This build made me wish we had "mixed use" lots so you could have playable retail and residential in the same build. The third floor of the brownstone would make such a fun apartment. Really pretty build, Jessica!
I think LittleMissSam also has a mod for this, it’s called Live in Businesses or something like that. It works as a lot trait that you can add to a residential lot so that sims can live there and then have the same functionality as other types of lots.
Yes thrift stores here can be a blessing, esp for moms with growing children! My eight year old grows SO fast that it makes no sense to buy name brand things when I can go to the thrift store and buy something cheaper. I'm assuming since they're called "charity ships" in the UK that means some of those proceeds go to a charity? Not quite sure, but I know here where I am locally we have a small chain called Miracle Hill Thrift Stores where some of the proceeds go towards homeless shelters for women and children AND if they receive nicer clothing they take that the shelters as well. I always donate things there that I have no need for anymore. Regarding your build, however, cause that's kinda why we're here :) Love it. As always, thanks for sharing your brain full of creative ideas!! I always enjoy it
I absolutely agree on everything you said about the Social Media thing and the Phone System!! Omg, it drives me crazy trying to navigate both. Also this might be unpopular, but I feel this way with the social interactions in game too. Finding a specific interaction is like a puzzle now 😂
Yep, here in America, California to be specific, our thrift shops are just racks and racks of clothing that were used by someone else that people can pick up cheaper than usual store shipped clothes. 👍
I think charity shop and thrift store is the same thing! I used to search charity shop on google maps when looking for thrifted items when i studied abroad and it was the same experience usually. However most of the shops i did go to seem to be more expensive than stores in the US and most of the stores i found were vintage stores with curated clothes that cost way more than a normal thrift.
I’m the same exact way about community lots! I’ll only travel/sit through loading screens to ones that have a lot to do. 😂 My Sims go to your spa country club all the time. This build is fantastic. Can’t wait to download. Thanks again for sharing your talent with us!
I swear this had to be my 60th attempt to watch this darn video but I always fall asleep before the end 😭 I just want to see the darn thing!! 😂 it’s beautiful but I watch it when I lay down at night and it never fails I fall asleep lol.
Litteraly obsessed with ur builds and videos lately, been hardcore binge watching ur videos and ur ideas are just so inspiring! Also yes, as an american, a thrift shop is the same as a charity shop lol
While I do love the items that look new, I really appreciate the items that look more used and worn down. I wish they had more dead plants. Not everyone has a green thumb and plants that look like their on their last leg give a more realistic look. 😁 Love all your builds 😊
I would LOVE to see you do more community builds like this one (and more cc builds bc i love your cc taste). I find it so funny that you say you struggle with these because they always turn out so beautiful
Yes, a thrift shop and a charity shop sound the same, in fact many thrift shops are run by charity organizations like The Salvation Army or Goodwill. There are also some resale shops that are like mini flea markets with lots of individual vendors.
Charity Shops give the money to charity while in a Thrift Shops the money goes to the owner of the store or the person who rents a space to sell stuff in the store. In the US we have both.
The way I understand it, thrift shops are an umbrella term, and charity shops are under that umbrella, but there are also ones that you sell things cheaply to and then the items are resold. One of the most popular examples I can think of that isn't charity is Game Stop. They sell some things new, but mostly it's used games that people go sell to them for store credit. Then there are pawn shops which are different but similar, where people can use items as collateral for a loan and if they don't come back in a certain amount of time to pay the loan, the items are put up for sale.
I think charity shops and thrift stores are the same. great job on the laundry, looks like realistic one from my area. Good job researching how to make things realistic, love the builds always!!
Yess a revamp of the social media needs to be done. They need an easier way for sims to scroll through social media and moodlets. And an easy way yo become a youtuber or even watch youtube/tik tok on their phone
Hurray!! I get to find a spot for another Jessicapie build.. You are such a talented builder.. I enjoy going through your gallery all the time to find different builds of yours to use in my game play..
A dealership would be interesting. No one could buy a car, but the inspiration is there. A son that inherits the lot but doesnt know a thing about sales.
Well I think you smashed it Jess 👌🏽🫶🏽 I would love to see you build more community lots as I think you did great! I adore all of your builds, you’re very talented xx
I Love your builds Jessica, Thank you for sharing. I have your huge high school in my game its so fun. and I will be definitely downloading this awesome Boba tea, nail and thrift shop and more its cool and its very much needed in my game. wish the sims team would let us have multiple functioning shops like they did in sims 3. Im from the UK also, but when i went over to the USA, the thrift shops/stores are just what we call charity shiops over here, but just way bigger than what we have but like you said its just like aubergine eggplant the name is different thats all :)
Highschool musical, Jessica????!!! 😅 I love your builds and your voiceover. I will follow you until I no longer remember how to turn my computer on! ❤❤❤
...ee Im pretty sure charity shops hire mostly peoples with difficulties in life and the incom from them goes into charity... Items in shop been donated for free as well. Trift stores are not doing none of those things as "must" (Btw that goes without saying... But its really cool build ❤️)
I think charity shops are usually non-profit whereas thrift stores are for profit. Sure, both sell 2nd hand items, but charity shops use the money they make off those sales to sustain other services they offer.
This build made me wish we had "mixed use" lots so you could have playable retail and residential in the same build. The third floor of the brownstone would make such a fun apartment. Really pretty build, Jessica!
Wish we had this too, at least with mods you can!
Zerbu has a mod for that, it's called Spawn Refresh
@@Rinchan181 Thanks for the recommendation.
I think LittleMissSam also has a mod for this, it’s called Live in Businesses or something like that. It works as a lot trait that you can add to a residential lot so that sims can live there and then have the same functionality as other types of lots.
They could do it like the rental lots where yes it's the same property but you separate each designated area

