2. A large sea chimes DIY for my window. I use dollar tree rope, twine, seashells, starfish and Capiz shells from Amazon. This is amazing.

You need a special drill bits it is circular and looks like silver sand paper on the end.

Love the beach one. Coloring the capiz shells was such a great idea. They turned out beautifully.
Your channel just started showing up…LOVE IT. Just wanted to say that if you wanted to put some of these crafts outside, and you thought heat might be an issue with the hot glue, use E6000 in conjunction with the hot glue. The hot glue will hold things in place, while the E6000 sets up. Then if high temps loosen the hot glue, the E000 should hold it…Happy Crafting.
My favorites are the capsiz shells and the driftwood and starfish wind chimes. So pretty!
You should really try drilling the shells- I just did a bunch and was surprised how great they turned out and I only used bits from my husband’s stash! The shells are not as delicate as we all assume!

When I realized that the sand dollars in the DT collection already had holes I got a couple of packs to make a wind chime--they are light-weight enough to make a nice sound, or I made one with little meta tubes in the middle of them.

I recently found your channel and love it! Coastal decor is my thing even though I moved away from the ocean. Drilling shells is super easy and fast with a dremel! I also drill sea glass which is definitely more challenging.

It’s a large screened in area with a roof attached to the back of our home. We have a dining set, an outdoor sectional and a hot tub in ours. They are popular in Florida which is probably why they are called that. Outdoor living 😊

They all came out so pretty. I have so many shells and sea glass. I live on the coast of Maine so I have an endless supply of them. You have inspired me to make wind chimes with some. Have you seen the bags of drift wood at DT? They are around the same size as the wood sticks you used. But I don't think as many comes in the package. ❤

I agree with the others that said the capital shells wind home was great. I did not know that the capiz shells could be dyed. They came out perfect. What heating him did you buy from Amazon? I did not see it under your craft supplies.
When you dyed the scales...... I wonder how it would have worked if, when removed, they were placed in a cooling rack with a sheet pan, then placed in an oven for drying.
