Yes!! Please have a segment on places locals frequent so we can get the full immersive experience! Even if it is not tourist-friendly or have English menus, it is so awesome seeing local places get featured!
Personally, I really appreciated learning about the yakitori place tucked in the shotengai, even if it's not very tourist-friendly. Great prices, great food, and the character is 100% pure. If there's at least one little segment in the videos that is clearly aimed at locals, I feel like that helps entice people to reach outside of their comfort zone, and really relish authenticity. Thanks, Paolo! ^‿^
Tokyo is my favorite city in Japan and I would even say the world. Kamakura has my heart though 💓!! I love Kamakura so much and it would be one of the places I would want to live most in Japan and even the world. I just love how it doesn't feel like an overwhelming city but has a lot to do and it's not far from Tokyo. And I absolutely love walking and running through Kamakura before the sun rises. I really love Kamakura. When I went to Japan, I didn't expect much but it caught me off guard and made me fall in love.
I did no research before I went to Japan, I ended up in Kamakura bc I wanted to see the big Buddha and I didn’t want to leave!! It was so charming! I had the same sentiments!
First Nikko now Kamakura, it's like you're ticking off my itinerary for my December - January trip! And I love that you hit up some little known spots that we normally wouldn't see. Everyone does the English friendly tourist traps, which is what makes your videos stand out.
Thanks for adding the detail in your description. I remembered watching your video and I was in kamakura having breakfast and was able to put together an itinerary really quickly over breakfast without having to rewatch
Thanks for the video. I watched several videos re. Kamakura already to get ready for our upcoming trip, but I appreciate the mentions of local places and other places that are not mentioned by everyone else. I also appreciate that your content is direct and cuts to the chase. Thanks!
Rented an electric bike from Bike Rental for an hour to Hokokuji (15 min ride from Kamakura town). Got carried away with photo though the bamboo shrub isn't really large...returned the bike 5min late but the boss was OK. No extra charge...phewThanks Paolo for the recommend.
Paolo! i just got back from an amazing 11 day trip to Japan (tokyo, osaka, kyoto, himeji, hakone)....I wanna go back already. Your tips helped a lot. thank you :)
I really like how you show the place you go to through a map, very informative and gives me a perspective/idea how close/far are the places you mention in a certain area..
When my friend and I went here last summer, we caught the fireworks festival. There was so many people but I enjoyed Kamakura a lot! Loved the spots you mentioned, Paolo! You always offer something new and interesting with your recommendations. Gonna add those to my to-visit list next time I'm in Kamakura. ❤️
Maher A we went there around mid-July. You'll have to check online on when it'll be next year. Hope you get to watch it! It was pretty crowded but it was definitely a memorable experience to watch the fireworks by the Yuigahama beach.
More day trips from Tokyo and other major cities would be nice. When I find myself in Japan I usually stick to major cities as my Japanese is minimal. Thanks for the great informative videos.
Love the kamakura video, awesome job plus do more local dinning along with places and things to do outside of Tokyo, plus some hidden jem's as well if you think it will appeal to the audience.
0:22 Hi Maiko's shadow! :) Kamakura is one of my favorite and must go to places, I have lost track of how many times I gone there. I can recommend everyone to take the Enoden train line along the coast and visit the cities along that line, they are a treat as well and have lots of things to see.
Hey Paolo, thanks for your videos. Yours and a few others have made my current trip easier. I am thoroughly enjoying my trip...so much so, that I’m considering relocating. Lol but for real.
Awesome vid Pao! I was wondering actually when you were going to feature kamakura! Scooter looks cool btw 😎 And thanks for letting us know about the slam dunk thing! *hugggg*
Enjoyed your video, and you've definitely shown different places from other videos I've seen, on Kamakura. I personally prefer the traditional Japan, with its historic towns, houses, and shops, rather than the modern boutiques and stores. Arigatou gozaimasu 😀
I plan on being in Japan in March, next year. Definitely going to stop in Kamakura to experience temples and the bamboo garden, for sure. I would not mind any street food and local restaurants videos as they would add to anyone's knowledge of whats all to do in Kamakura. Thanks for the tour and Zoom has some nice looking scooters.
Very nice videos! I liked this one because you showed vegan meal in the bar (miso cucamber). It is very nice to see vegan opsions to order in a regular bar.
Anywhere homie! Every vid you post is a wealth of information. My girlfriend and I will be staying in tokyo in march 2019. We've been watching a ton of these vids. We'll be there from March 19th thru the 20th. We've always said that it would be cool to bump into any of the vloggers we subscribe to. If we see you, I hope you don't mind if we say hello or maybe buy you a beer or 2. Keep them coming sir.
Love this video! Will definitely visit Komachi dori next time we go to Kamakura. We visited in May, rented bikes at that exact same place and our first stop was also Hokoku-ji! ^^
I love seeing more unique local restaurants, even if communication may be a little more difficult haha. There are certain aspects of food and atmosphere that you can only really get by going out of your comfort zone and leaving the other tourists behind.
Hey Paolo, gonna tell you that Tokyo has the best place that they're so much to do here, I've should go there and check it out for myself! Good one, man! 😉👍
