Good morning Juanita. Awesome job on your shrub. I agree that most people would just get rid of it if it doesn't seem to be doing well or has severe damage. I think it's going to do very well after all of the care it's received from you. Thank you for sharing your video my friend. Have a wonderful rest of your week.😊

What do you do for weed control? Old fashioned pulling by hand or chemicals? Not sure if one of your earlier videos talks about this. Enjoy your videos.

Hi user-hg1dt9hp5f, Thank you for watching. When I first moved into our home 17 years ago, I got some weeds, but mostly new growth from tree seedlings and from surrounding plants that were in the yard. After landscaping the yard and removing many of the plants and trees, that were either dead or I didn't want, working the ground and adding new soil and mulch in, I haven't had any issues with weeds. If I get any, they are mostly between the pavers and on the rock path between the large pergola and lawn which I generally pull up at the start of spring and as I see fit throughout the yard, which is not that often. I don't even get weeds of any sorts on the lawn. I believe the reason for not getting many weeds is because the previous owners had laid landscaping rock to minimize the yard work. So what might have helped. But certainly, laying lots of mulch down has helped a great deal with keeping weeds at bay. So heavy mulching is garden beds is something I would recommend. Hope that is of some help.
