Marie-Anne, I think the fact that you personally reply to comments speaks volumes about your level of elegance (and class)! Thanks for all the helpful tips!
All these classic pieces, worn well, highlight the woman rather than the piece. They serve as our quiet partner so we can look our best. As always, merci!
For the Nude heels... Florals are a demur way to chic it up in an instant! For the Denim... Pop of color like red shoes and a red purse automatically brings it to life! Loved the all black with the trench coat.. Very my style... And I'm 28, so its multi generational. Nice one Marie Anne 👏👏 Have never gravitated towards a pin stripe shirt before 🤔 I'd probably have paired it with a navy blue skirt and probably white Gianvito Rossi's. Nice ideas Marie Anne. Cheers!
@@MarieAnneLecoeur thanks Marie-Anne love learning from you about French Style. 1 out of 3 of my favorite designers are from france Oscar De La Renta and Elie Saab... My 3rd is Carolina Herrera
I love all these outfits. Classic pieces are a necessity and never boring when paired in an elegant way. Thank you for the inspiration. I absolutely adore your two tone ( spectators) pumps.
Marie-Anne, you have exquisite taste! I love all these outfits! You have this innate ability to make a simple shirt look fabulous! Thank you! You have inspired me to rethink the pieces in my closet.

I loved the first outfit first! The feminine soft look is my favorite, though actually the trench coat was also so beautiful! I also love what you are wearing to present this video. The black top with those black dangly earrings! So beautiful on you !! 😍💕💕💕💕
It’s snowing in Wisconsin today, so I am binge watching my favorite French Chic Expert for inspiration. Love seeing that you suggest wearing a leather motorcycle jacket with the little black dress (my favorite all-time outfit) but never thought to wear pearls with it. Love ❤️. Merci Marie-Anne!
Ahh Marie-Anne I absolutely love your videos and this particular one made me so happy, I have started to see my clothes and the way I dress in a whole different way and have started to add some additional pieces that will work with what I already have, thank you so much!!
Such an inspiring video again! Thanks to you Marie-Anne at the age of 48 I bought my first pair of snake print heels and I love them! They make every outfit look outstanding. That's why my favourite outfit will be number 4.
Hi Marie-Anne. I absolutely love all your clothing combination ideas of colours, textures and accessories. You always help me pick out my outfit of the day. Thank you very much. Also, just want to say that your little pet dog is adorable.
Yes, mixing casual and formal pieces are a great way to avoid boring outfits. I invest also in accessories: belts, jewelry, scarves which can also change the style of the classic, simple pieces....
Bonjour Marie-Anne!! All the outfits presented are so well curated! It shows how tres chic one can look when a little thought and effort goes into putting an outfit together!! Hope you had a lovely Christmas!!
I’m seeing a new hairdresser tomorrow to address my massively grown out pixie. I always dress for my haircut and you’ve given me my vibe for meeting my new guy! I love your videos!
I absolutly love your shoes in the first outfit. So elegant, but they stand out. And also the "nude" look. Nude colours together, is so classic but relaxing, at the same time.
Loved all of your outfits. Classic pieces are the foundation of a wardrobe and you are proving that when mixed well, they can look amazing! Nothing is more satisfying than watching one of your videos for inspiration and knowing most of the items are already in my wardrobe. Thank you Marie-Anne!
Marie-Anne, first I want to compliment you on your hair! Not sure if it’s a new cut for you or just combed differently but it is really classy and beautiful on you! … I love wearing jeans and it’s nice to see blouses and sweaters tucked (in all the outfits) instead of being oversized, not tucked and frumpy. I do like some long oversized tops worn with pants that are fitted, which balances our body’s shape. Thanks for sharing so many ideas!
I love a monochromatic look. I love a trench coat, too. I have three. Beige, red and teal. The teal has a zip out liner. I wear it mostly in the autumn. The moto jacket over the LBD is inspired. xo~linda
I’m currently wearing a plain cotton, but good quality black t-shirt with a pair of bootcut dark wash jeans, a velvet green blazer, and a small Dolce and Gabbana scarf around my neck. ❤️the 👀
I love those navy french button pants by Ralph Lauren. All these outfits are great. I never would have thought to put a leather jacket with a black dress. Great idea! Merci!
I loved the Ralph Lauren inspired outfit with the blue shirt over the turtleneck. I I’ve noticed that although every piece in a RL advert is a classic style, they layer and mix them in unexpected ways, like the brown belt you added. I really enjoyed this and would love another video like this one. Merci, Marie-Anne!
