Congratulations on your new fishroom Alex!! Been a fan of your work since 2017, and it's been a privilege to see your work through the years. I hope this opens more doors and helps support more of your YT content creation! Can't wait to see what you make
As you started talking about inspiring movies and books, Lord of the Rings immidiately came to my mind. I think especially elven architecture could be a great inspiration for a planted tank. Really looking forward to see your new scapes.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with. I absolutely enjoy planted tanks, so my first thought would be Avatar for a movie or my favorite children’s book growing up “Ferdinand “, specifically his favorite tree to sit under.
man, something Ghibli inspired would be neat. Something out of Nausicaa would've been amazing but I reckon quite difficult to replicate in an aquarium.
Fantastic concept, as always! I'm very excited for the next steps of this channel! Thinking of a "magical world" that would make a nice underwater scene, the Narnia series offers some beautiful backdrops:)
Here are some ideas Spiral Hill - Nightmare Before Christmas The Shire - Lord of the Rings Yoda's Swamp on Dagobah - Star Wars The road to Emerald City - The Wizard of Oz El Capitan in Yosemite National Park - Free Solo
The movie Sphere immediately came to mind! Although, in a way that movie borrows heavily and even includes bits from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea! Congrats on this new adventure!
This sounds like a great opportunity for you to incorporate "Taiwanese style" of aquascaping. The other types of aquascaping style are beautiful, too. But with the "Taiwanese style" you can use props, figurines, or items to represent certain inspirations. If you choose to go down this road I would like to hear back from you. Hopefully this inspires you even more. Have fun!
Was wondering where you've been, brother!! Happy to finally see an American aquascaper, sponsored by Ultum. Good stuff!! I'm a brand fanatic of UNS. Everything I have... All my tanks & filtration, lighting, Co2 regulators, soil, etc... Good luck with the fishroom
Alex, what an awesome endeavor! I am delighted to see Your future plans for Your channel. It will be great fun and very interesting, to see Your new ideas every month. Great choice regarding Your sponsor!
Most of my tanks seem to really take off and start looking great around the 90 day mark. It would crush me to have to start again on a new aquascape! At the same time, I am really looking forward to seeing your progression on this ambitious undertaking. Your content is some of the best there is.
I cant wait for the aquascapes that are to come. Please review the equipment as you go along, I bought an Fzone regulator but really wanted the UNS but as there wasn't too much info on them i just went cheap.
I would like to see how you would translate Wes Anderson’s aesthetic to an auqascape. If I had to call out a specific film naturally it would be “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.”
Congrats, Alex, on the start of a beautiful gallery! You've definitely got your work cut out for you and I wish you all the best. I'm curious about the films that have inspired you. There are so many cool landscapes in the Star Wars series, that comes to mind. Avatar as well (though the floating rocks have been done). Or a scene from Lord of the Rings? I look forward to seeing what inspires you.
What beautiful tanks! And a beautiful room! That unlevel but gorgeous parquet floor reminds of my 1940's Arlington apartment on 16th & Quinn. Too bad it's now a high rise. Those older buildings had tons of charm, just not much insulation. Videoing that third tank when it doesn't have wall behind the far right edge will be weird for lighting, won't it? Will you put a backscreen behind it while filming?
20 thousand leagues under the see - steampunk version… lol. That would be a dream tank aquascape for me… OR perhaps the forest moon of endor from Star Wars.
A classic Jurassic Park theme would be awesome.. maybe build the scape around a partially buried, hyper-realistic fossil, or try to replicate the overgrown research lab from the lost world? Perhaps you could take it a whole different direction and play on extinction by incorporating replica (fish-safe) trilobite fossils embedded in the substrate, with shrimp as the main inhabitants. This is going to be a fun series, I'm looking forward to what you come up with!
If I can give a suggestion, since you are really methodical guy, make one of them a Amazonic biotope, and make it run for an year, trying to simulate the 1year cycle of the amazons. With a very acidic blackwater to a crystal clear mare neutral pH .... Maybe even an paludarium the floods all the way eventually....
At the risk of sounding really geeky - I am a huge Star Trek fan, my favourite species are the Borg. I have always wished that the producers would have done a series just on the Borg, exploring their origins and what transpired that turned them into the fearsome destroyers of civilisations that they became....apart from that they and their and spaceships look really cool
Dude, RUclips just stopped putting tank tested in my feed, glad I manually came here, the 2 weeks late. Great news dude.
Alex, congrats on the sponsorship, looking forward to the journey, thank you from NYC
Nice quality blank canvases for you to work with, looking forward to your artistic creations. 🌿

A LOTR themed scape with the layout highlighting Cryptocoryne lutea 'Hobbit' would be so fun.
Include Frodo stone!
😍Looks very beautiful & crossing my fingers everything goes to your plan.🤞

Someone has gone Bananas!!! I'm jealous Alex!! It's going to be quite the show room when you get it completed. 👍😅

Beautiful beginnings

That’s awesome! I love your ideal for content and context. Ooooh I bet you could do a good degabah system with a pleco Yota!
A Zelda breath of the wild inspired aquascape would be amazing

Oh Alex is gonna make this epic........
Looking forward to the scales you will be creating. What brand lightscreens are those?
Two videos in the seven months since this video! C’mon, man! More videos! 😂

Awesome video!! Your channel seems really cool!! Just subbed too!!
Where’d you go, man?
how do you plan on cleaning the sides of the glass(outside)? thought id bring it up before you fill the tanks lol
Where did he go? Been 4 months.
Movies. Hmmm. Ok I’m going to make it challenging! How about - Tron (the original) or Dr Zhivago? If you can pull those off you’re a genius.
Haven't seen anything from you in a while. Hopefully all is well!
Amazing
ooo Avatar would be cool

@@thingamatorium8736 Star Trek Picard season 2 has Picard's old nemesis Q up to his old tricks.. worth a watch, also has Seven from ST Voyager in it.
hoow good -😉
Stargate SG1!! Plzzzzzzzz - a beautiful desert scape with ruins or something green and lush to represent Chulak!
Why didn't you get 1 co2 system with 3 manifolds? Also those lily pipes are going to be horrible to maintenance.
Avatar Movie inspired aquascape
Out of Africa movie inspires african aquascape
Dune (2021)
What did you quit scaping, bro? What's going on, Alex? Huh??
