My site got smashed in the September HCU. In hindsight, it totally deserved it. I had broken links, thin content, etc. Since then I have spent hundreds of hours fixing links, reducing image sizes, cutting thin content, adding original images, rewriting in first person etc etc. So far, a few days into this March update, I've lost an additional 10% of traffic! But let's see what happens. Fingers crossed.
It’s funny cos I’m following niche pursuit on Facebook and searching about the keyword Niche Pursuit pop up…I subscribed straight because I know it’s just a straight useful information ℹ️
My site looks like it was hit by this new update---a new low since I was very badly hit by the HCU even though I write original, people first content and I'm an expert in my field. Google traffic 35% down since March 2nd.
Thanks. I wish I had a clearer picture of what I should do. It's not motivating working on a website that has essentially been shunned by google search (and by shunned, I mean, pushed into the 2nd page on google vs always being in first results)@@NichePursuitsPodcast

My website got clapped day before yesterday, yesterday came back on the serps, today got clapped again. Tomorrow? Context-> No AI, No spam, No backlink building, got hit by oct 2022 spam update, but HCU miraculously recovered the traffic to old state but clapped by march update. INTERESTING. Your thoughts guys?
I hope Google does what it says. Parasite SEO has been happening for more than 5 yrs, and Google's algorithm is catching up to it only now? Same for expired domains. People have abused it for yrs and Google only took notice when they themselves came public about how they 'fooled' Google. I doubt Google has any foolproof way of catching 'unhelpful' AI content. SEOs will experiment, find a way to make it look 'helpful' to Google's algorithm, but the content will remain as unhelpful as ever to the public.

Good luck
At 10:40 you hit the nail exactly on the head!
my personal blog's traffic is down like 40% since March 7th-ish, no AI, personal site all written by me. No spam or 3rd party content obviously.
I'm 35% down, also with quality content. Not losing hope though quite yet. Hang in there!
Clear and understandable, I wish there was more information like this.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!

Maybe the two months notice is because they know their fix is not entirely effective, so hoping to FUD people into removing spammy content.

nothing, just google having some WeeeeeeD Party
@@roxxxxxy thats the best bet
Wow! Google DID say that this would be a very volatile update. So, you might just have to hang out for a few weeks to see where it finally settles.
Same thing happened to my site in the serps. Vanished, reappeared, vanished again.
Wild ride. All legit content

my site is still new so had not got out of the sandbox but in the last two days I have gone from 200-odd impressions per day down to zero
I love the neutral take from this show it's really refreshing.
We do our best!
I think they're looking to penalize the entire domain and not just the spammy pages -- otherwise there's no reason to give 2 months notice.
Reddit still going to be King 👑 haha
Crazy
Pfff, seo easy just have 30 y old site and a paragraph about atmosphere bs Done
