Just so you know the salad leaves which looked weird is called Bingcao in Chinese (冰草 literally means iced grass), it's not a common vege across the whole country either but it's definitely a specialty in Yunnan Province. I've only simply guessed they offer it as a special kind in May for business class passengers as iced grass is quite rarely seen in Shanghai eventho I personally don't like it either🤣
Thank you for this interesting information. It was a really strange vegetable to eat. If I ever come across it again, at least I feel more confident now eating it :)
Although I'm a big fan of this cabin color, I don't think it's particularly stain resistant. Also, MU's in-flight food is always considered mediocre in China, especially for long-haul business and first class. Maybe their noodle dishes and various dumplings etc. are relatively consistent and of high quality, but the presentation of other dishes and rice dishes is only average.
Good video. Seat looked comfortable enough (for people who are not exceptionally tall) and the food reasonable. The headphones and IFE look rather disappointing - probably best to bring own films etc. $1200 is a very good price for SIN-PVG-MAD in business. That's the key....much lower price, not the full luxurious experience.
I flew China Eastern on 777-300 from PVG to Auckland in Economy (review on my channel) nice interior colors, the business class product looked a little cramped. The A350 looks far better. Great review :)
Interesting video. Like you, I have flown many airlines around the world, but I don't have experience with Chinese carriers, thus this video was "extra" interesting for me. Im thinking the carrier chose a fabric for their seats that does not age well. Oh, and I giggled at your use of the word privacy. Privacy is British English and Priiiiiivacy is American English. I grew up with a British mother, and an American father 😂😂😂. Thanks again for an insightful video👌
Greetings my friend! Isn’t the A350 a beautiful ride? I love it. Wow I would have to agree that using paper is very 3rd class and the portions look small. You made me laugh out loud when I saw the expression on your face when you ate the green salad, I have no idea what that was either. Ice cream is always frozen solid because we keep it on dry ice and it’s kept in a extremely low freezer in the flight kitchens before it’s transferred, we would usually would take it out and let it sit a while before we were ready to serve it.. good to see you … stay well and Good Bless you and your Family…….. …. .. .. ->-
Greetings and thank you for the interesting fact about the ice cream being kept on dry ice. That makes sense, and I suppose the only 1 or 2 times it wasn’t rock solid, I guess it was because they took it out ahead of time while before serving. Like you say. Have a great day 🙏
I just flew with China eastern from Shanghai to Amsterdam 3 days ago. I paid more than €2000 for the business class. You paid only 1200 dollars for it, seriously? How did you get that deal?
It was from Singapore to Madrid via Shanghai. I noticed that it is sometimes cheaper to combine a business class flight with a feeder flight. Example: Zurich to Shanghai with Swiss is much more expensive than Paris - Zurich - Shanghai with Swiss, since they want to capture the french market with their feeder flight to Zurich. Maybe China Eastern applies the same principle, or I was just lucky and got a promotional fare.
Great review, well done! So in the UK we say "prɪvəsɪ" while in the US they usually say "ˈpraɪvəsɪ]" - it's a little weird but you can feel free to use both!
Beautiful Air Craft And Cabin.Great Video Info
Thank you very much

Thank you for sharing your experience again with us. I liked the hard product very much but they can improve the soft product.

the hardware of China Eastern A350 looks absolutely nice
I agree. It’s smaller than it looks on the pictures, but still very nice. And I‘m tall ;-)

Did you say they had extra legroom business class seats at the front cabin ?
Yes, and also wider foot space. It‘s at an extra charge though.
