He's certainly the poster boy for the quality of the childrearing in Silicon Valley. I was born and raised there and worked for a few startups and left quickly due to the greed factor. The fruit trees were replaced by extreme permissiveness and parents are then shocked when the kids get caught and have to deal with the consequences of their lovely children's poor choices.

Just the thought that your parents (and other relatives) will likely be dead when you get out of prison. That’s punishing for anyone to think of if they were in his position.
