      It is not the technology; it is the war experience. Our troops have the most experience, because we are always in something, look at the generations and see which American Generation has no war experience. LOL, they all do. Technology and experience being passed down gives us the edge. Just like the Israelis, also unlike most other nations enlisted, we are trained to go on the offensive if our officers die. Believe it or not as a Navy Combat Corpsman (we take care of Sailors and Mariens), I can testify, if you kill the unit's dog, corpsman/medic the Geniva convention becomes a check off list of things that WILL happen to the other side.
      The American Officers actually hold back the troops from taking it too far. I know, once I was hurt and those Devil Dogs aka Mariens almost went full ham on the other guys. I quickly reassured my Mariens I was ok, and they still wanted to end them. Ask any corpsman/medic. As a veteran, I still keep my skills sharp. I gather with other veterans, and we practice what we learn and do our best to keep our skills. Believe me we don't want any other country to have its boots step on our land, but we glady will with our civilian counterparts will happily give them hell. I am not a civilian, no disrespect to my fellow country man, I am a American Veteran, I no longer do what I once did, gladly I would take up the call if need be. When the bells ring we answer.

      @@richardchaney9187 Mhm, its not even a joke, our obesity is actually considered a national security threat. For context to those who didn't already know this fact, reason why its considered THAT bad is because of the demographics of people who tend to be obese. Poor Americans are the most likely to be obese, which is a problem because historically the United States relied on the poor to fill in gaps in the military, nowadays these people even if they want to actually serve are considered inelligible to do so.
      Its also why many people who follow the United States military will notice they've been doing ALOT of pandering (and being bad at it) to gamers, as gamers aren't suffering the same obesity issue to the same degree as their other usual target demographics, as well as being typically very young, making it the next best thing they got to work with

    • @John2r1
      @John2r1 5 месяцев назад

      Fun fact when Trump or any US president tells NATO countries to pay their fair share that they agreed to which is a minimum of 2% of GDP on defense. It isn't going to the US or to NATO as if it were a country. It's literally telling other countries that are members that they are lacking in defense and to build up their own military forces to the NATO charter standard they already agreed to.
      The Media spins that to the US president telling NATO they have to pay more for protection. Which the president actually said you have to spend more on your own defense or we aren't going to play security guard for you anymore. A lot of NATO members take advantage of the US when it comes to defense and neglect their own national defense. Thinking American will save me if a major problem breaks out. It's an over reliance on a military that is already stretched around the world.
      So the saying don't shoot the messenger kind of applies when Trump said basically I looked at the books I know what your GDP has been year over year and your not paying the agreed amount for membership. That's going to stop now. Your going to start pulling your own weight in this alliance.

    • @PiousSlayer
      @PiousSlayer 6 месяцев назад +43

      Yeah, China also tries to classify non military boats as military ships, which also inflates their numbers dramatically. Russia's tanks are mostly older as well and their newer models aren't nearly as good as they say they are. US' stuff tends to be more modern and actually battle tested. Plus we're always coming out with new technology that will shape the future. (GPS, Internet, etc. were developed for the Military first and later released to the public sector.)

      North Korea's subs are really no threat. Their subs are 1950s/60s tech. Your hearing impaired Grampa can hear them coming. China isn't that much better. One of our Attack Subs started following a Chinese sub in the Taiwan Strait, and followed them for days, with no problem hearing them, without them ever knowing that the US sub was there.

    • @barneyfromblueshift

      Sort of - they have been converting these old diesel subs into ballistic missile platforms.

Every "comrade"/citizen is required to serve a designated number of years in the military there is no choice in it.. The U.S.'s soldiers choose to be in the service that makes a great difference in their willingness to fight. We do however have a Draft/Selective Service in place if we would be soldiers in the event of a war that our 1.6 million Soldiers and 800k Reserve Soldiers couldn't handle

    at 10:20 when your asking about "who the mastermind was" it wasn't really anyone. Before WW2 the US preferred isolation and focusing on our selves especially since we we're still struggling from the impact the great depression had on the US. Then on Dec 7th, 1941 our largest navel base was attacked, Pearl Harbor. That one act woke America up and made us take action. It took 1 day for congress to sign a formal declaration of war. This turned a broken and peaceful economy into a fully functioning wartime economy. By the time WW2 ended, America was one of the only remaining country that hadn't really felt the effects of WW2. We then helped rebuild the world along with many other countries. From that point on we we're to be remembered as the leading super power.

