ICONIC
Started out at the bottom, ended up the last hero standing
idk, i dont think it was his decision, they just kept him around because he absolutly sucked at everything, even old Rupert or Candice were bigger treats in challenges..
Started off as bottom? You mean that first challenge with Coach?
@@MoraAdmiral28 yes he didn't even back Amanda in her wrestle with Danielle for the idol clue. He looked bored like he wished he stayed home. Colby was the worst hero casting selection. Should have been Yau-Man. Or even somebody old school like Big Tom (who even got extremely far both times he played unlike Colby)
This guy did absolutely nothing if he got that further was because he got lucky and he sucked.
@@ricardosalmeron1946 he did not enjoy it this time so he was like just kinda there. he didnt care. it looked like he did but he didnt care anymore
People said that Colby was pathetic but i actually understand the way he stands this season as he explained it at the reunion. The way how people are treating and playing the game is different... The mental is different and not really in a attitude that you may want to compete... against
the game evolves with every season
either adapt or get your torch snuffed
O. D Exactly. I’m mean there is a reason why old Survivor is yearned for and new Survivor with all these idols and twists is becoming less appealing. New Zealand doesn’t even play any American Survivor seasons because of its ratings. Colby represented us . The fans that grew watching Richard Hatch and it’s old days.
His mentality and experience was more Survival than political, which is sadly what Survivor has become: a bunch of politicians and liars who aren't really struggling to survive. They're just a bit malnourished and making schemes every 30 seconds to get rid of people.
@Nostalgia I completely agree. I can handle maybe one or two immunity idols in the entire game, but seeing about 10+ of them every season including multiples used at Tribal Council. They're trying so desperately to add twists that it's just making the show worse.
Nostalgia
You mean old survivor where half of cast doesn’t understand how to play and just quietly wait their turn to go home? Idol made survivor more strategical instead of popularity contest. Before idol, majority was just swallowing player one by one pretty predictably.
@@springtome74 and I'm going to answer by shut the fuck up. Just answering that proves your ignorance. Period. Bye
He really is the true embodiment of a hero, it was very fitting that Colby was the last one standing!
Yuck. He slammed Shii-Ann for being under the radar in All Stars. And then used that strategy in HvV and got far from it. He's a hypocrite
@@bc5163 Couldn’t agree with this more.
@@bc5163Colby lived and learnt that it is a great strategy
The confessionals at 13:45 is heart-beeaking. Its like us saying goodbye to a legend
For those who appreciate survivor that is a truly pure emotional moment for a character we grew up with to fall on his sword with honour and integrity
Good riddance. Tina was way more interesting her third time around in BvW.
I'd be happy for Tina back for a fourth time than Colby. His claimed older age has nothing to do with it. Tina is older than him. His lack of enthusiasm is what makes him boring. Purple Kelly from Nicaragua managed to be more interesting than him!
He was great in Australia. But as he grew older his ego, arrogance & rude behavior just got worse. He needs to tone down his big ego first.
I've stated this in other videos, I'll state it here..........
If these 19 people had seen even only the 1st episode of the Samoa season before the H. vs V. season started Russell would not have gotten to the final 4. Hell he might not have gotten to the jury phase. SOMEONE on the Heroes tribe would have talked J.T. out of giving his idol to Russell, and Amanda and Rupert would have believed Sandra when she stated that Russell can't be trusted. Unfortunately the jury from this season was on their way home from this season before the 1st episode of the Samoa season was even aired. This season was already over before we met Russell in Samoa at all.
r5t6y12 Just think about that. Russell went on survivor twice back to back. He made it to the final 3 both times. Then he went home and found out that he lost both times.
Separately, Russell would've gotten out had Tyson not essentially voted for himself lol. He should not have made it so deep
The season that turned fans against Colby and the season that made fans love Jerri. It came full circle 😅
I turned against him in All Stars
I turned against him in Australian Outback he's such a dickhead, betrayed his first ever alliance, and humiliates Jerri by hurling water at her after their team lost doritos and mountain dew. How anyone ever considered him a hero and Jerri a villain blows my mind
I don't like them both
He was pathetic in All stars. Couldnt get over with his loss on Australian outback which was his own fault takinf Tina in final. He was lacking social skills and in HvV he was weak in challenges too.
Mini Donut Thatwas Ambers fault
Colby for a Legends to Never Win season
Along with Jerri 🙏🙌😭
Aussie
I think people don't really see what actually happened here. Colby was miserable on the Heros tribe and was constantly in danger of being voted out. However, once the villains took over the game he actually started to enjoy himself because he got along with Jerri and Danielle and to a certain extent Russell and Parvati.
