  • Step-by-step guide on how to remove the tail light and change any of the tail light bulbs on Chevy Traverse ( 2009 | 2010 | 2011 | 2012 | 2013 | 2014 | 2015 | 2016 | 2017 | LS | LT | LTZ | 3.6 | AWD).
Removing and replacing tail light assembly on Traverse is quite easy. First you want to open the liftgate and then pop out two plastic covers on the tail light mounting screws. Then remove two mounting screws using ratchet and a 10mm socket. Try to pull taillight straight out. If it is still being held then tape a duct tape on the side of the tail light and gently pull straight. That way you will not crack it. Make sure not to pull the tail light to the side as you might brake the holding pin and possibly crack the tail light as well.
Once out unplug the electrical connector behind the tail light. Now you can completely replace the assembly or replace any of the burnt light bulbs by turning the bulb sockets counter clockwise.
    Thanks for watching.

Thank you for going over the options for pulling the light unit out. I probably would have broken something otherwise 😅.

Good video, however, the reverse light change is not here, and it's quite different.
