Oh fucking hell, this game.
This was my childhood.
For some reason, the screen when you turned off the game used to make me cry. I have no fucking idea why.
I loved the dark imagery in these picture games.
Ho I was scared by the puzzles but I played with them!
they made me really uncomfortable
Of course the puzzles were scary!!!! I mean, at this time in the 90s The pc games begin to appear by educations pc like Zombinies, Mia the mouse or Adibou by Playtoon or sierra (I'm french canadian but I don't know how they're called in english.) So in the 90s we didn't know how to create such games for kids (Without use violence scenes). For the puzzles with the kids and the old grandpa: They cames from the pc game story by pc "Uncle Archibald" By the same company playtoon. It's a story about two boys in the house of "uncle Archibald" in a wednesday afternoon in May. Uncle Archibald is somehow a searcher about the magic and the imagination with science and work in a shop in the same street of this house but at the edge of "Street of sauls". Inside we can found many strange creature like psychedelics monsters like into your imagination or your dreams. Meanwhile in the story Benoît and his friend (The narrator) have decide to play "Chemistry". Before playing Benoît show to the narrator the many creations in the stories of his uncle about monsters, mages et sorcerer. (Monsters very scary for a kid) One of his story is talking about a ogre call "Ogre Fragall". Later in the evening when the star and moon appear, the two boys playing to chemistry with all the stuff in the house without looking the notices on the ingredients or the bottle. Benoît use a green bottle and put the mixture inside their potion and suddenly, everything begins to be creepy: The boys run to the stair and see in their bedroom a strange and scary mist go everywhere with crys like in a nightmare. Just after this show, all the light run out. So the boys go to the kitchen but. (SURPRISE) They discovered the ogre Fragall alive like in the story alive! The monster is searching the "Chocolate sauce" (Because in the storie he eating the childrens with it, creepy isn't?) Bt when he found it and saying "Lunch time!" the narrator have just time to use his water pistol just like in the story who saying that monster can be defeat by water! But when the monster disapear, the kids are speechless because if this monster was here, so the other monsters from the stories are inside the house! They call the uncle in urgency but he saying he will be home in 5 minutes. Meanwhile the kids are scared and have been caught by the other creations of the uncle ready to be cook or go through the worse ending unbelievable. But right on time. Uncle Archibald appear and talk to the monster like a commander or parent. He claim to them to go back where they came from or else he put them everybody in a love story with 100 percent of care and love. So the monsters disapear. The uncle ask to his nephew if he didn't use in his experiences a green bottle. Benoît didn't speak and stay quiet and say yes by move his head. Uncle Archibald explain that mixture can be use to make appear all the fiction and imaginary character alive in the reality. Since what, Archibald was searching for many year the secret of the enchantement, but obviously, the boys found the solution in five minutes. The story end right here without a final cutscene. Now you know the storie. I old you the story because I don't know if the pc game existe today for everyone or even the children curious and fanatic about mystery tales and pc game in 2D. But well I'm happy to share my opinion and what the pc game is talking about! :) Have a nice surfing on the net!
Woah ! Thank you so much for telling us ! I've always wondered where these drawing came from. It's was so creepy btw, I used to play feeling uncomfortable and scared, now it's even worse ! :)
I remember you eventually can get different monster traps outside for the villain...but I cannot for the life of me remember how it happens or how you get them.
Do you have a version where you don’t sing over it and ruin it? 😂

@Remolay Kind of makes me wonder what the other Adiboo games and that TV show (Adiboo Adventure Mission Earth) were like.

@mrnutt I have it in my computer too and I just giggle manicaly while they beat the crap out of each other. XDD
after watching this playthrough i just noticed one of the characters looks kinda weird.
I've noticed this company likes to reuse things. It gets worse with Adi since they've stuck stuck whole games on (like Gobliiins and Goblins 3).
Is there a download for this game? How did you play it?
You can find a copy of it on the Internet Archive. As for when I did this video, I had an old copy lying around. Mind you, you'll need a Windows 98 VM to get this to work.