Something that keeps getting overlooked is the fact that after the merge, he's shown strategizing way more than he did when it was just the Heroes on the beach. He talked with Sandra often and was shown to often be in talks of strategy in the weakened Heroes alliance. This is noticeable in the episode where Candice was flip-flopping between alliances.
He also made it to the final 5 because Danielle and Jerri were friendly with him, so ofc they kept him around longer than all of the rest of the Heroes (who were much more unpleasant compared to him).
I agree, I believe him when he says he started to enjoy the game at the end more than the start. It seemed like he hated the hero's tribe but once the villains came and started taking all of them out, I think he started to enjoy himself. Like the scene when him and Rupert are strategizing on how to get rid of Candace is a great scene because you don't think of them as strategists.
9:30 I felt the EXACT same way about Jerri while watching HvV as it aired. After Colby left and it was down to her, Parvati, Russell and Sandra I was actually thinking, and even hoping, that she would win the game if she wound up sitting at the end with Russell and Sandra. Jerri Manthey had the absolute best arc of any player in the entire season, because it spoke volumes of her growth as a person over the years between All-Stars and HvV.
Jerri didn't change at all between the first time she played and All-Stars. It was like she didn't take any responsibility and look inward after the first season. It would have been so cringe if she played a third season and didn't make any changes a decade later. Before you make personal change, you have to recognize that change is needed.
@@goondocksaints9597 Tbh after watching All Stars she actually seemed somewhat mellow but then when she got to Mogo Mogo she became really irritating to me. So I'm glad she became good in HvV
Jerri had the ultimate redemption arc on Survivor. Hated villainess in Australia, sympathetic and robbed in All-Stars, and the unlikely hero of HvV.
Sugar flirting and failing with Colby will never not make me uncomfortable
I read that that was fabricated by producers and that Sugar never flirted with Colby more than anyone else. Apparently it was Sugar + J.T.
I like that Colby doesn’t like how Survivor changed, because neither do I. It is so full of hatred, spite, betrayal, and unnecessary drama these days. Colby was a boss n his first season, it was great.
Ian Johnson the betrayal and drama, yes. But I actually think there’s less hatred and spite in modern survivor than old school survivors. Players are taking betrayals less personal, cut throat gameplay has become appreciated, and jurors are becoming more objective in voting for the best player to win. There was a lot of hatred and spite in the older days of the show
@@synyster5469 Actually, cutthroat gameplay is less appreciated than ever. Today's juries are actually being taken into account before and when they become jurors; they are getting the emotional consideration that Russell sees as irrelevant to the experience. Players are factoring in the cost of betrayal so that the jury doesn't see them as fucktards as they did Russell. And finally, there is no such thing as "the best player" except for the one whose name is on the vote that is pulled out when the winner is announced.
Allrequired, totally agree about "the best player."
The "best" is subjective. What's not subjective is who got the most jury votes at FTC.
@@AllRequiredJust because you get enough votes to win in the end doesn’t mean you are the best player. Thats a ridiculous mindset for a complex game like Survivor
That last confessional is very memorable
I loved him in this season. He was like a younger version of Randy; it was hilarious.
I genuinely liked Colby. It's too bad he has tried all he could in being majority or winning challenges..... :/
1:57 This hits a lot differently now that I’ve been in a similar position. I could feel the uncomfortableness second hand.
“Laying there still like I was laying in a coffin” 😂
Survivor: "Im Watching Treasure Island"
how can you not love colby
All he needed to do was win 2 challenges or find 1 idol. Literally everyone wanted a hero to win so if he won those two challenges, he would’ve basically won unanimously. Courtney would vote for him unless Sandras there
JT would
Amanda would
Candace would
Rupert would
Jerri probably would
If sandra wasnt there, courtney would vote for jerri
@@kayliedunlapthen he could just bring Parvati and Russel because no one likes Russel and everyone would have probably voted for him over Parvati
Can you do Tom's (Palau) confessionals next?
*He is always a HERO to me*. He is still hot compared to old Cody TBH*
I thought Jerri was more of a hero than he was
How he didn't backstab one person lol
I love Colby! HvV is one of my favorite seasons of Survivor.
He was kind of right about the villains self destructing, they had a rough time once Tyson and Rob were out. If only it had happened one vote sooner, very different game.
I wish Jeff would hold onto me like he’s holding onto his hat at the beginning

The first real hero on the show and the last hero standing on this season
Colby is great in all three of his appearances.