    When you're looking at numbers, it makes it sound like China and North Korea are superior in submarines, but you need to consider the level of technology. Russia was about 20 yrs behind the U.S. technology, China was 30 yrs, India was about 50-60 yrs behind. India has gotten better, and North Korea is getting even older obsolete equipment from China and Russia. Again, consider the level of tech and obsolete equipment when looking at these numbers. Hell, China was bragging about some new submarine they introduced a few years ago, and they failed to mention it was diesel. Soon after its inaugural voyage the U.S navy announced that the new sub was very loud, so loud in fact that they were able to follow only 150 ft behind this new Chinese sub from its port out to sea and back into port and the Chinese never noticed them over the sound of their new sub's operating sounds.

    • @Airihi
      @Airihi 5 месяцев назад

      @shaunfawcett8401 Yes, you're correct. They did introduce new tanks, but they're still not that great compared to everyone else's tanks. Lets not forget the time many years ago that North Korea said they were testing their newly developed nuclear weapon off the coast of South Korea, and it turned out to be an old submarine packed full of gunpowder. North Korea is one of the poorest countries in the world and has limited access to tank technology. Their new tanks were first unveiled during a military parade in 2020, but not till now were they able to be mass produced. Here's some of the issues with these new tanks. The launch tube is based on the 1970s Era Soviet 2A46 anti tank gun. Most tanks with the 2A46 barrell can also fire missles. Some experts looking at the videos of the tank barrell say there's indications that theirs might not be able to. There's two bulky Bulsea 3 anti tank missle launchers (similar to the 1997 introduced Russian Kornet missle) bolted to the outside of the turret, which is odd as why they would be needed if the gun barrel launches missles already. Most modern tanks use armor piercing rounds tipped in either tungsten or depleted uranium, North Korea is still using steel capped rounds. Their heavy machine gun at 14.5 mm is larger and more powerful, though, and some but not all of the tanks are equipped with a bank of surface to air missles in the rear. The machine gun upgrade and surface to air missles are most likely intended to negate the huge advantage that the U.S. and South Korea have in aerial firepower. Though, its very likely their aircraft would be able to fly beyond these tanks range and destroy them.

WW2 is what caused the USA to understand that we needed to be able to fight (and win) multi-theater wars. and this shaped the military doctrine that we have today. not only do have to be ready to kick ass, but we have to be ready to kick a lot of ass. our geographic isolation necessitated our transportation and cargo infrastructure (power projection). other countries fight neighbors. we have to travel across the world to fight, so we have to be able to get there, and do it quickly. so ultimately, it was Pearl Harbor that changed the game.

      There is some debate about whether Adm. Yamamoto said this or something like it.
      What he did say is, "I shall run wild considerably for the first six months or a year, but I have utterly no confidence for the second and third years."[21] His prediction would be validated, as Japan easily conquered territories and islands in Asia and the Pacific for the first six months of the war, before suffering a major defeat at the Battle of Midway on June 4-7, 1942, which ultimately tilted the balance of power in the Pacific toward the United States.
      This was based on the several years he spent in the United States as a student and then a military attaché. Traveling from Washington D.C. to San Francisco by train, Yamamoto saw endless farmland, huge cities hazed by the smoke of factories and tens of millions of people working. Hence his comments historical and possibly apocryphal.

      There is a reason that Trump's supporters are in the South and Midewst. It's the same reason that most of them still think that the 2020 election was rigged even though there wasn't any evidence of it.

Also, you are wrongly conflating education with intelligence. Just because someone is "educated" in the formal sense does not mean they are more intelligent. I'd argue that a welder or construction worker from a small town is much smarter than someone with a degree in communications or gender studies. There are certain areas where a degree is necessary, such as engineering or the sciences, but much of the American university system is superfluous. The idea that a college degree is absolutely necessary to succeed is a lie that the American people have bought into.
