Hey guys! Im no expert but I do try. Seems to be a common question but for those who think the bearings are around the wrong way. Its abit hard to see on camera but theres 2 Roll grooved steel washes where the ball bearings sit on. Then reversed the install and it spins like smooth melted butter 😅👌 Hope this clears some things up, Thanks all
For someone who also restored his BMX i feel this. Im 30 and i had my byke set aside fir about 14years now i used a wire brush and git new rims kept my original tires and new bolts. But in the end im riding it with my twin boys that are 5 on each peg going to the park
When you go to tighten the handlebars Do it in a x pattern to apply even pressure on the stem, if not the uneven pressure could cause the stem to crack and bolts break on a hard impact.
I have a mongoose bike from my child hood Your video show me to paint it I'm making this bike a lowrider bike I appreciate you very much thanks for sharing your video
I like taking midschool bikes and rebuilding them with all modern components, also flipping the seat guts like you did was a midschool trick to move the seat forward making barspins and no handers easier, also gives more clearance off the back of the bike when doing toboggans
Hey dude! Thanks I really enjoy restoring bikes! I have Verge side pickup coming soon, So i may have a few to restore 👌 my next video coming is a skateboard with Fiberglass on it, im glassing today so stay tuned if you'd like
@@aussierestorationsmods2715 btw the clamp for the bars is called a stem and the clamps for the pedals ( long round things ) are called crank arms just to give you some more technical words in bike repair
This is a Fivestar made by Mirraco. They are really good bmx bikes. the top tube is 19 inches and the frame is super light. I have one as well, upgraded it from all the factory parts and I love it. Nice build mate!
Good as new I'm so amazed about what you did to your old bike it really looks new i hope i have a also a lot of money so that i can also make my bike looks good as new
This is so cool, I’ve always wanted to find an old bike and restore it like this. You did a great job and that’s so cool how this is your childhood bike. Keep doing cool things, peace man. #ArrestBillGates
Hey brother! Thats great! Well you can tbh, I did my first bike with some Sand paper, Basic hand tools, Wax & Grease remover, spray paint 👍 thankyou for watching! New video coming soon 😁
Aussie Restorations & Mods yeah I’ve been looking around on the app letgo for some good used bikes. Also I’m an experienced graffiti artist but never spray painted anything like this before so when I find a bike I hope the paint turns out good.
@@aussierestorationsmods2715 I did! I actually started it today! Proud I started this lil project I can fix for my son to ride in the future…..only….my basement is ruined now and mines never gona look that good. Can’t paint for shit! Hah great vid tho bro
The bike turned out awesome. I wish I had some of my old bikes to restore. I hate to be the one to point this out, polish aluminum is not chrome.I'm sure you know that seeing how you're the one that put all the hours into polishing the aluminum and making it shine like chrome. Anyway keep up the good work.
Yeah I see that, but your fine 😁, I kinda lose track of time hand sanding with water with all the little parts, Ussally can take up to 3+ hours, (including polishing) Need that shine but thanks for sticking around and commenting! 😊🌟
it's a great feeling to see u doing well in this channel..keep on the goodwork friend..hopefully u may be monetize when u reach 1k subs..always praying for you..cheers
@Aussie Restorations & Mods For rust removal, try citric acid. It's a powder that can be bought in small quantities from supermarkets (used for cooking) or from cleaning suppliers in larger quantities. I use Trumps brand. Dissolve some in water, put the rusty metal in for 15 minutes or so, and rinse. It's easy on the skin and not dangerous an any way. You can eat the stuff if you want.
Good job 👍🏼 bringing a old bmx bike back to life. 🤧 but the lower fork bearing was put in upside down. The bearings always install with the balls facing the round curvature of the neck brace. Other than that awesome work.
2023 is a big year already! I have the biggest project I’m taking on! Maby even too big for me, but come check it out over on my channel! Pt.1 out now
Hello,I don't know if it really matters anymore but I found out what your bike was. It was a Mirra Co. Five Star.

What buffing tools and compound did you use to buff the stem and seat clamp?

Thankyou so much my friend, ive been working on a 6k special scooter for haloween 😁🎃 I appreciate you dude
You killed it man! Paint came out great, just like the video!!
When you go to tighten the handlebars
Do it in a x pattern to apply even pressure on the stem, if not the uneven pressure could cause the stem to crack and bolts break on a hard impact.
Or crush the handle bars
All the effort put into the process of restoring the bike is amazing, great work dude!
Thanks man I appreciate it, took about a week to finish, thats in-between everything else I do 😁👌
Sana all may gamit na pang gawa.
