Great demo, thanks for the split coil modes, I might just do it, I wish they had gave us news on when the single coil moderns would come out, they came out with no news, I noticed them on the site a few days before they made a video even.
This is really one of the best pickup demos I've seen. Thorough and cohesive demonstration of the pickups' versatility, great guitar sound and fantastic playing. Well done!
I'm considering buying a new guitar that comes stock with these pickups and this is probably the best sound demo I've found for them on youtube. I'm still not sure if these are the pickups for me, but this video has definitely given me some of the info I need to make my decision. Thanks, and keep up the good work!
Totally agree. Just getting into learning guitar and I'm considering replacing the cheap ones on my factory guitar to help better pick up the sounds that I'm playing and this is definitely giving me more info. I could tell that I'm not as in tune with my ear to be able to tell how big of a difference each option is but I'm at least given the ability to do it rather than getting a written article that isn't going to help me.
I’m still learning about pickups and bought a guitar with Fluences in them. I appreciate the Clean demos as I haven’t developed an ear to really distinguish between distorted pickup voicings.
This serious demo earned a sub from me man. This is 100000000% what I was looking for in a demo of EVERYTHING the pickup wiring options had to offer. I wanted to hear outer vs. inner coil taps, etc. Excellent, and I mean EXCELLENT work!
incredibly well structured demo. it so thorough that I have decided conclusively that these pickups are not for me. I love innovations and for the last 5 years I've been trying to convince myself to like Fluence pickups but I have never quite fallen in love with it.
First off, sick guitar. Second, Thanks for making an actual demo video of these pickups, best one out there! Third, you know how to shred! Thanks again.
I would say the best pick up set Fishman offers across the board is the Abasi set since its offered in 6,7,and 8 strings. It just has all the right frequencies and just feels more focused. The KSE is a pretty dynamic set obviously a little less gain but with a different eq to get more note separation and for more rich clean tones, the only downside obviously is those are only offered at the moment in 6 string set.
I play in voice 2 more often then not, even tho its lower output the low end is more pronounced and bit more clarity of the notes. MY dont coil split, just V1 and V2 on a new LTD MH1000 i got.
Easily the most complete demo of these PUs on youtube. Great job i've been looking for a comparison like this for a while. Let me ask, do you prefer the modern or the classics? From what i've heard on YT i very slightly prefer the moderns but i'd like to hear the opinion of someone who has actually played both.
Hey, thanks for the kind words! Like many, I was skeptical about jumping on the Fishman train because I was a passive pickup guy before and I didn't like the whole idea about having a battery in my guitar, especially after not being a fan of the stock EMGs that came with my guitar. So, I took baby steps and started with the Fluence Classics and I was completely blown away. The amount of detail that you get from these pickups are unreal so I quickly jumped on said train. However, the Classics are exactly what they sound like, Vintage P.A.F. sounds without the baggage, and if that's what you're going for, great! These pickups are for you! However, after trying out the Moderns finally, I gotta say, I much prefer them over the classics. There's A TON of output on the active voicing, but it's never intrusive and it doesn't hit a hard limiter like an EMG 81would. It sounds like an active pickup, but it still has a ton of dynamic content to it; it really is the middle ground of passive and active (the best of both worlds, if you will). Overall, it sounds more focused and it's perfect for the style of music that I'm going for these days. I also like the cleans on the Moderns more than the Classics, but both are wonderful options! TLDR: I prefer the Moderns over the Classic. They sound tighter and I like the cleans more on those pickups.
is it possible to especially split a fismans as a inner and outer coils as we can see in a video? I mean, has it possibles every guitar with a fisman fluence modern pick ups?
It should be possible with any set of Fishman Fluence Modern Humbuckers. The only catch is that you have to solder in extra wires in order to achieve this: www.fishman.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Fluence_Humbucker_Coil_Tapping.pdf I hope that helps. Thank you for watching, if you liked this consider checking out my solo EP! li.sten.to/TnIWX1e
Essentially there's a lug on the back of the pickups that when connected to ground activates Voice 2. So when it's not connected to ground, it's voice 1 by default. I hope that helps!
Loved you're video very informative!!..would it be to much to ask for an exact wiring diagram of youre 3 push pull pots and switch selector ?..Thanks just hit me up and I can send you my email...

