I requested the Sabaton 1916 reaction.
And another one you might like is called
    The Unkillable Soldier.

Loved the song but I have to admit, watching the video was extremely hard for me. I have so much love for the people of Japan and it's culture. I know things had to happen but war is never somethng we want. 日本万歳

As you know I share your love of Japan strongly too. It’s an incredible country. But it breaks my heart to have to bear witness to what could be the beginning of the end of it being one of the safest, cleanest and most respectable countries in the world. I watched a podcast segment from my favourite podcast team and there are lots of videos and pictures of clear signs of the beginning of a decline. 😔

This was a really interesting reaction....and I had somehow not seen this particular video from Sabaton.
There is one factual error in the lyrics of the song...at around 4:26 the line "barrern for decades to come" is sung...but we all know that is not true. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were definitely not barren for very long at all, and were both back to their 1945 population levels by 1953 or 1954. But hey, nobody gets their historical facts from songs, right?
And one thing about your comments that I wanted to say is that if you look at the aerial photos of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, they look almost identical to the photos of Tokyo after the firebombing of March 1945...the destruction is quite similar. For good or ill, the big differences between firebombing and atomic bombing are how quickly they happen, and how few planes one takes as compared to the other. I am not saying that you are wrong to suggest folks look at the aerial photos, they definitely should...I would just also let them know how similar the destruction was to firebombing and emphasize how one took hundreds of planes over the course of hours and hours, and the other took just one plane and only a few instants.
