- Blackwall Chompers at the Swan River.
Tailor fishing on my kayak again haven't been here in 5 months so decided to see how the Tailor are fairing out. So many chopper tailor caught, so will be interesting how the summer months will produce. Having a ball then got the dreaded call from work which killed my ZEN.

Conditions looked lovely, I went out in the ocean on Saturday morning with my daughter and she bagged out on snook, a few herring, and a goat fish. She had a ball!!!

There are an amazing number of keyring sized tailor in the river atm.
There sure is buddy haven't fish there for the last 5 months but had to check it out and see what's happening. Couldn't fish the sand bank at Point Walter, raging easterly blowing through. Hopefully next time😁🤙🎣🐟♥️🎥
1997 Belmont Race Course leaked 600 Ltd of pesticide into the river and decimated populations. Just great to see fish in a river that services a capital city. Not a lot of cities can boast this. The prawns never really returned. Great that you can get a feed
Hey Stuart I remember 1997 my friend and it was a tough time on the Swan, I'm so glad it bounced back. As for prawns I remember pulling the nets in the shallows😍 bags the shallow end 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@SaltyFishosStaySalty ha... Yeah. True. I used to live in N Freo. I used to go at Johanna St. Went back for a drag around 2004 and got 2. Used to get a feed for the family with a few crabs and maybe a cobbler. Good times

Blackwall is an awesome spot. Fished there along with Canning River bridge quite a few times, and yet to hook a legal size Chopper Tailor. got close but always just short Work just sucks dont it. Good to know there a plenty in the river, just need sizes a bit bigger

I'm the same only hook a few size Tailor from Blackwall but I'm sure there's some big boys lurking around. Otherwise a great place to chill and take it all in😁🙏🤙🎣🐟🎥♥️
