- Went up into the snowies in search of a few trout for the smoker, the lake didn't disappoint again !! Historically, the smoking of meat dates back to when people first lived in caves. It was one of the first food preparation techniques. Smoking is a method of cooking meat and other foods over a fire. Wood chips are added to the fire to give a smoky flavor to the food.
Cold smoking differs from hot smoking in that the food remains raw, rather than cooked, throughout the smoking process
Hot smoking requires the use of a smoker which generates heat either from a charcoal base, heated element within the smoker or from a stove-top or oven; food is hot smoked by cooking and flavored with wood smoke simultaneously.

That ramp looked a bit like Old Adaminiby (my great grandfather is buried in the cemetry), although they probably all look alike on the lakes of the Snowys.

@@ChrisBamman79 mealworms work a treat as well ,a great project for the kids ..they stay in the worm stage for up to a year …your chickens will love 10 or so each a couple of times a week as they are a protein hit ,birds love them as well ..they are composting machines

At 10:27 looks like a Red Necked Wallaby, they look similar to a Swamp Wallaby. You’re lucky to get so close, they’re pretty timid.
yeah those ones usually are real flighty, had a good wind at that point and I don't reckon they have very good eyesight :)

Good video, but I always like a little narrative in there. Such as how good those ribs must have been, or how fun it is to get a nice fish, etc....

Hello Chris 👋 l don't think lve left a comment the last two videos,not been very sociable due to back,hips and knee pain.BUT you no l love your videos and this one was no exception.What a great fishing spot,my dad's favourite fishing is for this fish,and you got some cracking ones 👌 bet you'll go back there again.Wish we could have some of your cooler weather as the heatwave has definitely taken its toll on my allotment.l have no shade on my allotment so I'll be putting some shading over it next year just like you do.We water every night but 80 percent of my veg is burnt to a crisp.Think the spare ribs has to be my favourite on your vids
sorry to hear you've been crook mate :( I've been reading about the heat wave you guys are having up there and bet its been horrible, it sucks watching crops suffer and die with nothing you can do, I had to build some shade systems to stop my summer crops getting smoked too :) hope you feeling heaps better soon and that winter veggies produce more joy :)