Awesome video.. but can you make/provide a diagram, with one pushpull volume & tone Where the volume is for voice1&2 And the tone is coil split outter coil Blade switch as well
EDIT: This is why FIshman calls it Tapping not Splitting... I looked up an answer directly from a Fishman Rep. This is basically what he said. They like to consider it a Tap because the two sides of the humbucker are permanently wired in series with their pickups(they dont have an extra start and end). So to get a "split" option the only way is to put a Tap in between the two sides. So i do see where they are coming from now. A split is normally just as it sounds, your splitting the two sides with an extra start and end which is why it ends up as 4 Conductor pickup. But With Fishmans they dont have those extra start and end wires and as i said already the two sides are permanently wired in series so the only way to get only half of the pickup active is to Tap it. With this method there are benefits though like being able to choose which side you want active. Original Post: On my Modern 7's i have the inner coil SPLIT cause its brighter. Fishman refers to the splitting option as tapping but if your bypassing one of the coils its splitting not tapping which is having a switch that just bypasses a small amount of the windings on a humbucker or single coil in order to lower the output for example. Anyways the other settings are warm enough so its nice to have a single coil option that is brighter(inner coil) for clean playing. At first i just did the inner cause it was a little less work(only have to solder on one pad rather than both) but after using it for a while and hearing the outter coils split i decided to keep it on the inner coils. But my 7 string with .105 - 64 gauge strings is naturally going to be fuller and warmer than a 6 string with a set of 10's on it so its good to have the option to do one or the other or use another dpdt switch to toggle between both.
@@GerryTrevino Lol I know! Ok i looked up an answer directly from a Fishman Rep. This is basically what they said. They like to consider it a Tap because the two sides of the humbucker are permanently wired in series with their pups. So to get a "split" option the only way to do it is to put a Tap in between the two sides. So i do see where they are coming from now. @@GerryTrevino Is this why we're not hearing a lot of "quack" from split coils in the middle position? I was thinking we would get some "phased" tones like the 2 or 4 position in a strat with the middle position 3-way coils tapped.
When I setup my guitars, with the strings being fretted down at the highest fret possible, I usually have a distance of 3mm from the strings on the low E side and 2mm on the high E side. If you liked this, consider checking out my EP! li.sten.to/TnIWX1e
I decided to put these pickups on after watching this video. Thank you to video, Gerry ! To this scheme, I also added tone control. But I noticed that one of the pickups are making a lot more buzz noise than the other. Do you have such problem? What is its reason, what do you think, how did you fix it?
Oh awesome, thank you for watching! Hmmm, I'm not sure why that would be since I myself did not have any buzzing going on. Using those pickups for more than a year now (were stock on my guitar) I want to delete voice 2 and include one of the coil Split. Difference between the two voicing isn't that interesting. Voice 1 stay the more powerful for high gain stuff.
I've never seen a pickup demo so extensive and so engaging at the same time. I was looking for a new set of pickups for my LTD EC-1000T for Drop C and I found it. Had to hit the sub too. Thanks man and I look forward to your future vids!!
Oh man, I did this so long ago that unfortunately I don't remember exactly what I did since I pieced it all together in my head and never made a diagram for it. 😔 But to answer the other question, you don't NEED to wire in the HF tilt, that is optional. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, if you liked this, consider checking out my solo EP! li.sten.to/TnIWX1e
These probably wouldn't sound bad on either voicing if i wasn't hearing (im assuming you left eq alone thankfully) an overbearing spike at around 4k. For me it's a bit distracting and takes away what is possibly a brilliant tone. I thank you so much for doing this video!
Actually, to activate the coil tapping you have to solder certain points on the back of the pickups to ground! I hope that helps. Thank you for watching, if you liked this, consider checking out my solo EP! li.sten.to/TnIWX1e

