    Hi, groomers.
This is Jessie with Sharp Edges in Oklahoma. And today I wanted to talk about how do you prevent your clipper blades from getting rusty.
Now, it doesn't matter if you're a mobile groomer or an in shop groomer. You know where the location of your tub and your drying room.
Grooming environments are. Moist. There's a lot of moisture in grooming environments because of all the bathing it goes on.
And moisture, of course, is not the enemy or is the enemy of your clipper blades. You want to keep that moisture away from your clipper blades when you're storing them.
    Here are some good options.
One is a cardboard clipper blade box. It's a good place to store your blades overnight. The cardboard will absorb the moisture and keep it away from your clipper blades.
Another good option that I like is just take a towel and I use a product like H-42.
You can use WD 40. H-42 just happens to smell really nice. And I spray the towel down with it and then just lay that, if your blades are in a drawer, just lay this towel over them like this. That'll keep the moisture off of them.
Another good way to keep moisture away from your blades and shears is the gel silica packs, like when you get a new pill bottle or you buy a new item, there's always those little silica packs, those little white silica packs in there.
You can buy those off Amazon. You can buy packages of two or 300 of them.
You can take those and put them in the drawers where you store your blades and shears. And that'll also help cut down on the damage from moisture, keep the rust down anyways. I hope this helps.
    I hope this helps!
