Sancho, Palmer, Lavia, delap, Pedro porro, duglas luiz, brahim Diaz and the goat himself Julian.. some top talent has been let go by pep. He deserves this humbling
City could've went for Alvarez with a profile similar to him but a younger guy as a backup ST compared to going for Haaland in 22/23 and had I said this after that season ended I would've been a meme but as of now it's clearly visible why. Haaland's game relies completely on service while Alvarez offers so many tactical options with his versatility plus other than just goals, his hold up play, link up play, dribbling, positioning, work-rate, etc. all are incredible. I am happy he chose to leave, Simeone is gradually getting the best of out him, both Alvarez and Atletico are cooking as of now.
But all city's players were better last year and he wasn't a starter, plenty of games he did nothing or he would have been a starter, if he was in this team it wouldn't make a difference he'd probably be playing bad aswell
Btw they planned to make oscar bobb as alvarez's replacement, but you know right oscar bobb is injured rn, oscar bobb play style is exactly carbon copy alvarez, but well, he got injured at the time they need him the most 🤣
@Caolan-b6r I disagree. Alvarez' mentality is stronger than others. He was vital for the 2 months Haaland was injured last season. Without him, City wouldn't get the treble. Also, Haaland has almost been completely dependant in De Bruyne for goals. Alvarez didnt have De Bruyne for those 2 months and carried City with Foden. Alvarez and Foden had great chemistry. I think the Foden and Alvarez link up is what City is missing this season in the attack.
The whole "Alvarez wanted to leave" and "we got 95 mill for a backup" is City's way of coping with the idea that they clearely made a mistake selling a player that was there when no one was there for City, and that they cannot buy another Alvarez with that money, because players like that are rare to find for a price bellow 100 mill
Its not the selling of Alvarez that is the cause of City's current form. Its 100% the player's psychology and the resulting fear they have over the upcoming 115 charges with its outcome to the club's future and their own careers!
Actually, it isnt losing rodri thats the issue. City always have decent ball possession without rodri. It is the absence of julian that has numbed the attack for city.
@blessingsmpunga2136 i agree. But we could have better help with more goals than conceding them. We didn't lose by huge margins except for a few games. Remember how we somehow made it last season without the best midfield around? Alvarez was feeding the goals as well as scoring them to make ends meet. We scrapped through. Now don't bring in foden arguments to make your point.
I used to feel joy for Pep's failure, but now I feel sorry for him as it's getting out of hand. Let's hope he makes the wise decision to retire once he's finished Abu Dhabi FC.

and then there is no backup for Rodri whatsoever
he won the world cup playing with argentina and watching the games he was a very good second striker along side messi.
Palmer and Alvarez made the right decisions 👍
I called it, pep would regret that. I was surprised that city let him go.
Romeo Lavia is another regret for Man City, he would have solved the CDM issue with Rodri unavailability.

I really wanted him to join Chelsea, he's so good
ALVAREZ has been a beast since River! He & Di maria gave Argentina that title!
✌
This reminds of Chicharito taking Berbatov’s place in the UCL Final against Barcelona.
He did the same with palma now look at how good he play for Chelsea
yeaaah good point 😅
He did the same thing with me
You cant compare them. Alvaraez won the World Cup five monhts after joining City. Palmer was a kid who never scored a single goal in the EPL for city
@@ewokER100 at the same alley? i knew there was another person while he was at it with me that night😭
Lautaro Martínez had a fucked up ankle. Both are gold and pillars of the selección Argentina 🇦🇷

atletico madrid is top1 at the time of posting so feel bad 4 pep and good 4 alvarez.. ig
yep, good point. Atleti video is coming soon ✌
Maybe selling Alvarez has something to do with the book balancing.
Since the City is under investigations right now.
julian alvarez was a bench warmer, city has its best players right now aside from rodri, they're just in a bad streak. they'll get back in form soon
Unbelievable for Pep letting young, energetic players go en remaining with old finished players 😂😂he has to stop his stubbornness
Pep stop saying give me my players coz its impossible you need to work out on old players you have ...
It's not like they're gonna spend 400 mill in January, is it?
need a vido about Cole Palmer pls

Stay humble eh....
Nonsense headline .. If Alverez wanted to leave ..not Peps fault but yes a big loss ...but City's tact now are awful ...12 games 0 wins ...Hilarious
Alvarez was good but his exit isn't that big of a loss for City.
hmm, not so sure
6th in the prem right after he left they started to lose games like crazy, keep coping bud
Pep's only mistake was not having an Argentinean starter in the team.😢
Alavrez was a joker for the team
@SpeededitzTm hmm, why you say this?
@@FutbolHistoria88 nah like a super sub or a guy who could turn things around for example Haaland or Kbd aren't in their best he delivers
Looks like Man City is a joke now.
No one wants to play for a control freak. Guardiola just destroyed the future of MC.
Pep is nothing without big players . If he gets a team with no big names he cant do anything