There are various outlets where you can get them, like StewMac for example. When you buy a set of Fishman Fluence pickups, they come with everything you need including the 25k dpdt pots.
@@GerryTrevino stewmac has 25k pots for amplifiers with solid shafts. Their dpdt are alpha or CTS, but all are 250 or 500 k that I've seen. Btw. I do appreciate the quick response. I haven't purchased these pickups before but a customer wants them so I'm doing my due diligence before buying. I get them from WD music. It doesnt say what they do or don't have in the box, but on the Fishman site it says pots not included. They also make no mention about the battery cable being included or not. So the kit you purchased included all of it? Minus the dpdt I assume, but had normal pots?
@@MythicGuitarCompany Whoops, I stand corrected. Could've swore I bought some of those from there! Either way, I've bought multiple sets of Fishman Fluence Pickups including the Classics, Moderns and the Tosin Abasi signature and they all came with the necessary wiring, 2 normal 25k pots, 2 DPDT 25k pots and the battery cable.
@@GerryTrevino Thank you so much. Hey, um.... if you plan on buying more at any point, hit me up. I have to be careful how I word this... Fishman has a MAPP policy.. no one is allowed to sell them under a certain price... but... I buy them for much cheaper than they sell for, if you get my drift... same with lots of other parts.. @@RickBomhof Fishman's website has a lot of useful wiring diagrams that are easy to follow for more conventional setups! @@timothyrussell2971 The Modern set comes with one of each. The Ceramic traditionally goes in the bridge and the Alnico in the neck (that's the configuration I used for the video), however, you can also swap them if you wanted to.
Maybe you or someone else can answer this for me. How does the push pull and the coil tap work if you only have one volume and one tone with a 3 way switch?
@@timothyrussell2971 You could wire it to where you have a push/pull pot for your volume knob that switches between the two voices and a push/pull pot for your tone knob that engages the coil tap.

Hello Gerry, thanks for making this awsome demo. I also have Hellraiser C-1 (bought it 2015). I am considering replacing my stock pickups (81tw/89) to fishman fluence modern, but I am not sure if I can just plug them right in or not. Do I still need other soldering?

@@GerryTrevino If I don't want to achieve single coil sounds, what else soldering do I need to do? Is wiring bridge ground the only soldering I need to do?
@@zhuoyinlong4908 Well there's that and the leads that need to be soldered in order to change between the two voices and I'm not entirely sure if the wiring harness for the EMGs is interchangeable with the Fishman.
Do you have to unplug active pick up guitars to save the life of the battery? Just bought an Ibanez 5121 with Fishman Moderns. Battery was toast in less then a week. First active pickup guitar I have owned.
really me too bro, do u already have the answer rght now? im getting confused about 2 version of this pickup. in ryan bruce channel i hear them both(alnico and ceramic, in the bridge position) and im pretty sure the alnico is the good one for the bridge position. and maybe also on the neck
Hey guys! So, yes the Modern set comes with 1 alnico and 1 ceramic pickup and traditionally the alnico is used in the neck position and the ceramic is used in the bridge position (that's the way I used them for this demo). However, you can use either one in either position. While I haven't tried it myself, using the alnico in the bridge position will give you a bit of a warmer feel compared to the ceramic. Hope that helps!
I can't really comment on that since I have yet to try a set of Bare Knuckle Pickups, but I can say that the Fishmans are definitely next level technology! Hope that helps.

New subscriber here! Love your content! Still kinda on the fence about jumping ship to fishman. Are they any good dynamic wise? I've been rolling with EMG for about 10 years and have one guitar with a pair of Nazgul/Sentient. Any idea of how they might stack up against each other? Keep the content coming, I will be watching!
Thank you so much for subscribing! I actually had the Nazgul/Sentient back in the day haha. I've only ever tried the EMG 81/85 set and I wasn't all that impressed. The Fishman Moderns definitely have the active sound to them, but they're way more dynamic than say the EMGs. Still, I prefer the Tosin Abasi set and the Classics over the Moderns these days. I hope that helps!
@@GerryTrevino Definitely! The Classics sound more like an actual paf right? I loved the emg's for a long time but as of now i tend to more softer pickups with more lower mids and a rather warm tone. The DiMarzio Titan is my go-to right now, even though it is very, very mid rangey. Love your playing mate and love your EP keep it up and warm greetings from Austria!
@@tomcantonati9741 Yeah exactly, I particularly like Voice 2 of the bridge pickup on the Classic set. That voicing is more of a hot-rodded humbucker type sound! Thank you so VERY much for checking out the EP!
@@GerryTrevino to be fairly honest though, i saw your JB vs Classic shootout and figured not only did they sound almost identical (pretty sure the Classic is somewhat reminiscent of the JB), I pretty much prefer the JB. Maybe it has something to do with the actual price tag of the fishman though.

