Top tune! Definitely one that I wouldn't call cheesy either. Especially since it was released in 1995 when cheddar like Toytown, Now is the Time and Rainbow Islands was doing the rounds. Samples the classic 'Unity' from 1991.
Hixxy once told me that Toytown was based on a sample from a record he once bought from me in my old record shop. I'll be damned if I can remeber what it was though.
Jimmy Jay played this out dreamscape 27, thanks for the upload, thanks for the memories Stu
@stueey68 will you ever make more? :O
No one produces this anymore and I get increasingly paranoid I'll run out of amazing tracks like this to listen to.
Yes, Stu J for my sins.
Just listened to this track again, until seeing this entry I'd forgotten all about it yet it's actually just about my favourite of my tracks along with Flying High. I can't believe I made so long though, must have been enjoying myself a bit too much at the time! :)
Take's me back to my days on the South Coast. Adrenalin, Madisons, Sterns. Soton Massive...big shout out to the Lost It Crew!
Is that Donna on vocals or a sample? Great tune. Man I miss those times! Lost in deepest rural France these days. Sterns, Madisons and the Adrenalin events....we'll never see an era like it again.
@@paullewis1295 that was indeed Donna
Stu, know this, you captured an era and this will never get old for me I’m 40 now and I’ll listen till the day I die, the scene as it was captured a moment in time that will not be forgotten - even got me kids listening but they don’t get it yet ;)
M8 you produced some serious bangers 🔥
I think this may be the first record I ever owned as a 13-year-old DJ. I love it.
Y'know I wish they still made stuff like this track.
As dyno as dyno gets
WIcked tune bruv!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks!
That probably is Donna, I can't remember. I'm pretty sure that if the piano sounds like an old house track that it's coincidental as any stuff I sampled was from my own collection and I don't recognise it as something else I used to play.
As for it being cheesy... Well yes, I agree, good old cheesy happy hardcore, nothing wrong with that! Ha ha :)
Stu J
Stuart Joseph u are a legend for uploading this
@@paulfyfe7442 Thank you!
nice, great tunage!!
What a tune BTW, never ever heard this and followed the scene for years , I must have been hiding somewhere
Oh I thought they meant cheesy as in crappy. I'm used to the word "cheesy" meaning mediocre.
Learn something new everyday :D
Wait, what? Stu J?!
cheesy? wtf xD
Far from that.
"Pump me upppp - look out, here we go!" Some segments of this are borderline cheesy - such as the opening organ riff, but the main feel of the track keeps this bubbling along nicely. I like the slightly more "shuffle" feel of the track....tad more bouncy with a vocal that sounds like Donna Grassie singing the lyrics from an old house tune that escapes me name wise - also the piano is nabbed from said house tune - was it House Traffic? I can't remember, Still...decent if not overly amazing tune
Unity USA MIx by Unity is the tune you are thinking of.
Donna and I have been mates since before this era, it was Donna on the vocal. We first met when she was vocalist for a local band called Pump House Gang. One of the other band members was my mate Rick who became Sunset Regime.
@theonethatlovesit
Cool, cheers dude!
Any chance for a MP3 ?
