This is great. And it's a multi-part series with a project. I really appreciate that you've taken the time to create this. I definitely learned a few tricks I missed learning SketchUp on my own.

I was playing with SketchUp last night and tried the stock rotate tool... then I quit. Lol listening to this video at work and when I heard "rotate 90 degree tool" I shouted YES!!! Looking forward to trying that. Thanks

You don't need to point a camera at your display. There are screen recorders available. It's included in Mac OS, and I'm sure they''re available for Windows and linux.

Do you mean that it is no longer in the extension warehouse? We’re you able to download an older version of SketchUp Make?

When I try to make a password with trimble it times out. The following is copied and pasted from sketchup when you click on the timberframe ext.,. So it's my guess it's their way to get you buy pro.
      Google Sign-In Changes
Google no longer supports sign-in from this version of SketchUp. If you don't use "Sign in with Google", continue to Trimble Sign-In.
If you wish to continue using this version you must migrate to Trimble Sign-In by creating a Trimble password. If you prefer to use "Sign in with Google", you will need to upgrade SketchUp.
      Continue to Trimble Sign-In
      Create Trimble Password
      Upgrade SketchUp
Not sure? Check out our FAQ

@@leonardorser3455 because I have both pro 2018 and Make 2017 on my laptop I can’t try to re-download, but I suggest the following: go to help.sketchup.com/en/downloading-older-versions once there, try to download SketchUp Make 2017 if that works, then try to download the timber framing extension. If that’s what you did and it still didn’t work, then you may be correct that they have made it impossible unless you pay.

@@bigbeamstimberframes770 I am having the same issues. From the sign in page it will not move forward to allow sign-up or sign-in.

Lost my laptop with Sketchup make 2017 for Windows 7 to a coffee spill. Trimble no longer allows downloads of this software for Windows 10 or 7. Any Ideas what to do? I am in the middle of a project and need to produce shop drawings? Can't afford Pro, I am just a person, not a company.

I would try doing a search for “Sketchup older versions” and try to find
2017 Make that way. I don’t believe they list it on their main page but hopefully you can still find it by searching for older versions