@@GerryTrevino Good man! I'm between these fishman pickups (fluence modern) and the juggs set. Dude, i really don't know what to do. I want something that has note separation in chords with high distortion. Like Mark style for example. But i didn't like that much the juggs because of that low mid sound. Do you think these pickups (fishman fluence) are good to play progressive like Periphery?
@@eduardo4683 The Fishman Moderns are a really good, flat, un-intrusive, well-rounded pickup. There's plenty in note separation and it's a good starting point for crafting your tone. However, if you're looking for that progressive sound, maybe look into the Tosin Abasi Fishman set or the Alpha/Omega from Seymour Duncan. I also hear the Pegasus/Sentient set from SD is good for progressive stuff too!
@@GerryTrevino I'll check the alpha/omega set, they look very good. And what about the cleans of this fishman of the video. Are they good as a good passive pickup? I mean, clean, organic like jazz tones. Like plini cleans for example. What are your thoughts about that? I'll put a set of pickups in my 7 string jackson, Baswood. But i'm trying to find a good set first
@@GerryTrevino Before i forget, there's a big problem putting the alpha/omega 7 set in my basswood jackson? Not a ''problem'' you know, just a big different result than what i expected. Because they were made for prs of mahoganny, and your schecter is mahoganny too.
ok so the hell with the pickups lol you've got an awesome tone for that guitar and i'm thinking a big chunk of that is from the gear setup your running. i've got the same guitar with EMG pickups and it sounds nothing even close to yours, id be interested in another video going over your gear and how you have things dialed in to to work with those pickups to create that overall tone your getting out of that guitar. Awesome crisp sound, great clarity, really just overall amazing sound IMO. great review on the pickups though deff gave a great idea of what kinda sound they can produce when matched with good equipment.
Thank you! For this demo I used a Peavey 6505+ with no boost into a Two-Notes Torpedo Live loaded with an IR of either a Carvin Legacy cab or a Mesa cab. I can't remember right now haha, but that's all I did!
I was thinking about buying a guitar with these pickups. I mostly play classic\hard rock music with the odd bit of metal, anything from GnR, Skid Row, Whitesnake to Metallica and Iron Maiden. Do you think these pickups are versatile enough to do classic\hard rock as well as metal or would I be better off getting a guitar with a SD 59\JB setup?
What Larry said. If you're looking for that Classic/Hard Rock sound, you might be better off with the Fishman Fluence Classic Humbuckers. Voice 2 of the bridge pickup in that set is very comparable to the SD JB. Check out this demo I did of the Fishman Classics. That should help you! ruclips.net/video/r_HPlOZ3U3c/видео.html
Garry Treveno - Id really like to know which coil you liked tapped better, the inner or outer? Ive had my set wired for a push pull coil tap on the inner coils for awhile now but i was considering rewiring for the outer coils to be tapped or to have an On Off On DPDT switch to select between on or the other. I have my Jb/59 set on my other guitar wired to split the coils separately from one another and really like it but on my 7 string with the fishmans i only have two pot spaces which im using for a voice 1/2 tone control on one and an inner coils tapped/ humbucker and volume control on the other. But im skilled enough that making another hole for a DPDT toggle switch wouldn't be a problem if i decide its necessary other than maybe being a pain to make the space for it in the control cavity lol. Anyways, like i said id REALLY appreciate a few words on your preferred option so i can get some more info from someone whos used them both to base my decision off of. Thanks for any info you can throw my way!
More or less. I had it wired this way specifically only for the video to showcase the full potential of the Fluence pickups. You could also use switches to achieve some of these sounds!
Ok so I found the wiring diagram I want (2 humbuckers with 2 vol 1 tone toggle). It’s shown using classic open cores, will it sill work with moderns or is the wiring different?
Yes it'll work and the wiring diagram for the Classic Open Core is very similar to the Modern set except for trying to achieve the single coil sounds (i.e. Voice 3). If you want to coil tap the pickups you'll have to solder a line from the pickup to ground or connect the H to the CT depending on if you want to hear the inner or outer coils. This diagram should help with that! www.fishman.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/fluence_humbucker_coil_tapping.pdf
I love how you wired those. But I have a question. With it wired like that are the tone knobs still active or are they just being used for the push pull function?
@@roccanto86 These days, I usually don't wire in the tone knob. I find that you get a slightly brighter and clearer tone that way! thank you for watching!
Question for ya boss. I have an LTD ec1000et with evertune. The evertune kind of eats sustain in favor of tuning stability. Would adding higher gain pickups like these help fight that?
@@GerryTrevino turns out some one had installed a Floyd spaced pickup in the bridge. So the pickup wasn't getting as much signal as it needed.. swapping it out for emgs fixed all the issues.
The Modern set comes with 1 alnico and 1 ceramic pickup and traditionally the alnico is used in the neck position and the ceramic is used in the bridge position. That's the way I used them for this demo!
So, a Humbucker is made up two single coil pickups wounded together. Think of like a Les Paul that usually has big rectangles for the pickups. That's two single coil pickups put together. Now, depending on the pickup, you sometimes have the ability to use only one of the coils from a Humbucker to get a single coil sound. That’s what I’m doing in this video and depending on which coil I’m using, you can some totally different sounds! If you were looking at a set of Humbuckers on a guitar, the outer coils would be the ones that are next to the bridge and next to the neck, so as far away from each other as possible. The inner coils would be the pickups in-between that are the closest together. I hope that helps!
This was originally a stock Schecter Hellraiser C-1 in Gloss white, I just switch out the original hardware for gold hardware. However, a beauty she is. Thanks!
Can you please send me your diagram for the beautiful tones you got on this video, also the function of each pot, and how you wired them- if so let me know so l could give you my email address! Thank you.
Hey, Vio! Thank for watching my video. Unfortunately, I don't have a master diagram that I used to make the wiring happen for this demo. I dug through Fishman's website and took bits and pieces of info from several diagrams in order to be able to switch between the two voices and coil tap sounds. However, here's a link to the digram from their website that demonstrates how to achieve the coil tap: www.fishman.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/fluence_humbucker_coil_tapping.pdf Essentially, connecting the center taps (CT) to ground activates the inner coils and connecting the hots (H) to the center taps (CT) activates the outer coils. So, what I did was to get the Outer Coil sounds, I wired a push/pull pot that would connect the CTs to the Hs. From that same pot, I wired jumpers that connected the CTs to a second Push/Pull Pot. When I pulled up on the second Push/Pull pot it connected the CTs to ground, thus giving me the Inner Coil sounds. *Note: If you pull up on both knobs, the circuit will short, thus giving you no output out of the guitar. Not dangerous, but I thought you should know! To switch between the two voices, just solder the orange and green wires to a Push/Pull knob so when you pull on it, it connects them to ground. I'm no expert on the Fluence pickups, but I hope that helps! Be sure to check out Fishman's website for various other types of diagrams. That's where I got all of my info from. www.fishman.com/products/series/fluence/ Feel free to ask me any more questions!

