Thank you so much! I've watched tons of gear videos for my 2017 hike and find the same thing. Nobody goes into detail on this stuff. The devil is in the details!
You can also find assorted small plastic bags in the jewelry crafts section of WalMart and various crafts stores. Better selection in crafts than in pharmacy. Much more variety in jewelry stuff than in sizes of most pills. Recently found/bought those plain (no printing) bags at WalMart.
You obviously tried to find small and lightweight but the cost is extremely poor efficiency and high cost. Instead of buying that mini-micro shovel, you should have just used a shoehorn.
The idea behind ultralight gear is a balance between low weight and high efficiency. How would a shoe horn work better than the trowel in the video? It would be heavier and wouldn't do the job better.
those miniature towels just blew my mind haha
They are awesome. I have been using them at night to wipe down. No scents which is nice.
Thats awesome, good to know especiially the no scent!

Great bags, but dumb question, where did you get the smaller ziploc bags for your meds and such?
You can find them at your local pharmacy in the pill box/medication holder area.

Sweet, I will check both of those places out.
I was just checking out QiWiz's trowels yesterday. They look like a great option, so I'm glad to see you toting one and liking it.
The mountain house dinner comment made me laugh! :-)