Marie-Anne, Classic pieces worn with “touch me” silk, cashmere, leather, fine wool, and pure cotton-you cannot miss. And those earrings are breathtaking on you.🥰
I love how you styled the LBD - I bought a used black leather moto jacket off of Vestiaire a couple of years ago and am finding it more and more useful to avoid boring looks.
You always have ways to perk up items that can be seen as sort of neutral! I love dark slim jeans and neat shoes or boots can liven things up a lot. I love my boots and have many colours! Red, blue, gold, green! Can really make a splash with jeans! The black dress! Some neat jewellery. Love the moto jacket with the LBD. Like you say there is no need to look frumpy or boring when just a little twist can make things more glam! Liked the hat.
Love all of them. That is the beauty of the classic style. These pieces can be dressed up or down with your accessories. Have a prosperous 2022 to you and your family.
Happy New Year to you, elegant Marie-Anne! Thank you for this narrative on how to make basic pieces look stunning with a little bit of effort. I love your Tiffany blue shoes with the jeans in the first section; they really elevate (no pun intended) the outfit. The blue sweater can add unwanted weight for most women, but you can carry it off with ease. The motorcycle jacket looks very chic with the black dress and pearls--more daring Big City Lady. I must admit: I was one of those who, in my youth, thought of basic, classic pieces as boring and old lady-ish. Now that I am 64, I have completely changed my mind and adore, adore, adore classic pieces. My entire wardrobe reflects this change. Thank you for helping us along this journey toward elegance and refinement. Natalia Arizona
Bon soir Marie-Anne, uih not a single outfit is boring! But the trench coat outfit is so cool!!! Wow👍. And let me mention that your black earrings are beautiful. I have to watch this video twice. Bon nuit 💫
@@MarieAnneLecoeur Bonjour, yes I will😀 I always watch your videos at least twice. First I watch and for the second time I have a closer look onto the details, how you create your outfits.🙂 Have a nice day!
Genius! One of your best yet! This could easily be a highlighted feature in a top mainstream publication xx. I LOVE what you did with the 'nude' outfit. I'm not at all comfortable with the nude palette, but you made it vibrant. I love those little blue sandals in the first outfit too: I would never imagine that they could be so versatile, but seeing how they help transform a jeans look, I can see that items like this are a great addition to one's wardrobe. xx
You look stunning in this all black look with the statement earrings Marie-Anne 😍 that is a beautiful look to steal for the New Year! I love the cardigan tucked in like a sweater with the blouse underneath, and the basic shirt over a turtleneck. Details like that make a huge difference. I think our mind registers details even when we are not aware, and it is precisely the lack of any element that looks deliberate that makes an outfit seem "boring", because we sense the pieces were put together on default, without intention.
Your first, “boring” outfit shows the importance of tucking in tops. I didn’t think much could be unflattering on your perfect figure, but that long tee hanging down is. Great video.
Miss Lecoeur I enjoy your suggestions. I've donated the majority of my clothes, shoes & handbags with the exception of my vintage and classics that I intend to mix and match. Clothes REALLY DO say much about a woman and I intend to put my best foot forward eventho I'll be having knee surgery. ☺❄ I can wear my authentic wool beret from Paris. Again, Thank you.
Many good ideas. I like the nude and navy combination. The black dress/moto jacket pairing was surprising too. I like how you blend feminine and masculine pieces together. I also tried the scarf and turtleneck combination from your previous video. Black cashmere with a black-and-white floral scarf I already had. I found it worked very well for me.
Dear Marie-Anne, thank you for your inspiration, also for combining navy blue and black with your tan trench coat, love it, thanks to you I am now combining my wardrobe in a different way.Happy new year to you and your loved ones.Love from Germany.🌹
Loved all your transformations. The one in would most likely try is the first one with the lovely blue cardigan. I also have a trench coat (black) and receive compliments every time I wear it. Wonderful video.
I have reservations about tucking in that cardigan all round.I would LOVE unreservedly the outfit if the cardigan was cropped so your waist would avoid appearing thick.Otherwise I would be trying 1/2 tucked in and 1/2 out. That said compliments all round for the magic you work.
Hello Marie-Anne! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Loved all the looks. My favorites are the black with the trench coat..and the little back dress with the jacket topped off with the pearls, so very chic….Best to you for a healthy, happy and successful 2022! lol xxx
