- I had an opportunity to get out for a quick shore bash after work. The wind was cranking onshore so I went and found some sheltered flats tucked away. Safe to say it was an unusual session filled with some firsts I never even knew I had to tick off!

Rest the squid on jetty - much easier to release with less weight pulling on hooks. Nice video !
Nice video , I love fishing the swan , normally from a Kayak . thanks for the upload . I'm a Zman lure fan
Thanks! They are definitely one of my favourite lure manufacturers 🙌🏼
great video mate! really enjoyed it
Thanks mate! I appreciate the feedback.
Loving your vids mate!
Thanks! Hopefully more to come very soon 🤙🏼 Your channel looks great too 👍🏼
@@baytobluewater8165 cheers mate, looking forward to new vids
What size jig heads were you using,.?
Great to see fishing in Perth. Starting to get back into it myself.
The swan is the perfect place to start 🙌🏼
@@baytobluewater8165 reckon you could recommend a place. Taking the kids fishing for their first time. After a quiet type spot thats pretty safe for kids with a decent chance of catching something. Will be using bait as the kids are about. I usually use lures tho. River that is.
Finding a quiet spot is definitely a challenge at this time of year. If you fish downriver there are dozens of jetties which are great for kids. You’ll also have plenty of species available like flathead, flounder, tailor, whiting etc. If you head upriver then you’ll be targeting mainly black bream. There are lots of big reserves scattered along the banks and they have plenty of space to spread out and find your own bit of shoreline to fish from. Jump on google maps with the satellite view and have a look along your closest area and you’ll come across a heap of little spots that you can fish from.
....I live in central Oz and two summers ago was the first time I had gone fishing in any meaningful way since the early 80s.
And I'm hooked. Now I watch fishing videos....usually along the southern waters in S.A. Vic and W.A.....and look forward to any trip we go south or to the southern coasts.
@@1969cmp what are ya doing without any water😂😂
Where is this spot?
Great spot at the end there...I've picked up about a dozen really good 43cm and bigger flatties there over the last 2 weeks.
Where abouts just before Bicton baths?
....I have been told that we are going to WA for Christmas...so it will be an opportunity to go fishing there for the first time. Cheers from central Oz who goes fishing about once a year....if I'm lucky 🤗
There are plenty of great places to wet a line along our coastline. We’re pretty lucky over here 🙌🏼
@@baytobluewater8165 ...yeah, if I was completely sold out to fishing I could travel the Eyre Peninsula across the to west, south west WA and up to Geraldton, Kalbarri and the Kimberly coast. That would be neat.
LSL comes up in three years 😁
Amazing video can’t believe you caught a squid were on the river we’re you when you caught the squid 🦑
Thanks! This was all in the lower reaches of the swan.
Squid not uncommon there
where did you go fishing in this vid
Haha on the squid.
Ive caught a flatty on a squid jig.
Nice it’s opposite day
My first time to see squid caught on lures. Fantastic vid mate. Do flatties tastes good?
Yeah I was pretty surprised! Flatties are up there as one of my favourite bread and butter species 🤤
Ive seen a couple just the same size in the same spot bro. Wouldn't surprise me if they are mating.
Where is this?
didn't know blowfish attacked soft plastics
Where is this spot? I want to try it out :D
Get back to me if you can
Hey mate, this is all along the lower reaches of the Swan River. If you go for an explore you’ll find plenty of great locations to try 👍🏼
Thanks!
They all tell you what rod and reel they’re using but never the thing you really need to know.
Be careful walking in the river don’t wanna step on a Cobler