Boba, thrift, clean the thrifted clothes at the laundry then nails …sounds like the perfect self care day 😂
I absolutely agree on everything you said about the Social Media thing and the Phone System!! Omg, it drives me crazy trying to navigate both. Also this might be unpopular, but I feel this way with the social interactions in game too. Finding a specific interaction is like a puzzle now 😂
Literally!! I've got to pause the game just to introduce myself or hire a service 😭
You’re still the only sims creator that makes buildings I’ve personally downloaded and used. Your stuff always blows me away!
Yep, here in America, California to be specific, our thrift shops are just racks and racks of clothing that were used by someone else that people can pick up cheaper than usual store shipped clothes. 👍
i just dropped everything to watch this omg
drop everything now
🥹 appreciate you! 🤍
I love when ppl make multi-purpose lots like this. I have mods that make them fully functional
can you list those mods please? i want to make my multi-purpose lots fully functional too!
@@quenchedyt sure
Auto employee- little Ms Sam
Spawn refresh- zerbu
You can use either of them or both.
The way that building games can make you really good at it. 😮

Ah I hope you like my country club! I often visit myself in gameplay 😅 thank you! 🥰🫶🏼

the extra room can also be used as a cheer practice room and you can use the club door to keep it locked so non cheer members can’t come in!
Good idea!

Yes! Would love some plants that need some love in the game for the realism!
I just love how you take the time to make things look so realistic 😍😍
Don’t doubt yourself with community lots! I know it is easier said than done but they are also stunning, babe!
As someone who loves your builds to hear you say community builds are daunting for you makes me happy. I’m not alone!!!! As always it’s beautiful!
I would LOVE to see you do more community builds like this one (and more cc builds bc i love your cc taste). I find it so funny that you say you struggle with these because they always turn out so beautiful

This is incredible, it will be the main community lot to visit with my sims since everything is in one place. ❤❤❤
every time u upload i get so excited; ur builds are always so inspiring! ur one of my favorite simmers everrr i wish ur videos were five hours long 💞
It would be interesting to see you incorporate a live edit building into a build like you tried, idk if it’s possible but it would be cool to see
ive found social bunny very very useful, it makes it alot easier to make teen friends fast

Oh! I love Shameless! 👌🏻 And this build, awesome idea 😍
I think charity shops and thrift stores are the same. great job on the laundry, looks like realistic one from my area. Good job researching how to make things realistic, love the builds always!!
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful and pretty house ❤❤❤it's really cottage but it's a cool house I JUST LOVE IT❤❤❤
Yess a revamp of the social media needs to be done. They need an easier way for sims to scroll through social media and moodlets. And an easy way yo become a youtuber or even watch youtube/tik tok on their phone
I love your attention to detail, adds so much realism!
Thank you so much!
I love your videos! They are so inspiring and I enjoy watching them when I'm working on my own builds.
Hahah I've used this exact reference image aswell, didn't turn out so good for me either so I changed it up a lot aswell
Hurray!! I get to find a spot for another Jessicapie build.. You are such a talented builder.. I enjoy going through your gallery all the time to find different builds of yours to use in my game play..

This is so stunning and detailed!! Love the shape and the colours 😍
Thank you so much!
Blooming brilliant as always. Mind blown by use of space!
😭😭 you’re just so talented!!!
Beautiful build! Fits perfectly in the world.
Love your builds! You're literally the best 😍

I love your videos so much your attention to detail is insane i’m obsessed
I like to build multifunctional lots as well.😊
ahh yess an upload! i always watch these videos to ease my anxiety
Can you build maybe a luxury mansion please? Xx
Well I think you smashed it Jess 👌🏽🫶🏽 I would love to see you build more community lots as I think you did great! I adore all of your builds, you’re very talented xx

Thank you so much!!
I immediately downloaded this, all your builds are wonderful! 🤩
Absolutely stunning 😍😍 though I’ve never gotten multi purpose lots to work for me
Highschool musical, Jessica????!!! 😅 I love your builds and your voiceover. I will follow you until I no longer remember how to turn my computer on! ❤❤❤
I loooove the nail salon!!!
Fantastic job!!
i feel the same way about the many different social media types in game LOL 😵💫
Pretty great built :)
in the middle of a hailstorm and dropped everything to see this video

omg i love shameless
This is very cool 😍
I wished you would do small tutorials of how you do builds with what ever you are using e.g T.O.O.L ???
I forgot what I was searching on google , saw this video on google underneath the search bar and came here to watch it first 😅
You have such a lovely imagination! Glad you found an outlet for it that you can use as a career 🩵
I honestly love your builds so much! Do you use a reshade by any chance and if so what one? 🥰
Absolut perfection!!! 😊
Thank you!! 😊
as soon as i saw the curtains enter the chat in the thrift store i was like "yup, thats an anthropology"
A thrift store and a charity shop are the same things basically you’re correct
Omg luv!❤🎉
Well we know it's not on the console. For a building game it loves to crash. Really on the console.😂😂😂😂
what reshades do you use if any? can't find a good one anywhere!!
can I ask why you use those pink bottles on the surfaces while placing clutter decorations?
How do you do the single open door?
I use a arch way and then a normal door to make it look open!
tbh i find all the social medias in the game are the same😭
This is amazing. Inspires me to build more commercial/retail lots 🤍
I’ve been waiting for another multipurpose lot 🥹 love this build !
🥰 thank you!
