you guys get Yorkvilles in Australia? They are a Canadian speaker company. They specialize in pro sound and live PA. For their price range they pound.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yorkville_Sound
Pair the KRK with their subwoofer, and you'll get shit pumping for sure.
Hey :))
i have a chance to get a pair of RCF art 310a´s for 400$
do you think that they are loud enough for a party for up to 100 people?
100%
Siri Yamaha in a cave audio, so Wolfer pumps
1:50 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
What RCF do you have? May look to get the same.
RCF 325A :)
1:34 whats that ddj?
Looks like the XDJR1 - first of it's kind that read USB but visuals are terrible - you'd be better off with a DDJ800 or if you can afford it the XDJRX2 or even most of the Denon gear.
House party for max 50 people, what do I get!?
You can't go wrong with RCF315A otherwise Pioneer SDJ80X
Adam Audio....
no sound demo?
