I think the sixth bag category (for people like us anyway) is the ‘doesn’t matter’ bag. Doesn’t matter if it’s raining. Doesn’t matter if it gets knocked about. Doesn’t matter if I get colour transfer on it. Doesn’t matter if my child accidentally drops it. This would normally be a non designer bag, probably in a canvas or textured black leather. I made sure to have one of these when I went on holidays because I just never had to fuss about my bag or the weather etc. My daughter now takes that bag to concerts and gets glitter and soft drinks on it and it just doesn’t matter.
My Longchamp tote is this for me. They wash up great and are very durable. My oldest one is almost 20 years old and looks good still. Not perfect, but still very good.
Agree. Same. After the last crazy quality drop and price hike I promised myself a cool fake for Christmas, I've already scouted it out at *condup* and will put the rest into an investment account.
The most difficult thing apart from styling, is the practical element of switching out your things from one bag to another. Over time I've learned to remove absolutely everything from the last bag. Otherwise you're on a constant search for the missing items you didn't carry forward. Basic, I know.
I now keep a shallow basket in my wardrobe where I empty the contents of my bag into. In there I will also have varying sizes of pouches/SLGs I can pick and choose from 😊
@@MotherOfPearlsxo Great idea, and efficient. The issue I have is inevitably I just obsess about one bag for a long period and then switch it out. It's a lot of effort to switch and most of the time I can't be bothered. I need to make the effort!
Great video!!! Fun to see the excitement and joy these bags bring to you and are perfect examples of the important styles and requirements we all face in our collections!!!! Thanks so much for sharing!🤗
Great video! Never get tired of your unique vibrant collection. Good reminder to have bags that bring you joy! Love your jungle themed Lady Dior ❤ it screams Amelia!
I agree with you 💯. I'm pretty happy with what I have but see a few "duplicates" I don't need and at least one that doesn't really fit a darn thing despite how pretty they are. Selling them is looking better by the day 😉.
Great categories. I personally don’t use ‘small day to night cross body’s’ as I have to carry quite a lot of stuff for an eye condition. Small bags don’t work for me anymore for this reason. Which is annoying as they are a great option. I’m oversubscribed in the larger casual crossbody category however! I’m waiting on a bag which I’m hoping will cover both ‘elegant’ and ‘whoa’ in equal measure. We shall see. Your video has made me think that currently I do lack that one bag that makes my heart sing. I need to work on that.
Totally agree with all the points. You should have at least one bag for each purpose. My favourite is the 5th position. I love when a bag is unusual and elevates your whole look. With a bag like this, you can literally wear a plain tshirt and jeans and still look fabulous.
I actually completely downsized what I carried when I got my first Chanel mini 20 years ago (I have 18 now, Im addicted) and now I struggle with filling anything bigger than a medium CF.
Hi Amelia do you think you could possibly make a list of all of the bags you have ever bought? Maybe in a timeline format! Tht would be so interesting to see your bag journey❤️❤️❤️ I love your videos so much
@@ameliarosescloset oh I know it’s going to be hard to remember every single one! I know how extensive your bag collection has been! Would just be nice to see which bags have stayed with you throughout the years and which ones you gotten rid of!
I'm poor. I would always worry about an expensive bag. There's no such thing is as a practical luxury bag on my salary. I admire bags. But give me my Kipling seoul backpack everyday thank you very much.
For quiet luxury in action, I choose *condup* to buy replica bags... as a backup for the real thing, and can be used in situations where I don’t want to use the real thing.
I have a lot of totes because I have an office job that requires my laptop and I travel a lot. My most recent tote purchase was a Fauré Le Page Daily Battle 35 Dragon Scale. I have to say the coated canvas is very durable and the stitching and quality is impeccable. It’s not a cheap bag and I’m not sure why more don’t talk about it. I highly recommend for a luxury tote if you don’t want LV or Goyard.
I dont feel like i need a big tote. however i totally agree on the everyday casual crossbody and for that i got my longchamp xs and love it. Actually i can make it semi dressy taking off the strap. Actually all my crossbody bags are small medium bags lol. And you know i think my canvas lepliage is a little swiss army. Im planning to add the pouch with handle for formal occasions from longchamp as well Even for dressy events i decided i want something carefree. Something i wont be 😂😂stressed over if someone throws accidentally his drink on my bag. I swear the longchamp lepliage line has a lepliage for for every freaking occasion. Im in love with longchamp lepliage. Right now i only have the xs energy but i want to add the small le pliage from the green collection and the pouch with handle le pliage from the city collection
@@ameliarosescloset you don’t appreciate them enough till you have them. Stylish practical and perfect for unpredictable weather days. Actually I’d like to get a pouch with handle as a clutch.
Great video! Totally agree with your choices. I’ll choose a Fendi mini baguette over Chanel without question. I’m not a fan of Chanel, especially the way they handle (first time) customers. A lot of luxury houses can learn a thing or two from Fendi imo, they treat you like royalty is my experience. And I’m not a ‘big spender’ client, I’m a ‘one bag per year’ kinda girl (sometimes two 🤫)
I have some bags that fit into your categories, but that sparkly Dior animal bag is the one that I would definitely want to grab out of your hands and run away with. 🐯💖👍🏽

Mine s the Speedy 30. Great idea! A doesn’t matter bag. Maybe she’ll do a video on a few. That would be interesting. Although we love them all!
The Pochette Metis is one of the best designs ever. I think it's a staple just like a tote.
