It's fun to watch a model interact with the photographer in an intelligent way - Kaydence listens carefully to the technical photography things Daniel says and approves of his messages at the right moment.
What I like so much here on this channel is when Daniel explains and takes pictures, everything always looks so easy and everything is straight to the point without any fanfare, ok, with increasing personal experience and practice it's that too, that's all no "rocket science". In many cases that I see when using a single flash light, an additional reflector makes the result rather boring in terms of illumination, but of course that's just my personal taste.
Thank You Sir, I have watched several of your Video's, You're a fantastic Teacher. You are down to earth straight forward, and present in such a manner Amateur's like me can undertand, and then go practice in our small Home Studio's. Photography is a Hobby I adore, and even at age 83 having lost most of My Mobility can still enjoy taking Photos of My awesome Family, and many friends. Thank You, and Your Beautiful Model for all of Your time & work. And especially to You for imparting Your Knowledge, Talents, Skills.
I have been using a light/flash meter since 1987, I had to buy a new one with bigger numbers a few years ago. I still use it more for tricky situations than every days shots.Sometimes the Guess-O- Meter works well too!. Thanks Daniel and Kaydence 😎👍🇨🇦
Bravo! Grazie. Sei uno dei pochi Fotografi che seguo e sempre introduci concetti interessanti e mai banali. Lo fai perché ami la Fotografia e trasferisci il Tuo grande sapere a tutti e senza limitazioni. G R A Z I E!!!
Great video! I’m about to take a leap and buy my first studio lighting setup. I’ve been leaning towards the Profoto A2, but I see you are using the b10 (now b10x). I’ve seen a lot of photographers using the b10x. Can you share your opinion on the pros of it? Thanks
Great video Daniel, I generally point the meter towards the light. Great little tip that I’ve picked up using the meter in ambient mode to see what shutter speed you need to kill. Thank you
I’ve watched a lot of light meter tutorials, and this one is the most clearly explained. Question: I have a basic Sekonic. Is yours triggering the flash?
Also for product shooting I meter the the light from the flash and from camera position and use the average or middle reading of the two which works out well.
When I am setting up the sekonic L-858d-u with the new module for flash I think the best way to go is setting up White balance first and then setting up the light meter Next but we’re do I start to get a base line from the start how would you go about this I no I have to take 3 photos Either side three stops under and three stops over can you help me in this Project many thanks Mark
I’m primarily a headshot photographer and want to upgrade from a DSLR to a Canon R6. I use off camera flash for all my sessions. How will the R6, or mirrorless in general, affect my process? I’m worried about changing from optical to EVF.

I have been watching your videos for 6 or so years and you always show me something new. Today's was your 4th tip.Thank you Danial, all the best Dave

Helpful.
I'm really thankful for your videos on the Sekonic Light Meter. Just got one and now beginning to see the light so to speak.
It was very useful, Daniel. Now I know how to use it right. Thanks for the great tips.

I have had the L-858D-U on backorder since December of 2021 to replace my L-758D-U 😆
Those things are unicorns right now!
I’d be interested in tips for using a light meter with natural light please 😺
Great video!!! Would be great if you make a video using constant light!

Four tips, okay then I'm sticking around 👍😎
Love how the models pay attention and not along in the background! 😂

If taking multiple readings, which one do we choose, or, should we average?
Nice ty
The meter is influenced by all lights regardless of where you point it.
He’s using a remote trigger for lights, not light meter..