I don’t get it- you want me to ask Fishman to tell you to do this Demo for KSE...? I thought you are able to “work” for them and to “show us” those different Fluence Pickups... Let me know when you have a video about the KSE for me to be able to decide which set might be the one for me- l don’t wanna play just Metal..., l play in/for church as well...- so l wanna have some nice, fat, round Humbucker and Single Coil tone(s)
Well, than l hope u can do a short video about the KSE- l wanna compare them Solo andClean- as many tones and comments about them as possible...- (Before regretting on buying something and be stuck with them on only “One type of music/Level”...- u got the point...)
Btw, since the guitar is YOURS, what’s so hard to open the back plate and to make a diagram (even if is in pencil) and “share it” with me? I like the idea of splitting the H/S tone....- but it looks like u don’t wanna share this...?!? Anyway... Let me know if you can share it...- thank you very much.
Same. There's a guitar I like with these on it and I just don't see what everyone sees in them. Give me some Dimarzios and let me get freaky with it. Not interested in a sterile compressed sound.
Hey Julian! Yes they do, but it depends on the voicing. Voice 1 (Active) has a lot of output and definitely feels more like an active pickup than a passive one, but it still feels good to play. Voice 2 (Passive) feels more passive and the low end reacts more to your picking and playing. Hope that helps!

That's how a pickups shoutout should be done. Thank you!

How do you wire the push/pull to achieve active vs. passive?
Essentially there's a lug on the back of the pickups that when connected to ground activates Voice 2. So when it's not connected to ground, it's voice 1 by default. I hope that helps!

