This season was so fantastic! I can't understand the haters. The scenes between Charles Edwards and Charlie Vickers were so intense. They should get all the awards. Looking forward to season 3!
This season has been exceptional. The deliberate naysayers are a lot quieter lately too. One of the best things about this series is you guys enjoying it just as much as we do. Can't wait for more, along with your reactions.
My favourite episode, everyone's acting was fantastic, the visuals were great, pacing brilliant... Still not keen on the Stranger being Gandalf, but hey, overall a 9/10
Fun fact Elendil isn't the founder of Gondor, Isildur and his brother Anarion founded that kingdom, whilst Elendil founded the Kingdom of Arnor in the north, around the lands that eventually made up the shire/bree land, their surrounding territories
Thank you two for reacting to this series! I looked out every Tuesday waiting for it to drop, you guys are such fun! It was an amazing season! I can't wait for your reactions to return for season 3! ❤
A note on the word Hobbit at the end: they should have the rights to it due to having the 4 main books. Concerning Hobbits, in the prologue of the LotR book, states Hobbits are comprised of Fallohides, Stoors and Harfoots, and we later learn that the term “Hobbit” stems from the Rohirrim word “Holbytla” which mean “hole-dweller.” And They aren’t one group of mostly hole-dwellers yet.
Really can't wait for season 3 This season was Amazing! The Balrog 🔥 The Actor who played Celebrimbor deserves an Award!!! As always enjoy your guys reaction 🤘
Charlie Vickers (Sauron) said in an interview that there is a possibility that we will see Sauron using Celebrimbors body to inflict more pain on the elves in season 3. But he also said, he doesn't know yet ;)
@50:47 The highest any human has fallen without a parachute, or any help, and SURVIVED is a woman who fell over 33,000 ft. It took her a year and four months to recover. @58:00 Nori’s name is Eleanor. That is what the flowers of Loth Lorien are named. I can imagine the hobbits living as River folk at the end of the season - where Sméagol steals the one ring.
Be careful what you wish for re: Celebrimbor's body, they may stick with the written lore on that one. They've also got to find some Fallowhides before they can get combine to become Hobbits.
Great reaction and I'll miss the weekly shows, which I've really enjoyed. The valley is Rivendell. There's image comparisons of it versus the film and they're almost identical. The crown is Morgoth's and like you say, it's potentially going to be used to make the Nazgul morgul blades. Kemen is likely to become a Nazgul, the same with Balthazar and there's one other Numenorian who gets a ring. The mouth of Sauron is also a Numenorian. Theo i think will be the King of the Dead and maybe the guy with with the silly felt hat will be a nazgul as he's a leader of a lot of the men. As for the witch king, i think that will be the dark wizard, as that was apparently an idea that Tolkien once had. As for Arondir, i suspect he was healed by Gil Galad. There were apparently a bunch of scenes removed that we didn't see due to pacing. Anyway, terrific spending the time with you both. Thanks.
"My old friend", hates hobbits. Yep that's Sour man, to antagonize, challenge his ideas of morality, but never appear as quite evil to our Grand Elf. And thus it was, in her last scene of Season 2, she became Galadriel - Lady of Light.
So sad, yet so happy to be here at the end (of season 2) with you all! Truly appreciated both of your thoughts and opinions on the show and loved you didn't sh*t on the show like it seemed most others did
There have been speculations that Theo may end up betraying Isildur and become the King of the Dead and Kemen could possibly become The Mouth of Sauron.
Gil Galad was just a few meters away from Arondir, and he has a healing ring, there is probably a deleted scene of him saving Arondir, but the makers of the show probably thought that since there was already a scene of Galadriel healing the cartographer elf, and also, later, a scene of Gil Galad trying to heal her with his ring, there was no need to show the healing of Arondir... But there is a point to make that they may have been wrong to remove that scene (if it does exist), because not everybody is smart enough to play connect the dots.
If they have that scene, or however else he survived, it could’ve been also cut for other reasons. Maybe pacing, tightness of the episode with other stories, emotion, who knows. It helps that he wasn’t shown fully dead last episode, at least, so there is some wiggle room perhaps, and for now it’s just a possible continuity error. I do think they could’ve left something in there to actually indicate it though, even if not shown. Heck, maybe Adar didn’t even fully go for the kill with him due to their interactions in season 1 🤷🏻♂️ I would agree on it being a mistake between the two episodes, but I can see room to have it work.
@@davidbeer5015 oh, i totally think that if such a scene exists, it was removed for pacing, but you don't remove a scene for pacing if the scene is necessary to understand the story, which means that is such a scene was removed, that's because the director/editor/showrunner thought that other scenes were enough for the audience to understand that plot point. And as i said, there was already a scene in episode 4 where an elf was healed by one of the three elven rings, and there was a scene in episode 8 where Gil Galad and Elrond are healing a much worse wound with 2 of those rings. I think that the makers of the show thought something like "well, there's no need to show Arondir being healed, the episode is long enough and we are giving the audience enough to understand what happened". But there's a real question as wether they were right or not... this show tends to overestimate the intelligence of its viewers, and it may be a mistake.
Overall loved the season but feel finale was a bit rushed in places. Bring back more episodes for seasons of tv for the love of all that is good. Let storylines breathe dammit Cried at Durins bane and Celebrimbors final scenes 😭 Really hate Adars death scene and hkw Galadriel just stood there Also season 2 only works as well because season 1 set up all the things it did
Whether this changes or not, if it’s any comfort, the showrunners have said that it would be nigh impossible for the Dark Wizard to be Saruman. Man, I cannot get over how beautiful some of these moments were. The Durins, Celebrimbor’s death, the ending shot…So much good stuff, imo.
My phone won’t let me edit, but: No, we haven’t met Anarion, but he was named last season in the first conversation Isildur had with Elendil in ep 3 as having “deferred” from the Sea Guard and went West.
The Balrog scene was epic, and having Olorin/Gandalf arrive in the 2nd Age helps viewers understand that he's essentially a guardian Angel who has aided Elves since their beginning. But the Isildur/Estrid romance is VERY BAD. Her being betrothed to another man is serious, especially in Tolkien and in the ancient cultures his works borrow many of their aspects from. violation of an oath is deadly business, and betrothal & marital oaths recognized as among the most Sacred oaths possible. In courting Estrid, Isildur is showing a disposition to choose what pleases his flesh over what is right, as he will with the ring. The betrothed will probably be the dimmerburg dead king, cause turnabout.
Charles Edwards and Charlie Vickers. Give them all the awards, their pick of any roles they want. Give them everything. Good Christ
That moment with the balrog is one of the most epic things I’ve ever seen
Twisting the title of Lord of the Rings into a mockery of his dependence on their power is brilliant.
Charles Edwards performance this season is fantastic, I'm truly gonna miss his Celebrimbor
This season was so fantastic! I can't understand the haters. The scenes between Charles Edwards and Charlie Vickers were so intense. They should get all the awards. Looking forward to season 3!
I love the moment with Elendil and Narsil. It mirrors Aragorn's moment with Anduril.
This season has been exceptional. The deliberate naysayers are a lot quieter lately too.
One of the best things about this series is you guys enjoying it just as much as we do.
Can't wait for more, along with your reactions.
Well done indeed! , Hera spotting the Staff, thrown away by Nore.👍🏽👍🏽 This was by far the best episode!!
My favourite episode, everyone's acting was fantastic, the visuals were great, pacing brilliant... Still not keen on the Stranger being Gandalf, but hey, overall a 9/10

