I played guitar and even tried some Bach, but I was always restless, and I admire people that have the inner peace to make music like this, the discipline to learn it, the investment it takes to finally be able to reach this level, it can make me cry if I see the distance between this genius and me. This man maybe studied all his life to be this good, I'm a huge fan. I don't listen enough, because its always so confronting. I thought after Jon Williams, noone else could do it. But Drew blew me away every time. Every note, every touch, is so perfect, with feeling, its amazing. You need a lot of skills to first be able to do it, and then add the personal emotion. I highly respect you Drew! You are from another planet! ;)
This is stunning and will be invaluable for guiding my own performance/interpretation of these pieces - clear balanced tone, sensitive dynamics and rubato, and flawless execution. Bravo Dude. Big Ups...
Just incredible! What artistry…Bravo! And thank you for the informative notes; would love to hear you and the mentioned company of scholars/performers discuss these etudes and Regondi’s career. Podcast episode?
Every time I was practicing and thought it might be time to take a break, I would open Drew's inspirational videos and start practicing with renewed vigor. I really like how clean your sound is, and every note is premeditated and logical ❤
A phenomenal performance of brilliant compositions performed by a phenomenal guitarist. Thank you, Mr. Henderson, Your tone, articulation, and virtuosity are wonderful.
Sounded great on your Romantic guitar, David! I've been listening to David Starobin and Federica Canta's Regondi CD's lately, and you came up in search. Going to share this with my friend Todd too, because he went to Appalachian State.
That extra string can move above the neck like it’s seen here, or above the fingerboard if you want to fret it. When it’s floating, it has some extra length and can go lower. Also, it seems easier to mute. I just like it out of the way though!
Hmm, good question. I’ve always liked the first one because it’s so elegant and fits the guitar so well. The 6th I gravitated towards because I played it a long time ago and remembered liking it a lot. It was actually for the GFA competition which Matanya was most likely at (never met him though). Many of the others require a lot more work per measure than I was prepared to invest at that time, especially since I’ve got a lot of Bach taking the bulk of my attention.

C'est formidable
Ay que bonito me encanta!
beautiful. thank you. also, that’s an interesting guitar
amazing more videos plz
It is interesting but the most clear phrasing what I've ever heard is Drew's music. And the most smooth tone of guitar alsa.
Man, that tone is so creamyyyyyyy
Come to the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg to a concert. Small Concerthall.
YES
Grande talento!
Браво!
Hi Drew, why is there a bigger gap between the extra string and the others?
That extra string can move above the neck like it’s seen here, or above the fingerboard if you want to fret it. When it’s floating, it has some extra length and can go lower. Also, it seems easier to mute. I just like it out of the way though!
Fantastic! Any special reason behind the choice of these two?

Wonderful…which strings are you using on this guitar?
Thank you! I like Augustine classic Red on the Romantic guitar,
Who arranged the etudes?
They are originally for guitar. Some of the best, but brutal on the left hand.
Master guitarist
WOW!!!!!
Eccellente!

Reminds me a bit of the Narcos theme tune
Yeah actually it has a similar chord progression. Good ear!
Someone get this man a job playing guitar!
