I really hope that Top Thrill Dragster doesn't get torn down, but with all of the problems that ride has caused I'm pretty sure that it won't open back up, or if it does, it WILL get torn down if it creates any more issues. I could also see them trying to bring in more guests by having "Top Thrill Dragster's Last Season" or something like that.

To everyone who wants TTD reopened, you should leave feedback for Cedar Point about how important the ride is. I have. Let's get this ride reopened! Also some youtube videos say the Wicked Twister spot is for more restaurants (here's one: ruclips.net/video/7xkx6QdvhJ4/видео.html). Cedar Point needs some feedback to reopen TTD instead of removing two coasters in a row.

Too much money has been spent on a one trick pony ride that is no longer generating enough money to keep it. This asset is now a liability and needs to be removed permanently.

@@timothykaczmarek5871 I along with presumably thousands of others have literally shaken with anxious excitement as the TTD train slowly approaches the launch point, and I am someone who has been on many intense, 300+ foot-tall roller coasters. For the fact that it gives that level of excitement alone, since you seem to be hung up about operating costs, Cedar Point should treat the ride as a loss leader since it is one-of-a-kind (or two-of-a-kind anyway) and contributes to the park's world-class reputation. Let alone the surely thousands of times the ride has cycled without any kind of incident, leading me to believe that with improved regular maintenance and upkeep a ride which has been responsible for at most two (?) incidents in its almost twenty-year run should be left to operate to the benefit of the vast majority who still very much want to ride it.

In 2009, some part of the big helix gave a woman a brain injury and she was rushed to the hospital. Cedar Point really dropped the ball with their 150th anniversary. It just feels like they’re not making as grand of a celebration as they’re making it out to be. 150 years is a larger milestone than Kings Island’s 50th yet KI is having a more grand celebration, and that’s with Cedar Point taking two seasons for their 150th.

I do love how Cedar Fair is starting to focus on food. Aside from theming the one thing Disney has over any park is their food and and no other park is even close. Needing to eat is a bigger part of going to parks that people don’t always consider and it’s nice when you can have an actual decent meal and not just chicken tenders and fries, mediocre burgers, passable pizza, etc.

The thing that bothers me almost as much as Top Thrill Dragster that no one seems to talk about: The Frontiertown town hall/museum is STILL closed! I don't know how other people felt about it, but I loved that place! It was a nice big place to hang out in to keep out of the heat, cold, or rain, and there were so many cool park artifacts and pieces of Cedar Point history in there! Every amusement park needs some places where you can get away from the hustle and bustle and get absorbed in the little things. And Cedar Point of all places *definitely* needs all the indoor venues it can get (especially ones that aren't restaurants. new dark ride, anyone???)
Anyway, they had announced back in 2019 that they were gonna be renovating and overhauling the Frontiertown town hall, but probably due to COVID, those plans were stalled - and then seemingly scrapped. It annoys and saddens me that this longtime overlooked gem of Cedar Point is closed, with no indication it will ever come back.

Cedar fair keeps removing rides and replacing them with food stands and festival type events. Two good coasters at KI removed for one lame B&M similar to one that already have. If they do add a flat ride it’s just replacing it with something they used to have. KI antique cars, flying eagles or CP shoot the rapids just for examples. KI had awesome antique cars and CP had a flume. Shoot the rapids worked out well. I pay to go ride the rides not eat and buy junk at a decorated potable shed off the walkway. That’s fine remove Dragster. Magnum is 33 years old so was Vortex when they removed it. So will they remove Magnum and Dragster next year? It’s all about profits and for reasons I don’t understand people keep buying into it. I won’t spend that kind of money and time to go eat at their new food stand. I go to the parks to ride rollercoasters.

I think what has happened with Top Thrill Dragster is that there is a lawsuit going on or concluded. Cedar Fair/Cedar Point probably had to sign a nondisclosure agreement for 1 year to remove Top Thrill Dragster from everything. Keep it closed, no trains on the track and no merchandise. It should re open and the merchandise should return in 2023. I use to work at a extreme indoor sports park with trampolines and there was an accident on one of the attractions. Our company had to sign one of those nondisclosure agreements to keep that attraction shut down. There were 2 requirements. Order the necessary equipment and have it shut down for 1 year before reopening it.

Cedar Point staff needs to realize that Top Thrill Dragster is extremely important to the park and it is loved by many people. There’s no reason why they can’t use this whole season and next offseason to modify the whole ride so no accidents happen ever again. There are people who like to insult it and joke about it because of all the “misery” it’s caused them and Cedar Point. They’re just mad because they never get to ride it because of it frequently getting delayed for maintenance. Well, every coaster needs to be maintained. I don’t care if it gets delayed frequently. It’s my favorite coaster at Cedar Point and of all time. I feel like the park is only using last year’s freak accident as an excuse to tear it down. That’s completely unacceptable. Accidents happen and that most certainly does not mean the whole ride should be taken down. Not every ride must so reliable to the point where it never goes down. Cedar Point makes millions and millions of dollars, maybe even billions. I’ll be depressed and heartbroken if they do such a thing.