Thank you two for reacting to this series! I looked out every Tuesday waiting for it to drop, you guys are such fun!
It was an amazing season! I can't wait for your reactions to return for season 3! ❤
Such a good episode concluding such a good season! I’ve been eagerly awaiting your reaction, and it didn’t disappoint.
"It's weird we never saw Celebrimbor's body..." (cue Celebrimbanner next season...)
This season was amazing
14:40 what i love about this scene is that it shows that no amount of heroic courage is getting the elves out of this catastrophe

I really loved seeing the founding of Rivendell *so* much.
In the end pity does kill Sauron. Pity for Gollum
Yes individuals seeing the light in others and not the darkness 💪🏾 (as celebrimbor said)
sauron didnt die. he is immortal being.
Charlie Vickers (Sauron) said in an interview that there is a possibility that we will see Sauron using Celebrimbors body to inflict more pain on the elves in season 3. But he also said, he doesn't know yet ;)

Celebrimbors body wasnt seen... because ... SPOILER : its taken as a war trophy and used as a banner for the army of sauron
Yes! This season was SO good! Really looking forward to the next one. Thanks for all the great reactions guys... You make my day every time ❤❤
that cold open was *chef's kiss*
14:34 "after ALL that?! That's like me playing call of duty" literally made me laugh out loud 😂😂😂
Be careful what you wish for re: Celebrimbor's body, they may stick with the written lore on that one.

40:07 I loled at the idea of Sauron's shocked little "What do you mean, eww?!"
An absolutely phenomenal season finale!
Perfect thx both😁
I loved this season! By the way, the etymology of Hobbit is from holbytla, an old Rohirric word from when the halflings traveled the Vales of Anduin.
My favourite ROP Reactors 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
6:23 if this scene doesn’t get painted on the side of a sliding door van imma be really disappointed 😂😂🤣

Durin clashing with The Balrog....Whopper.
There have been speculations that Theo may end up betraying Isildur and become the King of the Dead and Kemen could possibly become The Mouth of Sauron.
I'm so mad they killed Adar
he was the most interesting character
Yeh - season 2&3 for Willow 🌱
How did Arondir survive his very deadly stab wound? He was just fine when we saw him again. 😅
Let's just say that Eru Iluvatar did it...nothing else makes sense. 🤣

What a great season and don't worry we'll see Celebrimbor's body but you're not gonna like it
