Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on RUclips, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on RUclips. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on RUclips, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

Mike Pinder on that amazing mellotron and Justin Hayward on vocals. This album is the very roots of prog rock. It's a concept album that really needs to be heard in full, but this one and "Nights in White Satin" are the standout songs.

Legend of a Mind will blow you away.
Another great song that rocks like Question is You and Me.

Arguably the first prog rock album. Add to that, its a concept album and a symphonic rock album too. Days of Future Passed is an amazing experience with the London Festival Orchestra weaving in and out of every song. The longer version of this song just includes the symphonic outro. Always go for the longer versions ;) the entire piece contemplates one full day. Its beautiful.

My first concert without family, just my friends and I on a teenage adventure to the big city. Stormy day, sparks flying off the electric streetcar lines, the roof of the Seattle coliseum leaking like a sieve, opening act some blind guitar player named Charlie Starr and a lady on a harp. 50 + years ago I guess. Wow

Sung by Justin HAYWARD who wrote this song also, a song he just wrote from his thoughts…1967 he is a genius! Still living at 78!

IMO, the Moody Blues 2 best songs were *You And Me* & *The Land Of Make Believe,* both of which were on their 7th album, *Seventh Sojourn.* They both have these soaring passages that give me chills, they are so beautiful...

I have this LP, should be listened to in it's entirety. It starts out in the morning and goes all the way through to Night's In White Satin. LOVE that song. Try listening to the whole LP.

They always did their own thing and it was great. Their songs always take you somewhere.

Days of Future Passed is one of the first progressive rock concept albums, it was the use of an orchestral themes underlying the rock elements that puts this combination of genres into the progressive rock genre more than the time signature changes which also do happen. When you listen to album from start to finish it makes more sense as the orchestral interludes link one theme to the next from the metaphorical sunrise to sunset.

The song is part of a concept album, Days of Future Passed about a day, or a life of a person. I see this song as someone who has started a career or is moving forward in their life, as reflected in the lyrics "now I'm on my way". The flute is considered a strong part of Prog Rock.

This is from the Days of Future Passed album, their second overall and their first using this progressive rock sound. Moody Blues albums were recorded gapless and were intended to be heard continuously a side at a time. That makes it harder to recommend individual songs as they tend to fade into each other, but try "Legend of a Mind," "Lazy Day," or "Gypsy (of a Strange and Distant Time)." Each is very different from the others, but all three are quintessential Moodies songs

Days of future past was a concept, following an ordinary day. They recorded it with a full symphony orchestra, so there is extensive classical music on the album. The magnificent Nights in white satin concludes it I prefer their more traditional sounding output, really.
Isn't life strange is worth a spin.

Nice reaction. I like your taste in music to react to, kind of classic rock isn't it?
I also like that you educate yourself and the audience by looking up details about the song. So many reaction people (reactioneers?) don't know what the hell they're listening to eg what country, what era etc

The definitive concept album that must be played in it's entirety. My favorite group if I had to pick one, which I can't...

When in doubt just go with the album’s original recording . The whole album was a legendary breakthrough symphonic progressive album. It was truly the first of its kind!7 straight brilliant albums that are appreciated most when listened to in complete form!

A great old band! "Nights in White Satin" is perhaps their most widely known. It was our Prom song in 1977. They do the song later in years, LIVE, with a full orchestra. Outstanding... it will give you chills. It's fun to watch their original video then 50 years later. Unbelievable. Great reaction, as usual. ✌ Jodi/Child of the 60s

Great job, but this song is even better when combined (as in the original album) as one track with "Evening." So gorgeous, even more powerful. Thanks!

YAY! I was happy to see another Moody Blues song! 😀 The album “Days of future passed” (Tuesday afternoon is from that album) is sensational! It can’t really be described… you just have to hear it! Loved your reaction! Thank you!!!

  • @KevinRCarr

This song is actually part of the Days of Future Past concept album that I mentioned before. You really owe yourself the opportunity sometime to listen to the whole album, start to finish, as it's meant to be heard...even if you just do it on your own and not for the channel. That's the only way the "meaning" of this song will make any sense to you, since the album tells a story.
