Yeah if you do it right and use good quality paint. I painted my current bmx bikes frame using Krylon Fusion Paint + Primer, and then Rustolium Clear Enamel. I didn’t do any wet sanding so it’s not rrally a glossy finish like I was hoping even tho I used gloss purple paint. It’s like a matte purple. I did the paint job around two months ago and have ridden it maybe 7 times since then and my bike has gotten really muddy and hit was small gravel pieces over and over and the paint is still perfect. I’ve painted like 5 bikes and this was the first time it turned out nice like I was hoping. You need to do alot of research on how to properly spray paint your frame. Don’t skip steps and put in the effort and it will turn out good if you do it right.
It’s a little town in Cheshire England…kids round here have no respect for anything even their bike…most mornings on my ride out I’ll see two or three just dumped in the street ☹️☹️
I came out really nice. I love that color purple. I also like the subtle hints of fluorescent yellow and black that way the bikes not overly done great job

It wasn't real junk. He did the "rust" probably by himself. Didn't you notice how easy the "rust" came off, but the paint *underneath* (LOL) sticked very well to the frame? ~3:30
I don't even have the words to say how much I loved this! Absolutely freakin' amazing Martin, and just a pleasure to watch! Wonderful restoration and brilliant video! Cheers!
I was about to flip out when I saw you put that small sprocket on the front but keep the 16T freewheel on the back lol. Was about to leave a spicy comment but 5 seconds later you swapped it out haha .... Restoration looks great.
Love the color. Atm im restoring a 97 yz80 and i love lambo purple i will be doing my frame that color now. I know i wanted purple frame before i saw this video now i know what purple to use
I dunno, this looks a bit fake to me. The rust looks sprayed on. The cable outers have orange on them. That seems odd as they are plastic. The seat post is clean one removed from the frame, the bars are clean once removed from the stem. All bolt threads look rust free and actually seemingly greased. Although I love restoration videos and I applaud someone making an old bike better, this just does not seem fully truthful. I hope I'm wrong.
@@antonwouters4284It’s definitely fake. Plastic does not rust. You can also see the “rust” scratched off on the pegs. It’s also way too fully covered and only surface rusted, instead of deep rust on corners. I hate creators that make fake content like this.
Is it okay to use spray cans that are used in grafitti? Like molotow?
Yes check this video for a tutorial: ruclips.net/video/yuruo4qVvSY/видео.html
