I'm sure I'm not the only one to point out this song was written by Sheeran, Rudimental and a couple of Snow Patrol guys. I hope it sounded better live than here as the studio version is superb and usually Rudimental are spot on.
I was wondering if it was necessary to interrupt Ed once he had already started his song. The reason, audience needs to clap, yell and show more enthusiasm for Rudimental & Ed playing this song together. What? Could just call this collaboration as Ed & RUDE playing. Can someone give me the short version about the dude running around with a mic. Clearly he doesn't sing or play an instrument. Don't get me wrong, he seems very upbeat, always smiling & jumping around, so very positive force on stage. But, there has to be more to it.
***** Rewinding tracks is a very common thing to do in Drum and Bass mixing. Whether he meant to or not it kind of plays to the Drum and Bass feel of the track. I would suggest reading up about their band to see who he is I'm afraid I don't know so won't pretend to :-)

It sounds like the bass, and a few other synths are a half step lower than the live instruments. I wonder how that happened!

The middle bit with the beat thing is very very hard to listen to. The live performance was played good, but not synced very well. And the parts does not go together very well

Ed really is a one man show and this live performance kills the song for me. The studio version of this collaboration sounds so different to me though. I will say that his live versions alone somehow always end up faster paced than his recordings. His performance on an awards show (forget which) when he played with John Mayer, Herbie Hancock with Quest Love on drums was incredible. His is such an amazing talent that i watch his performances knowing they will be as epic as the ones from the 60's. He may not promote social change

You can clearly see tha Ed is not enjoying playing with them as much as he enjoys playing the loop pedal version, which is 100 times better than this one. To be fair, i think that is mainly due to the bad quality of the video (or recording), its just off sync and sounds just off.