A.J Deets He was just pathetic in HvV
straya bish Yes he was and that made him great, it was the perfect ending to his career. The game just isn’t what it used to be and that’s why Colby did awful.
really? he was lackluster in All Stars and HvV imo.
@@charliez077 I'd say he was tolerable in All Stars and was just hilariously awful in HvV
It's so ridiculous how he tries to blame age or whatever but Tina kicked butt in BvW. And she's older than him. What she had that he lacked was enthusiasm.
Perhaps Colby would be more interesting in HvV if Shii-Ann were there again to roll her eyes at him. That's the only time he's ever been remotely interesting
All he needed to do was win 2 challenges or find 1 idol. Literally everyone wanted a hero to win so if he won those two challenges, he would’ve basically won unanimously.
Colby is on a Sugar free diet.
When Colby’s confessional came up and it said “Australia” I thought for a sec it said “Alabama”

12:58 I mean, he's the only one who brought Fishbach.
Sugar touching Colby : *Nothing Happens*
Dan touches Kellee: *GETS REMOVED*
but Dan was doing to such a point where Kellee and the rest are not even comfortable.
Sugar was just flirting innocently, Dan had a plan to do this
@@detwynner5 colby wasn't comfortable either
Wild Card Watson but dan did to multiple people
The thing about Courtney and Colby is that they both were verbally and physically annoyed but they didn’t make it into a big thing like Kellee did. And I’m not saying it’s a good or bad thing but it didn’t bother them long term like the touching did with kellee. Also it might have been the time it took place.
Colby sucked. It’s like what James said “it’s like seeing that your Superman sucks.” The guy who won 7 immunities in his original season was kept because he was so easy to beat in challenges. Sandra best him in almost all of them and she has never won an individual immunity in the 90 days she’s played. And it’s not like he made up for it with strategy. Sandra couldn’t win challenges but at least she made up for it in the strategy of seeming helpless just to get to the end
Lol give him a break. He's 10 yrs older in HvV
He's gotten older. He played a great strategic game on the merge portion as well.
Saying that Sandra was better strategically is crazy considering the only reason she won was bc she failed at every move she tried to make
Heroes vs villians 2, male heroes tribe
Colby, rupert, jt, Malcolm, nick, (reserves, devins, Christian, Jeremy, Tom Westman, James, Davey, Jay, Spencer, ben)
Also why was christy from Amazon not on heroes tribe?
Ok am I the only who thinks Colby sandbagged a lot of the challenges and immunities as a strategy to prolong his game considering his challenge beast reputation, that did stuff him in all stars second time round ?
Colby is the hottest survivor in history
The reason he did bad was since he put all muscle on, therefore when starving he lost muscle and not fat
Lol I didn't see that holding James back. Colby's mental toughness was nonexistent in this season
Very disappointing performance. James was spot on with the deflated Superman suit comment.
Survivor is not all about physical challenges. If you implicitly show your physical dominance pre-merge, you're basically the primary target once the merge hits. Ozzy is a very good example of that. He DID lessen his threat level for that matter which definitely came in handy when he went deep into the game.
Not to mention he has a decent social game; if not, why would he be the last hero standing? I heard that he and Jerri were actually on good terms in Samoa after all those years of feuding, and he formed a bond with Danielle which kept him around for longer.
"Wow Colby's such a nice guy. I love how he blackballed Jerri out of hollywood."
Russell and pair of horn😄
Forgot how cringe Sugar is
Cringe but ran her 1st season 😂😂
Lol, so funny Colby being tormented by Sugar. Was she really that dense? Apparently she's the type of person that doesn't understand vibes that people give off. She'll keep doing what she's doing until someone tells her to stop. And even then, she might be worse because she wants to be rebellious.
Apparently Sugar was into JT and they "edited" it to make it look as if she liked Colby.
"7 l 0 l 0 l 1 l 2 l 4 l 3 l 1 l 0 l 1 l 2 l 0 l 0 l 3"
Why do you use lowercase L's instead of pipes? It's Shift + \ on a US QWERTY keyboard.
Jenn from Palau (((: pleaseeee
Colby disappointed me this season
It was due to tv editing just to clear it up it wasn't Colby at all they edited him to be like this.
Listen to how arrogant and obnoxious this guy is he thinks the whole world revolves around him he keeps on talking about honoring integrity and tell people no longer play honorable games
Can you also make a Big Mike confessionals from Worlds Apart?
I think he is entertaining
