I dont see other Leo specially Ruto do kbd he just stands straight staring at your soul sometimes, anticipating attacks. But, why not learn it, it's useful anyway, and looks cool.
KBD is necessary Vs certain match ups to avoid their plus frames or safe pressure. Then in other MUs KBD and SS can be really bad due to good lows or long reaching tracking atks that interrupt both KBD or SS. This is just my experience and I think it's something really great to learn and can be useful in many situations. Great videos as well
I can’t KBD with any consistency or KNK cancel, maybe it’s because I’m a pad user (Hori Octa) or I’m just old but I can’t do the motions. I’ve seen a lot of people say it’s not quite as essential for intermediate as it was for T7 but I’d still love that tool in my arsenal.
Single piece D-Pads are very hard to learn KBD on. There's so much room for error in using a thumb slide on a single piece of plastic. If you still have a Playstation controller in your house, try booting up Tekken and doing KBD with the 4 piece D-Pad. It's much easier. Same with wave-dashing and electrics.
@ I started with the PS5 pad but I found it harder roll qcf and hit diagonals consistently for some reason. It has been a long time (probably a few hundred hours) since I’ve gone back to it though, I’ll make sure to go into practice and try it again, see how it feels. Thanks for the advice.
In my opinion, it is for certain characters, while others dont need it. Alisa and Zafina have great backdashes, so you should learn it. Though I I would recommend at least trying to get used to the motion. KBD can create openings for whiff punishes so its a good tool to have at higher ranks.
@@tur7lebackpack153 it’s only worth it if you want to go for style points, there’s plenty of other/easier ways for wall carry routes so learning KNK cancels isn’t necessary.
2:59 what a crazy parry

dpad user here, kbd in my opinion is easy on dpad, I though do KNK cancels consistently only with good ping

@@Antoofthesand so true I never considered single piece dpads as suitable for fighting games