Original Post:
On my Modern 7's i have the inner coil SPLIT cause its brighter.
I just called it tapping because that's what Fishman calls it!
@@GerryTrevino Lol I know! Ok i looked up an answer directly from a Fishman Rep. This is basically what they said. @@michaelinglis8516 Well, that's some good information to know. Thanks!
@@GerryTrevino Is this why we're not hearing a lot of "quack" from split coils in the middle position? I was thinking we would get some "phased" tones like the 2 or 4 position in a strat with the middle position 3-way coils tapped.

question i have is..... it says in the instructions to use 25K pots... not 250K not 500K.... so what 25K pot has DPDT in them????

Hi, can this pick up replace emgs in Jim root telecaster? Thanks
Absolutely! Although you might need to wire in a ground wire to the bridge of your guitar if it doesn't have one already.

This pickups are good for note separation in chords? I mean, like the dimarzio titans.
I haven't tried the Dimarzio Titans, but the Fishmans are excellent for note separation!

Do you think these pickups are versatile enough to do classic\hard rock as well as metal or would I be better off getting a guitar with a SD 59\JB setup?
whiteshadow67 Check out the Fluence Classic Humbucker set.

Id really like to know which coil you liked tapped better, the inner or outer?
Hey Michael! My name is "Gerry" btw haha. For these pickups, I preferred the sound of the outer coils being split. Hope that helps!

Still waiting for your diagram/wiring ... (if you can send it to me...)
Let me know please...!
Thanks
Sorry for the late reply, I work a day job!
So you have to have at least three pots to get the full effect of these pickups?

I love how you wired those. But I have a question. With it wired like that are the tone knobs still active or are they just being used for the push pull function?
I took the tone knobs out of the circuit, so yeah, they only have push/pull functionality!
@@GerryTrevino Hi Gerry! Awesome review, I'm getting my FF modern set in a few hours. What are your thoughts about no using a tone knob on a guitar?

Question for ya boss. I have an LTD ec1000et with evertune. The evertune kind of eats sustain in favor of tuning stability. Would adding higher gain pickups like these help fight that?
High gain pickups can definitely help with that, but maybe try using a compressor pedal!
@@GerryTrevino turns out some one had installed a Floyd spaced pickup in the bridge. So the pickup wasn't getting as much signal as it needed.. swapping it out for emgs fixed all the issues.
Glad you got it fixed!

Are these the AlNiCo or Ceramic versions?
The Modern set comes with 1 alnico and 1 ceramic pickup and traditionally the alnico is used in the neck position and the ceramic is used in the bridge position. That's the way I used them for this demo!

Hay bro ,what is inner and outer coils ?

However, here's a link to the digram from their website that demonstrates how to achieve the coil tap: www.fishman.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/fluence_humbucker_coil_tapping.pdf
Essentially, connecting the center taps (CT) to ground activates the inner coils and connecting the hots (H) to the center taps (CT) activates the outer coils.
That's where I got all of my info from. www.fishman.com/products/series/fluence/
Feel free to ask me any more questions!

Do you like those (Modern) better than the KSE...?
Can't say since I haven't tried the KSE set yet. However, if you'd like to see me demo them, contact Fishman and let them know you want to see a demo from me!
www.fishman.com/contact/
I don’t get it- you want me to ask Fishman to tell you to do this Demo for KSE...? I thought you are able to “work” for them and to “show us” those different Fluence Pickups...
Let me know when you have a video about the KSE for me to be able to decide which set might be the one for me- l don’t wanna play just Metal..., l play in/for church as well...- so l wanna have some nice, fat, round Humbucker and Single Coil tone(s)

Well, than l hope u can do a short video about the KSE- l wanna compare them Solo andClean- as many tones and comments about them as possible...-
(Before regretting on buying something and be stuck with them on only “One type of music/Level”...- u got the point...)
Btw, since the guitar is YOURS, what’s so hard to open the back plate and to make a diagram (even if is in pencil) and “share it” with me? I like the idea of splitting the H/S tone....- but it looks like u don’t wanna share this...?!? Anyway...
Let me know if you can share it...- thank you very much.

does it feels like passive p.ups? pls answer :(
Voice 1 is a active pickup sound. And voice 2 is a passive pickup sound
@@edgygingerkid9525 what i meant was the playability. or the "feel"
Hey Julian! Yes they do, but it depends on the voicing. Voice 1 (Active) has a lot of output and definitely feels more like an active pickup than a passive one, but it still feels good to play. Voice 2 (Passive) feels more passive and the low end reacts more to your picking and playing. Hope that helps!
